Awesome pizza and the mixed drinks are very affordable and made perfectly! I come here every time I visit Galveston and they never let me down! I definitely recommend checking them out!

Irish Pub bigger than it looks, cool setup. Seriously good pizza, drinks r good and prices too. Only 1 pool table and I love pool wish they had more than one. They have a cigerette machine too which is rare here it seems.

This is an excellent place to grab a few beers and a bite to eat! Im more of a beer drinker . . . Murphys Pub has a great selection of beer. They rotate in a lot of great local beers (and some great stuff you dont see often). They had Kern River and Smog City on tap today. On deck theyll have Knotty from Three Weavers and a Mumford beer coming. These are some great local LA breweries!

First the decor is awesome! The owner and staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their food choices are comfort foods that call you back to the 50s and 60s. The atmosphere is a mix of couples and friends hanging out.

Bartenders were inattentive and rude. I guess because they think they are all that, they can treat you how they want and expect a tip. We ordered a pizza and it took so long, some in my group were getting sleepy. Then one of the bartenders started banging on our table with a beer bottle saying we cant put our head down. We said we were waiting for the food we ordered long ago. It still took another half hour for it to come. Dont come here because the experience is not worth it.

(11/7/20) Bartender misplaced my drivers license (traded id as collateral to play shuffleboard) due to being dysfunctional from drinking while on the job. This act was witnessed by myself and several others within my party during our time at the bar. The person behind the bar that gave my id away to the wrong person was the manager on duty! She told me there was nothing I can do and asked me to leave?? I asked her if there was another supervisor to speak with and she said, maybe...?? This bartender along with the bar is in direct violation of TABC and should be thoroughly investigated. I should be compensated for the loss of my id and the employee should be terminated immediately and her TABC certification revoked. Do NOT visit this bar.

It was the worst experience I ever received and I live on the Island it was my first time there order a pizza they took about an hour I had to get up and asked them where was my pizza why is it taken so long while Im at the counter A woman by the name of Amber Rains (and I ask ) whom I overheard telling somebody she use to work their got our number and slammed it on the table telling my guest you cant sleep here AAUgh my friend was probably falling asleep as they were taking forever with our pizza which I believe was sitting on the counter since I had to go pick it up myself because I never saw a Waiter come to our table.What I dont understand is if Amber use to work there than why was she behind the counter and if she does work there than she needs to work on her customer service skills or take a course in learning customer service.

Cool Irish bar with a huge patio but no live entertainment to speak of...

I remember back in the day the white pizza being delicious.. today i was slightly disappointed. Undercooked. And a little cold (but i was like 5 min late for quoted tine). The soft pretzel was not soft at all. In fact like a normal sour dough pretzel impossible to eat. Disappointed..

The pizza and pretzels are great. But it is painfully obvious that this place does not want people of color patronizing. The bartenders, except for Bougie, are rude. They project an air that they own it. I waited for 5 min. before even being acknowledged. No...this isnt the first time. This is why I say painfully obvious. I even considered contacting the owner...but from the mouth of one of the bartenders...skinny guy. He hasnt seen an owner for months. They dont care about --it except the bottom line. you dont have to believe me see for yourself.

They don’t come to serve you but it’s pretty low key if you want something super calm. I wouldn’t go here again but it’s pretty fine. It’s not bad though.

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We laughed the whole time we were there. Drinks were well priced. Ordered pizza and the order was correct and quick. They were even happy to box things up for us as we forgot to say that our order was to go.

Great low key bar just off the beaten track of the strand. Good beer selection and well priced drinks. Pool darts and other bar games along with a great jukebox. Great for groups and birthdays and other occasions. On top of there friendly staff while price drinks is their food menu which has a white pizza that is great late at night.

Great pub. Boyfriend loves the beer, and we just discovered their amazing pub eats! We had a pretzel, the Duffy, and baked potato salad. Everything was delicious. We cant wait to return and try the pizza!

Coolest Irish pub! Clean and well maintained. All the tables are made of antique sewing table bases which I thought was too cool. The wood frame work inside the building made it feel so authentic. Friendly staff too

I just moved into the area and checked out this place. We sat at the bar where the bartender was cold as ice, if only the draft beer was. We were going to order a bite to eat but after seeing how filthy the menu was decided against it. Bill, another bartender saved the day by engaging with us and showing some personailty.

Good place to have a good time

We were walking down the strand and decided to enter this bar because it looked fun. The Bartender though was incredibly rude as soon as we walked in. We asked if they had any happy hour specials and he demanded we show our ID before he was allowed to tell us if it was even happy hour at all. After we showed him our ID he said yes it was happy hour but if we werent super specific about what we wanted he wouldnt tell us if it was discounted or not. We told him well what about your tap. Whats on happy hour he told us it ranges. You need to tell me what you want. Every time we asked anything we got a snarky comment and a half response. After going back and forth for over 5 minutes asking and him being extremely rude with every answer we decided just to leave because it was not worth dealing with someone who clearly did not want us there as soon as we walked in. We came in on may 21st between 5:15 and 5:45pm. Whoever was working as bartender at that time obviously did not want to be there and was not hospitable at all. We will not be returning ever again.

Nice little hole in the wall. Clean and tidy. Staff was very friendly.

Great selection of beers, however there were no visible prices. The bartender was also in charge of making food, so he was running back and forth, which resulted in long wait times in the bar and an even longer wait time for food. The door was kept open dispite the cold weather, so we had to wear our coats inside. I will give it another chance on a less busy night, as the venue has great potential for being an awesome experience.

We waited 30 minutes for a server to come help us and that is so unacceptable so we just left i was looking forward to the food that people recommend but i want going to wait another 30 minutes for food. disappointing. the place was very messy and tables were sticky.

Murphys is the jam. There is adequate room to roam around and kick it with your buds. As Im sure has been mentioned, get the white pizza. You wont be disappointed.

Visited 2018.02.02; the environment was very lively, fun, and energetic. A bustling bar, when Im more the quiet type, but still held a comfortable welcome. The food looks great - had the Texas melt, and it was pretty thick while hitting the spot for a wholesome snack.

It was early in the day stopped in for a Sprite and since I was first customer of the day, it was perfect. Good conversation with the barkeep, good atmosphere. Look forward to making it a regular stop.

Murphs is one of my favorite places on the island. I love their bartenders and ye ol Irish pub atmosphere, but I absolutely looove their pizza! It is, IMO, the best pizza on the island; It is my go-to pizza whether ordering in or heading to the pub.

The bartender was attentive... however, the draft beer was not cold.
