Some great fishing from the docks. Lots of average sized bluegill and one pretty looking Northern Pike.

Not so nice. Someone needs to dredge this little lake. Way too much vegitation in the water. If one has a lot of things to bring the table, one had better have a lot of endurance. There is NO close access, you have to walk a long way from car to table. Nobody is getting in water to swim. There IS a lot of good fishing to be had and the lake is close to Columbia Heights, Hilltop, and is in fridley. Could be a lot better...BUT...could be a lot worse.

Sad to see the beach in such unavailable ruin. I used to swim here as a kid and loved visiting my Nan just to have a chance to go to the beach. Admittedly, Fridley is one of my least favorite places on Earth, so I am likely not a reliable source for opinion here, but sorry to see it closed. I will say in the parks defense that the picnic gazebos are excellent and theres a fairly decent walking path, though.

Ma
Review №29

City of Fridley has definitely let this place go. I lived in Fridley 16 years ago and this place was always yup notch. Now is kinda of in shambles. Lake is scummy. Park is weedy. Paved paths are not well maintained. A shame. No need to come back.

This park is kind of trashed out. The playground is pretty trashed. No nets on the tennis court. Hoops broken off the basket ball court. The beach is usually dirty. The fishing docks are always busy. Lots of very small fish.

The playground is meant for young children 5 and under. My adventurous 3 year was getting bored. It is a sand base, which is nice. There were volleyball, tennis and basketball courts. We went on a Thursday morning, and there were few people there. It looks like you can go fishing here. There are at least 2 docks. There were two pavillions. It looks like there might be a concession stand? Whatever it was was closed, but there were tables. We only looked at the beach, but did not go in. We saw two swans. They had sprayed for something, but swimming was still allowed. Would recommend this playground.

West side of Moore Lake is natural grasses and paved paths. Like what a lake front looks like from settlers traveling by the lake hundreds of years ago. Minnesota Highway 65 splits the 2 bodies of water. I remember taking a canoe under hwy 65 from East lake to the west side. On the east side there is a city park and swimming beach. The City of Fridley has added areeatores to keep the ice open for ducks and geese. Local fishing is done from a dock on east side or non motorized boats. Winter there is ice fishing with portable ice tents. A great park for entertainment and education.

City of Fridley- you are overdue in updating and renovating this park!? There is so much potential on beautiful Moore Lake yet this park and beach is just neglected and frozen in time from 20+ years ago. It wouldnt take much!? I just dont understand what the hold up is... I guess its not a priority...

Hate isnt the word. Fences were locked awfully late in the season. Frequented by strange cults. Otherwise the place has great potential.

Mo
Review №50

So there is plenty of parking, some shaded spots provided by tree cover, there were a few people fishing off the docks and the swimming beach was closed... Seemed like the grounds were home to large amounts of geese which definitely calls for wearing shoes.. what Moore can you expect from a small body of water within city limits...?

Just a block from Totino Grace High School, this cozy Park has much to offer -a fishing pier, a playground, great benches and picnic tables with grills under a beautiful canopy of trees as well as a roof for protection from rain. It was well maintained and only lightly populated on this early Sunday afternoon.

This is a great place to enjoy the sunset as there is a great view to the West. The tennis courts could use some repair. The sand at the beach is a little bit rocky but it is an okay place to take a dip in the summer. There is also a nice fishing pier and some volleyball courts and a couple of shelters and grills available for get-togethers
