My favorite park in the city. Theres SO much you can do! whether its watching the old people do remarkably well at pickleball or hang a hammock in the trees, its always a good time. Theres tons of green space for humans and dogs alike to play, as well as a decent amount of tennis and pickleball courts. There are two playgrounds which are divided by age of the child, a wall for tennis, handball, or whatever sport you want I guess, as well as basketball hoop. Also check out meditation rock for a bit of history. And now there are bathrooms! Yay!

Kenmore Park is a very pretty park. While its not super big, its big enough for people and families to go and relax. The addition of the Pickleball courts is a great idea. The only thing I would like to see is some benches for seating on the outside of the courts.

Lots of trees, aka shade. Kids had fun playing on the playgrounds and collecting sticks and pinecones. Beware the poison ivy going up the hill to the big rock though.

This is a cute park kind of hidden away from everything! We love that there are multiple play ground areas for different ages and desires - my son likes to bounce back and forth between them. The one section is a little more old school - like how most playgrounds looked when I was a kid. Metal slides with ladders to walk up & such. When we lived in the area we used to stop by often after I would leave class. They even have a little book library thing, so cute!

Lovely historical home & garden depicting the life of George Washingtons mother and his extended family. Very well run and informative for all individuals seeking to reconnect with our countries heritage. Certainly a must see for all travelers commuting on I-95. Its easily accessible from major thoroughfares & is structured in a way that families can both tour the house and be free to unwind casually walking the gardens! Not to mention that one can take a stroll up & down the avenue observing many other spectacularly preserved historic homes

Great park with so much to offer. Tennis courts, toddler, and tweenie playgrounds. The playground area is completely shaded, which is a huge difference from most. There are even tables if you want to have a picnic. The only thing missing is a water fountain near the playground. I believe theres one past the tennis courts on the Kenmore Ave side of the park.

I love this shady park nestled in downtown Fredericksburg. Its a stones throw from the dog park and right below Meditation Rock. There are two playgrounds, one for ages 2 to 5 and another for 5 and Up. Benches and picnic tables make this a fun place to have lunch with the kids. There are also tennis courts and a book swap kiosk box.

This place is adorable. It’s quaint and quiet most days, perfect for people with little ones that want to enjoy themselves as much as their kids. There are picnic tables, two separated playgrounds (one shaded, one not) and tennis courts all around and a good sized field perfect for playing with your dog or any other small activity like frisbee. There’s also a water fountain for humans and a little dog fountain. Very calming place to go. My husband and I enjoy the swingset at night.

Ive seen this park grow and become a park that I continually frequent on my trips to Fredericksburg. The field space for dogs, soccer and or frisbee is good. The playground is well built and is one of the few that still has swings! The trees are well spaced in parts that allow for extremely relaxing hammocking. The best feature of Kenmore has to be the tennis courts and the addition of four pickleball courts!

This park offers great shade during hot summer days. There are two playgrounds, one geared towards you ger kids and the other (not under the shade) geared towards older kids with two slides, monkey bars, see-saw, and swings. There are picnic tables, and open grassy areas for kids to play. The location is the perfect place to access the canal path too.Ive noticed the crowds usually arent as bad at Kenmore compared to other local parks, but this may be because parking is at a premium and fills up quickly on nice days.

It is a very small park and from what I saw I think it tends to be swampy in several places. The parking on the street is odd to me. I am from Northern Virginia where the parks have their own parking. I was not sure if I needed some sort of residential permit to park on the street. I felt very uncomfortable there
