I wouldve given 5 stars if wed been placed anywhere but the massively uneven gravel campground. Who wants to step out of their RV and have to walk 100 yards to get to grass? Otherwise tho, its wonderfully run, and beautiful there, right on the N fork of the Shenandoah. Try to get a spot down by the river if you can!

Very unhappy! Will not come again! We are premier coast to coast members we came in with another couple that were also premier coast to coast we were not able to camp anywhere near each other. We asked security to try to move us and she told us she couldn’t help us! We also paid $17.00 a night to stay was told if paid cash would be easier ( probably to hide from government)

Stayed one night under Coast to Coast $10/night. Not included in Coast book is $17 utility fee (it states that on their website which I didnt know about)...pool was closed on 94 degree day and absolutely nothing going on!! $17 is too much too pay for water and electric for 1 night! Site was really tight and unlevel. We have stayed there a couple of times in the past but will never stop again! In my opinion, Coast to Coast should consider dropping them

September 6th 2019We picked this place on the internet. We have been very dissapointed. We have a 38 foot long RV and we are in a spot of a 32-35 foot long. The place look ok. gravel and all. Not a place that I will come back to. The price is too much for what they have to offer. Not a great place for sure.

As others have said, the C loop (where most non members are sent) is just gravel, but has full hookups, a large bathroom with hot and high pressure showers, and laundry ($2 per wash, $2 per dry). With Passport America, very reasonavel price. Would be pretty pricey paying the normal rate.

I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. It wasnt quite worth 4 but a little better than 3! There were nice areas of grass however the sites in C block were on rocks. We didnt find the people staying near us to be very friendly - not sure if they were seasonal tenants or not though. I had some issues with the washers and dryers taking my quarters and not giving me credit, which after losing $3 or so dollars I went up to the office to fuss. But the real pisser was that my whites/lights came out super dingy :(.

We had this resort booked for a trip, when we got there our motorhome stalled at the entrance gate and would not start again. With help from the staff they guided us under there power into the maintenance parking lot off the road to let patrons continue through to there camp sites. They found a mechanic for me who stays in the park all Summer. He came to the parking lot and hooked me up to the OCD computer to determine what what was wrong with my motorhome. He found the TPS switch was bad and the Throttle Plate was sticking. He helped me order the parts on line and installed them when they came in. The Park was so very very good to us in helping and accommodating us with our stay. We cant say enough about this camp ground. We had 50A, water and sewer hook up in the parking lot. When we visit Virginia again, they are our first stop. This is from Grateful Canadians.Lew and Lynn

Its really gone downhill each visit. This visit was by far the worst. This isnt camping... its more like weekend at the Trailer Park.Third time here in 3 years as we were considering membership with friends. We quickly discovered after our 1st visit that this place is NOT tent friendly.Reservations were a challenge as the office is/was closed Tue-Thu which made it difficult to plan our stay from 3 hours away. We almost went elsewhere at this point. To start off we found ourselves in a long line of vehicles at the front gate, unable to get to our site as we crept behind pedestrians and golf carts unwilling to move off the road. After a 15-20 minute crawl all the way in, we finally found our extremely small site and greeted by the aroma of sewage. (Were not new to travel and when I say small, I mean awning touching neighbor tight.)After wedging our smaller 16 footer in, we borrowed a few 8×8s to level out in the gravel and mud holes. We opted not to use the rotten picnic table with exposed nails left in the middle of the driveway. So we hooked up to a suspiciously fragile PVC faucet with brown tinted water and a sketchy power box with a burnt outlet. As we tried to unload and figure out a parking plan for 2 vehicles, we were suddenly visited by a rude and bossy host(?) in pick-up truck with a list of dos and donts... saying something about a $500 fine. This was followed by a request to give her raffle money for a grill. In fairness some of the actual staff seemed helpful as we ventured to do a few activities. Thus the additional star. The pool was decent sized and clean but there was no room to sit poolside for a while. Bring your own chair I guess... the kids wanted snacks/ice cream but everything is Cash Only so we had to pass. (Later on we tried the snackbar and couldnt get service after walking back to get money. The employee just ignored us.) Oh! Have fun finding the side door btw.We walked the area and many of the guests seemed friendly. However we were plesantly surprised at how many were selling various crafts, flea market items and even firewood. Our adventure led us to the river. We took some tubes a went upstream to put in. It was a nice walk, around a 1/2 mile or so. We used the little pool ladder to get in and let current move us. After about a mile we noticed the power lines someone mentioned as the end. Getting out of the river wasnt easy. After scaling some old railroad ties, we quickly went from cool and refreshing to ankle deep in mud and using weeds to pull ourselves up the stairs. We even helped several little kids that were stuck - with no parents in sight. So, we walked the 1/2 mile or so back... mud oozing between our toes. As we approached our site we noticed the facilities. It appears that the mobile shower/Jon has 3 for women and 2 for men. The one for family was being used to wash dogs... how nice.We finally retreated back to our cozy spot to wash our feet, get food and relax. We were happy to discover that someone had parked directly in front of us, blocking us in (should we have opted to go somewhere). As it grew darker we enjoyed the sounds of a band/bands playing bluegrass and classic rock. This was nice until the screams of drunks and sounds of beer bottles breaking went well past midnight.Around 1 a.m. my family was happy to discover that this is when the afterparty begins. Harmonious with nature, youll discover cursing, yelling, ATVs, loud exhaust, car doors slamming and an empowering smell of urine and pot.We loved being kept awake until 4:00 in the morning. Words can not express our delight. When we called security to inquire of their opinion, we were pleased to learn that he was unable to do anything and unfortunately his rover was unavailable.Needless to say that we just cant wait to not become members. I cant imagine a better way to get away with my wife and kids. So much so that we cant wait to never come back.Im honestly surprised at many of the positive reviews. Ive stayed in better 3rd world countries.

OK so I pulled in on a Saturday. When I dropped the trailer I noticed that the water was really brown. I tried to flush the line thinking that the pipe was ruptured, but after 30 minutes of flushing realized that there was a different problem. The next day I called the campground and explained that the water was brown and the girl at the desk explained that she would have it looked at asap. The next two days were the exact same. I then called the manager of the camp ground and was told, yes there was an issue but he couldnt fix it. After a week of the run around, I decided to move from this campground to another one near by.I paid for two weeks but only stayed one and only got $50.00 back, which I though was terrible. I would absolutely recommend going to Poes on the water. The campground has very few ammentities but offer great customer service and clean water along with water front camping. I only write this to warn others of what I encountered not to detour anyone. You can make your own decision but Ive stayed at campgrounds world wide and I would rate North Fork the worst ever.

Coast to Coast members BEWARE!Do not be deceived by the beautiful wooded member sites or the sites by the river. Those sites are not available to you. You will be placed in Section C- which looks more like a Walmart parking lot than an RV site (Actually the Walmart parking lot in Front Royal was nicer in comparison to North Fork Resort). We had booked two side by side sites, since my brother and his family joined us on our annual summer vacation. We were not given side by side sites and my brother was place down the row.The site we were on was covered in black gravel and not level. There is no shade what-so-ever so by the afternoon it was too hot to allow our dogs outside. Our one dog burned her paw on the black gravel. The site had leftover puke as if someone had vomited Fruity Pebbles. There was no picnic table and no fire ring. When I went to the main office and requested a new site, the woman was downright rude. I was told they had no available sites, though I had made the reservation for two side by side sites six weeks earlier. I was advised that they dont pull Coast to Coast reservations until three days prior to your arrival so there is no guarantee to get anything other than sloppy seconds. When I complained about the site not being clean, she advised that its not the resorts responsibility to clean up the site but that of campers.I requested a picnic table and fire ring. They brought us a table that was warped and unusable.I will say, in a positive light that the rest of the resort is nice. The pool was clean. They have a nice dog park and many amenities like horse shoes, bingo, and a grill cafe. There is tubing in the river but check yourself after for leeches.Despite the less than favorable camping experience, we managed to have a good time but we will NEVER come back to North Fork again. So if youre looking to experience the FULL camping experience, this is not the resort for you but if your looking for a quick overnight or willing to use your Rv/trailer as merely a hotel, then by all means it might be suitable.I gave this resort a rating of one star-and for that I am being generous. The staff was not friendly and rude with one exception- I gave a five star to Blake, the pool monitor. He stood out as exceptional and pleasant in the midst of scowling and rude faces.

Camping is ok,but very tight for large motorhomes.reservations....we sent an email, the day before and the same day. no one answered our emails. When we arrived she said we did not have reservations, we said we tried, but she replied, we are changing buildings, dont know why she didnt answer, but you DO not have reservations. So, can we have a site ? oh yes, we have a site for you... so why argue about reservations. She had an attitude when we arrived and when we left, we had a new person asking for our car tag and again this other lady also had an attitude and was upset, we didnt know we had to remit the tag. Again lack of customer service, they clearly do not know what that is....

Camped from July 30 to Aug 6th. 2015. We didnt care to much for our site. They put everyone who is not a member out in C section where it is all stones and no trees. Sites to close together, your jammed in. The section along the Shenadoah river is only for Members. Nothing to do through the week except swim in the pool or float in the creek. Not much of a camp store. Went ot look at Skyline Ranch campground, at least that has shade and staff were more friendly. Will stay there next time. The stock fishing ponds have no fish. Members dont talk to you.

We agree with the Section C review... crushed rock, in the middle of the campground, no grass.. avoid it if you can. All kinds of nice pull-thru sites open. We paid $38/night, way too much for the lack of camping atmosphere. One dryer worked, took us hours! to get our laundry done. Complained, that dryer broke done, on other one fixed... out of five. Laundry area filthy, floors not swept, no carts so your clean laundry would spill on the floor. Always have to go get reimbursed for lost quarters, POA rarely open for that... Spotty wi-if, needed to use my hotspot most of the time. The Shenandoah is beautiful. If you want to camp here, ask for river sites or above sites (on the hills).
