This is one of my favorite Bay Area parks, and as far as East Bay goes, this might be my favorite. The hills here are one of the few prominences on the entire East Bay shoreline, making it stand out whilst driving on the Dumbarton or San Mateo Bridges. The wetlands are beautiful and even include a little secret, an excavation site of the Bay Area first peoples (Ohlone Native Americans). There are trails that carve up the wetlands providing access to many scenes of wetland wildlife, from deers and birds, to fish and even sheep during grazing season. The hills contain wild turkey as well. Once atop Red Hill, youll be invited to one of the best natural views of the entire San Francisco Bay. Biking (mostly unpaved) and hiking are welcome activities in most of this park. Do yourself a favor and take a break from the Silicon Valley in this green space, you wont regret it ($5 entrance fee, but none during the pandemic, as of 9/10/20)

Without Google of yelp, we wouldnt be able to come across this little gem. Out of the city area into the wild. My wife and I was able to stroll around in an afternoon walk allowing my daughter to burn off some of her energy. Great place to chill, relax, enjoy the nature while watching birds trying to catch fishes.

Nice park for walking. And it seems pretty cool for biking. There are many trails, some of them are gravel, some of them are covered by asphalt. Very few trails that go up to hills. Nice view to San Francisco Bay and even to the city, but its very far away ;). There are two parking lots that are big enough. I also saw one overflow parking.

This place is a hidden gem! I have lived near this place for so long but didnt discover this place til today. What a beautiful trail and scenery. Very peaceful. Its a bit secluded but still very safe. There are two parking lots. The first parking lot is free. The second parking lot is a mile down near where the trails start and its $5 so make sure you have some cash on you. I would love to come back here again and try out a different trail.

Great place for walking, trecking, hiking and biking. The atmosphere is pleasant... feels like youre in a mountain province. The air is fresh and cold on the skin, and it is quite windy here, dont let the pics make you think that its a warm place even though the sun is shining brightly! Dress accordingly cause youll enjoy it greatly when youre not shivering! We really enjoyed our stay. It is not quite developed like other reserves or parks, it is nature at its fullest, so you have to bring your own recreational tools like a bicycle. $5 entrance fee

Ive been coming here since I was a kid, but it wasnt until recently I really started appreciating what I have here locally. I like coming here for a quick evening hike, or biking from home to explore a bit. Theres some options for shorter steeper hikes, longer flatter walks, areas for biking or picnicking, and some nice water/Marsh areas for exploring. Plenty of wildlife around for pictures and birdwatching. Nicest thing for me, its only 10 minutes away.

Coyote Hills is a regular hiking spot for me. I often head out this way when I need an escape from Bay Area city life. The trails are spread out over the wetlands and surrounding hills. Lots of bikers can be spotted along the road entering in. There are fantastic views of the Bay and lots of quiet spots that sit atop the smaller lakes. Wildlife can be spotted, especially birds and occasionally deer. The Visiter Center is filled with lots of history on the Native Tribes that once inhabited the area and host lots of volunteer activities and classes. My children were able to watch the park personnel feeding two of its resident snakes, and also partake in some crafting. The shop is filled with beautiful souvenirs at very affordable prices. Many great spots available for events. Be sure to check out the Butterfly Garden as well.

A wonderful place to take a walk/hike! There are both moderate, as well as easy trails. Most of the trails, are relatively flat, some with some incline. Hart imagine, over the summer, it would be pretty hot, there arent many places for shade. The one frustrating part, was getting in, there was a line of cars just to get in for the afternoon. If you dont mind a walk, you can park outside the park, and walk all the way in.

A great regional park to go hiking at. There are a variety of trails and paths to hike or bike on. A few trails are flat and cut through the marsh lands and some climb the hills in the park and offer some great views. About 2/3rds of the trails are dirt and mostly for hiking and about 1/3rd are paved and for walking or biking.

Best place to spend your weekend if you like walking and trekking. Its beautiful in monsoon. Enough paid parking space inside ($5 approx). There is free parking ten mins before the actual park. Dont leave valuables in your car if parking in free space. Visitors center is quite in. Check their timings if you wish to explore.
