I enjoy walking here, very calming. Great place to have picnics, theres plenty of benches and chairs. Theres also a playground. Connected to various paths to other towns.

A beautiful place to take ur family. Scenic area right next to the fox river. The play park for kids is very fitness oriented with rock and tree climbing, they have a small zip line as well. Close by is a clean public facility to use. Highly recommend this for a nice pic nik or walk. ( nice fishing spots as well )

This historic and beautiful island park was formed, in the Fox River, when a mill-race was dug along the rivers east-bank. This occurred during the first half of the nineteenth-century, when the wild-west pioneer-town Geneva was being settled. A paved path runs through the park, which is filled with trees, flower-gardens, and a favorite playground. Other activities, here, include: fishing, picnicking, and occasional art and music festivals.

We like going here after doing a whole house paint job. It is so relaxing sitting next to the Fox River, and listening to flow. It had been many years ago and area businesses changed, but still very nice. Clean bathrooms and friendly people.

Always a nice stroll, Bridges at both ends, Ducks, marsh, river, playground for the kiddos, whats not to like. The park areas north of 38 on both sides of the river are really nice too. Wish I had enough money to buy the abandoned restaurant/bar there on the corner there, would make a hell of a brewpub on the river.

Zip lane was the best for kids. Will come back here on summer.

We love coming to this park after breakfast at Egg Harbor. We walk on over and burn off those calories. The bike path is great and the park is perfect for all ages. A lot of Sunday mornings are spent here.

Always a beautiful stroll. The playground is wonderful. Not sure what happened to all of the tall oaks. Seems like a lot of replanting of new trees. There is a LOT of goose poop. It is also hard to walk with little kids who have a tendency to run, dart, and dash because there is A LOT of bike traffic and it can be dangerous.

When I think of Geneva besides family and friends I think of this park it is absolutely beautiful

We love Island Park!! Its one of the only playgrounds in the area in the shade. Its right off the bike path and there are bathrooms very close. Best of all, theres a zipline!

This is a fun little place right along the Fox River in downtown Geneva. It is a beautiful place to walk, ride, fish, or just take in the scenery.

Its a great place for hiking and walking. You have to be careful to avoid the debris from the geese. The geese are fun to to watch. You can walk with him a couple feet of them and they might hiss at you but thats the worst that they will do. The center of the island was flooded today with the walkway was dry at least one of them. One goose flew across the pool of water in the middle of the island and when Landing on his feet he used in like water skis and and skated across the top of the water for about three feet until we hit the shore. Then he hissed at me because I was only a couple feet away. But then you turned and called his mate to come join him

Its a delightful park, but its covered in poop, theres always garbage lying around. Not to mention it floods constantly killing grass and trees. It could probably be better with some rain gardens or something. I think theres a huge missed opportunity there.I also like the bike station, thats pretty cool and seems to get a lot of use.

Nice little park along the Fox River. Usually stop here on our bike rides. Zip line is our kids favorite. Only knock would be a lack of seating areas. There used to be a picnic table or two next to the park, and I noticed theyre no longer placed near the park.

This is a great little park, but whith that being said. My rating is based on the fact that the bike path is poorly integrated into the park design. I have had way too many close calls from the lack of design considerations made to integrate the foot and bicycle traffic. It not a bike vs pedestrian issue its a design problem.

It was good, but theres Goose Poop.

A walk through Island Park always reminds me of why I wanted to move to Geneva. Beautiful setting on the Fox River. Kids enjoy the playground (with zip line). Being an island park, it does require a bit more effort to get there. It is always worth it. Plenty of benches and picnic tables.

Nice park. Full grown oak trees, bike path, picnic tables, playground, pavilion with bathrooms and drinking fountain. Some of the grass is patchy.

Island Park is best when there are few people. Geese abound most times of the year, so dont wear your best shoes. The view is very pleasant. The roar of the Union Pacific freight, the smell of the water treatment facility, and the gnats that follow you along the riverside, are all part of the parks rich tapestry.

My kids love watching the train go over the river as they play on the playground. Theres beautiful landscaping here and it is just a wonderful space. Public restrooms are a big plus.

Best place to bring kids to park, you dont have to worry about your kiss near the river because the river is only 1 ft deep near the banks. Roofed pavilion for cub and boyscout meetings

A gem of a park. it is an Island and very picturesque. The play ground is nice with a small zip line for the kids.Only negative is the residue from the geese sometimes is alot

Island Park in Geneva is a gorgeous, picturesque park located right on the Fox River. It’s a little tricky to get to, but once you’ve found it, it’s a playground kid’s paradise. I usually park in the small public parking lot near Mill Race Cyclery and walk over to the park. Be prepared to walk for a bit. You can’t park right next to the park, the only way there is to bike it from the car or walk. It’s maybe a ½ mile walk. The Fox River Trail, over a bridge, is the only way in. Now that I’ve made it sound like a super-secret society (it’s really not!), there are a few things to know about this park.The playground is made to look like a treehouse. It’s huge and really cool. Lots of opportunities for kids to climb and there are plenty of slides too. There’s also a small zip line located right next to the playground. From the playground you can see a train bridge and my son had loved watching trains go by.There’s a pavilion here with restrooms, but the restrooms are only open during the summer months. There’s also a few picnic tables and benches surrounding the playground.
