Its a beautiful and a scattered lake. The beauty about this lake is that it has treks to walk, jog or cycle and lush green grass makes it perfect for family picnics.

Very nice place in Fremont area. Big area to run or take a walk or bike. Easily you can do 5-10 miles. Easy to get dirt road. You can avoid hard surface if you are running. Plenty of drinking water fountains and restrooms. You have good picnic areas. If you are interested in finishing you can find many folks doing that at different parts of the lake.

Great for dogs on leash, was more shaded than I had thought it would be and well maintained. A lot of people were wearing masks which we really appreciated. Seems like a nice path for bikes as well. Its a lot busier as the sun was setting so Id recommend walking and having a mask if your going at that time.

Love it here, would be nice if they cleaned up some of the geese poop so I could have a picnic with my kids but I understand that would be a large task and not very realistic unfortunately.

Great place for walking/ running trails. Lots of green grassy areas, picnic tables with BBQ grills, great views of the lake, hills and birds! Lots of people with fishing rods, spending a quiet morning at the lake. There is a walkway that goes all the way down to the lake, with lots of benches. Its a great place to watch the birds.

There are many things to do in this recreation area. You can fish, hike or watch birds. There are a good variety of birds in the park. There were many people fishing all around the lake. So, I assume the lake ia good for fishing. There is also a beach on one side of the lake. Hiking around the lake is easy and pleasant.

Several sunny, gravel trails looping around small lakes. Lots of green and water to look out at as you go. Easy to create just the right distance for an outing.

Beautiful multi-purpose East Bay Regional Park in Fremont for hiking, fishing, swimming (seasonal), paddling, picnicking, bird-watching. Restrooms and water available in addition to multiple picnic areas. Exercise circuit. Parking is free at Isherwood Staging Area but it can be hard to snag a spot. Paid parking is available in the main park entrance area. Rare citrus orchard on the little island. Day use only. Nice chill spot, and the bird-watching is spectacular!

Perfect place for a family outing. The man-made Little Beach for the lake where you can swim at well-designed well cap. The trail that goes around both sides of the lake its great to walk and run. The exercise failed as there is great for having a large family pic. If youre in the area and just want to hang out and have some quiet time to some water. This is the perfect place to visit.

It’s one of the larger parks on East Bay. Normally during morning times it is not at all crowded but can get more folks in during afternoons. Especially in summer. There are over 5-6 miles if trails that surround lakes and are mostly flat. It’s a good place for some walking or running workouts.

This is a great place to walk. Its pretty, especially early morning. There is quite a variety of plants to see and a lot of birds as well. Its generally clean and well maintained. There are water fountains (not chilled) at strategic places so you dont need to carry a water bottle. The restrooms are plentiful (both structures and portable). There isnt really much wildlife other than occasional rabbits and feral cats. They have nice grapevines growing on the outside fence.Generally the workers are nice; they usually slow their trucks down so as not to throw up dust on the rare occasions when they pass you on the trails. Its generally clean. Various birdhouses were put in once upon a time and are in increasing states of disrepair. There was an exercise trail put in years ago; the stations are in various stages of disrepair - they dont appear to be maintained by anyone. And the same for the picnic tables (other than in the formal picnic areas). It would be nice if they opened some old gates during the day. And it would be great if they let people use the volleyball courts without having to pay the swim fee. There is never anyone on the courts as far as I have seen.

This is truly a breath taking place for walking running bike riding or just sit on a bench and let your imagination take you ...Right now with this covi virus is very hard to be on the park doing BBQ or on the beachBut regardless still my favorite place to take a chair and take a book and enjoy my day...

This place DEFINITELY exceeded our expectations. We were cruising along and decided to make a spontaneous stop here. I always thought that you had to stick close to the bay to see this kind of place, but this was a great hidden gem. Not crowded/touristy at all, but still well frequented enough that you can find BBQs, bathrooms, picnic tables, fishing spots, and much more!

Great place for walking, biking, or running. Has a lot of restrooms all over the park. Good fishing and swimming. Park can be reserved for partys or events. I really enjoy ridding my bike or going for a walk. You can play volleyball courts in the swimming area. Bring your own horse shoes they have pits for that also. They host a bunch of events all year around for schools and public events. Its a great place nice friendly staff. I recommend coming here. Good for all ages.

This is a gem of a park. Its actually very hard to spot if youre driving along the main road so I never knew it existed until recently. Let me say this, this park blows lake Elizabeth out of the water. When youre there, you feel like somehow youre teleported away from the city. Great views of water, hills and it even has a little beach. Get your butt there and experience it for yourself! You wont regret it.

Ma
Review №45

There are flat gravel trails all around the many lakes inside the recreation area. Theres also the Alameda Creek trail that runs parallel to Paseo Padre.Although its always great fun in the summer, you should also visit if you enjoy the color of Fall. Best to come on a sunny day when the weather is chilly. There are almost no bikers or pedestrians on the weekends in November. Youd feel like you have the whole place to yourself sometimes.Tip: Park in the small lot right off of Isherwood Way off of Paseo Padre or somewhere in the residential area for FREE. If you drive to Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area following Google Maps, you will have to pay for parking.

Best thing about this lake is that I never seen the water muddy even in rainy days. I got an inflatable boat to paddle around and get to the honey hole now that the water level is too high.Great wide property to run , swim area , picnic tables , fishing dock , fish cleaning station and bathrooms. If you fishing use steel sinker or lead free sinkers. You can equally switch your lead sinkers at the gate booth on arrival depending on supply.

Popular for walkers and runners (flat trails) and good for fishermen (always see them, even before the first light of the day) this suburban East Bay park (there is a fee to enter by car) has a swimming in the lake option too. Also there are volleyball grounds and picnic areas. In winter, you can find migratory ducks and grebes (many Western/Clarks grebes are resident baa well) in the lakes. Plenty of parking spaces that you wont run out of options. Compared to many other regional parks nearby, this one is subpar (trail difficulty, length of trails, etc.). That is why I gave it a 3*. Best thing of this park, they open way early in the morning when all other parks open at 8 am.
