I love this place. Its my favorite place to drink on the island. I think the bartender I like the best is Shane? I could be wrong about the name he was great at his job. The other two Ive met were nice but didnt mix drinks or promote a great vibe like he did.

Super friendly, location has lots of character. It allows smoking... a nice glimpse at Galvestons history. My rating isnt critical. It is what it is and as such is totally enjoyable.

This is obviously a smoking bar. The small almost knocked my wife and I over when we opened the door. Understand, I am a cigar smoker but only outdoors. It could be a great place but we will never know.

Great neighborhood bar I go to while in town. Friendly and knowledgeable bartenders and the small town feel you look for when you are in paradise. Great patrons.Pool, darts, tables, and bar. Dont expect much though, its fairly small and can get packed or loud depending on the people.

Best Lil pub in The Strand area... Actually on Post Office, this place is super cute and SUPER friendly! This is where its at baby!! Jen and Ben and Chris rock the bar with witty humor...but for the crown jewel of the place is Chris hot dog masterpieces. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

One of the 3 major Irish pubs in downtown. This place has more of a local feel than any of the others which, if you know Galveston, can be a very good or bad thing. The bartenders know their stuff and they do it well. Great place to just get a beer or even an Irish car bomb if you are so inclined.

OMalleys is a pub. Its nice and dark and smokey, and you and all your friends can drink beers or mixed drinks or take shots. Plus, theres Frito pies and sandwiches, and an outside area for hanging out or drinking or smoking, too. Want to watch the game? Its definitely playing at OMalleys. Right across from the kung fu movies. Overall, A++ Its a downtown staple!

This is the best pub on the island. They have great drink selections, the atmosphere is very laid back, the staff is very friendly, and they have the best sandwiches on the island.

Not too friendly, but solid beer selection

First of all, I came for the cinco de mayo beer special that is clearly advertised on the wall. The bartender never refused to give me those prices, but she didnt offer them either. I was really upset. She also had really pretty hair. It was aggravating how pretty it was. I ordered a cocktail and the Turkey melt.The food was good, EXCEPT they placed a pickle on top of my chips and it made them soggy. Eww.The cocktail was pretty decent. It could have had one more cube of ice, but Im not trying to nit-pick. Everything was going great until I had to relieve myself in the bathroom. I have irritable bowel syndrome and the Turkey melt was running its course. I went to the bathroom and it was so tiny!!! The hand dryer is located too close to the commode and it kept going off while I was trying to relieve myself. I also think they need to fix their jukebox, it was broken and kept playing musicals. I mean, horrible songs from Annie, rocky horror picture show, and grease.Just kidding. This place is great, despite the horrible musicals. Haha. Andi is great!

The service was slow and the waitress was a total TWAT. On top of that, they falsified my tip information! I left a 15% tip of $7 and she tried to change it to $17!! A huge battle with them and my bank ensued... NOT WORTH IT! Brews Brothers is WAY BETTER.
