The staff was really informative, and the wine selection was pretty wide. This can be a good spot to stop if youre looking for a laid back outdoor space to hang out and try some wines. I say can be, because the individual who poured our flight wore a mask that made their opinion for recent social movements clear, and not all may feel welcome by this individuals choice of mask. Ill leave the exact politics out of my review, but please know theres an employee who was open with their opinion, and there was more than one person working behind the bar on a Saturday. You can always ask for who youre most comfortable with!Due to their mask and the variety of locations to drink wine at in the area, I will not personally be returning to this establishment. Please keep politics out of my wine.

Beautiful winery with EXCELLENT staff! I went with a group (Girlfriends Who Dine) and they had everything ready for us upon arrival! They are ready and waiting to help you taste and find YOUR favorite wine! Kirk was one of the staff that helped us and we had no complications.Atmosphere -- quiet, relaxing and perfect for enjoying a glass, or two, of local wines. They also have live music and food!

4.0 Winery hands down is one of the most professional, customer focused companies I have ever dealt with!! My wife and I have been wine club members for several years and have always been treated like royalty. When we go visit in person or dealing with over the phone or on-line. Awhile ago I had ordered a case of one of our favorite red wines. Not realizing that there was a rose with the same label, I ordered the Rose not the red . When I called and spoke to them I was told to keep it and share it with friends and family(which I did) and they promptly sent out the case of red that I had thought I ordered. No extra cost....WOW!Recently I just ordered another case of mixed reds this past Monday, I received it on Wednesday in perfect shape and was updated throughout the entire process. With everything going on right now, this is AMAZING service!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone reading this to become members of their wine club as they have incredible service, fantastic wines and a huge selection.Thank you 4.0 Cellars...We will be customers for life!!

We love this place. The wines are some of the best in the area. This is the first wine membership we joined on my wife’s birthday, and it is where I proposed. Everyone we have met is incredible and friendly. There may be a personality someone doesn’t like, but overall it’s a warm and family atmosphere. Based on the wine itself, this place deserves a 5-star rating, so I’m very disappointed with some of these lesser reviews. I have suggested 4.0 to many of my friends, and they all have come back with nothing but the best to say about it.

A wonderful experience. This is a winery that features 3 different wineries from around the state (Lost Oak, McPherson, and Brennan). The service was absolutely top notch with a guy by the name of Martin being extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He made the experience great as much as the wine, will be back!

This place is wonderful!!! They have three different tasting menus that switch out every two weeks. They sell wine from three different wineries. Join their wine club... its BEYOND worth it! You actually get membership benefits at the three wineries they sell wine from. Their wine pickup parties are SO fun! I always ask for Ms. Dotty when I come in because she is a HOOT!! She always gives me a big hug and keeps me laughing the whole time! Shes the kind of person you want to bring to parties or family get togethers because shes so fun and knows how to keep the party going!!

My husband and I visited Four Point Cellarswhile in Fredericksburg for our 11th wedding anniversary. The winery was recommend on behalf of a close friend and Four Point Cellars wine club member. Our expectations were surpassed; incredible service, friendly folks, and a delectable assortment of wine. Our newfound favorite place! Richard was amazing at recommending wines to suit our preferred tastes and James was complimentary and so kind. Blown away by the service and hospitable environment. We will most certainly return to this beautiful winery staffed with the most amazing people! Thank you so much!

I could not have asked for a better place to get married or for a better wedding coordinator! Cristol exceeded my expectations, from the first day I met her when I was shopping around for a venue, to my big day. She was simply the best!I do not live near Fredericksburg and did most of the planning remotely which can be nerve-wracking at times. Any time I emailed Cristol with questions or needed to schedule a time to come down to meet her, she was always accommodating and helpful. She also provided me with a great list of vendors that she has worked with and that was a HUGE help for an out of towner like me.On my rehearsal and wedding day, Cristol kept the show running smoothly! I am beyond grateful for her and the entire staff who helped make my wedding such an incredible day! I have been given countless compliments on what a fun and amazing wedding we had and it is all because of the amazing crew at 4.0 cellars! THANK YOU!As for the venue itself - it was perfect and I am sure it will even be more amazing when the new event center is built. The landscaping and outdoor bar was excellent. I cannot wait to see my wedding photos.All and all, you cannot go wrong with having a wedding at this charming winery!

By far one of the best wine tours on the shuttle stops. We were attended by Dotty who was very knowledgeable and kind and made our visit extra special! They had great wines and also cheese selections. Definitely a must next time you do a wine tour. Venue is beautiful and there’s outdoor seating if you like. When we got there we had a bit of a wait but the hostess was personable and polite and that helped pass the time. We did not join the wine club as it did not fit our needs at the time but we will certainly be back for future visits.

Great outdoor space. Indoors where the wine tasting is has a bit of a warehouse feel but the wine was good and the service was great. Mike was so nice, probably the nicest person out of the 5 wineries I visited that weekend. Definitely recommend it.

Believe the entire hill country wine circuit is over priced. Did a similar circuit in Europe for 1/3 of the cost. Friendly staff, believe there should be a food pairing added to the sample menu.

The best part of our experience was our server Carol, she was so sweet and accommodating. I did not enjoy the taste of the wines here. Least favorite out of all the wineries we visited. There was limited seating on the outdoor patio and a bunch of the tables were in the sun. The live music was not good.

We went this past Saturday for my best friends 40th birthday and had the best customer service! First of all, I emailed asking about doing something special for the birthday and had a quick response from the tasting room manager that was so sweet. Then everyone was so nice and welcoming when we walked in. To top the fantastic experience off, we got Mike when it was time for our tasting and he was Above and Beyond knowledgeable, funny and just kind! Highly suggest a visit here!

The three wineries represented here are amazing! I did the red wine sampling and I was blown away with the variety of flavors as well as the person pouring out tastings. I know very little about wine and Dotty (who even if it is PACKED inside, wait for her) explained everything and showed us her favorite wines and shared a lot of quirky wine trivia that I will use when I am in HEB selecting wine or just sharing with friends. Highly recommend this stop in your exploration of Texas wines.

I just visited this winery. We were apart of a bachelorette party. Ambiance was great and that is why it was given 2 stars. Matt was our server, he was nice but very pushy. He made us feel very rushed. He stood there wine in hand asking us if we were done yet even though we still had a couple of sips left in our glasses. The moment we finished our last sip he was taking our glasses and wiping off the counter in front of us and started setting out new glasses. I’m not sure what his rush was, there was no one else in line. Not impressed. Very limited tasting choices as well. Had 3 different type of wine choices for either red wine, sweet wine, or mixed. Only able to have 6 glasses off of one of the 3 sheets. I will not be returning to this place.

Absolute dreadful service. Very robotic. No personality there. The worker I had warded me off forever. I will not return. I was there on my anniversary to try a few local wineries. Unfortunately it was my first stop and that set the tone. Thankfully, they set a low bar that was easily surpassed by every other winery in the area. Thanks but no.

The actually tasting room experience was great. We got a glass of wine and a local cheese and sat outside and had a great afternoon. We decided to purchase a couple bottles of the wine we drank and enjoyed to have at home. The wine was sold for $28 a bottle (Les Copains from McPherson). Low and behold, we stopped by our local Total Wine and more and saw the same exact bottle for $10.99. Needless to say, we were not happy that we just paid 2.5x the price for the same wine at the brand’s own tasting room. Overall a great experience at the tasting room, but I would not recommend purchasing bottles of wine from there since you can likely find it for a fraction of the price!

Down to earth friendly winery. Great music in the courtyard. Pet friendly. Food truck for those hungry. Enjoyed talking with Brooke and Toscha.

Wife and I had great experience here. Normally not a wine club member, but since the membership can be used at their other locations the wife and I go to, joined up. Matt was our tasting guide and was very knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Some of the other wineries in the area like Becker Vineyards could learn a thing or two about customer service from the 4.0 staff.

Chuck was terrible. We came to Four Point from Innwood. Inwood wines were amazing and the service was impeccable. Chuck was our tasting server and he gave us no information on what we were drinking and was just trying to pour our wine to get us out the door. The wines were also not good. Do not recommend.

This was by far the best wine tour spot we went to out the 3 place tour. Lisa Farrow was attentive and provided us with a private introduction to the various wines, cheese, and dips provided at 4.0 Cellars. If you get a moment to go to 4.0 Cellars definitely stop by if youre wine touring and ask for service by Lisa Farrow!

I scheduled a cheese and wine tasting with 4.0 to celebrate my mothers birthday. Ron paired 5 amazing wines with 5 awesome cheeses for a delightful treat. Ron really knew his stuff. I will definitely be back.

After a lovely visit to Fredericksburg and surrounding areas, this was the low point. It was so commercial. This particular area is full of tour buses. We grabbed a lobster roll on our way in from Cousins which is very good. We sat outside for a bit and surveyed the surroundings. Eh. We went in to do a tasting. You are assigned a person to do the tasting by someone like a hostess. They are 6 wine wine tastings. It was very impersonal. After number 3, you get a sales pitch. It just literally made me mad. It was horrible. So rehearsed. Its not like other wineries dont have a wine club, but it was delivered like a time share pitch. Additionally a couple of women somehow got past the hostess and parked themselves next to us and interrupted our tasting and the guy just started helping them. Made a bad situation worse. Those women are certainly not the wineries fault but the attitude of everyone there is just an I dont care kind of feeling. I would not recommend at all. I certainly wont go back.

Staff completely ignored us. Did ask if we needed help. The woman behind the counter kept staring at us but never acknowledged us. Why the Rude service?? I thought you were there to try to sell us on this place ot being your job!! Was not impressed. Was hoping to sample the wines but i guess not. Will not be going back. Wouldnt reccomend.

The Texas wine and cheese pairing was fantastic. It was an educational experience on both wine and cheese, and the opportunity to sample wines from 3 winemakers in one sitting was awesome. In an area saturated by wineries, this experience set apart due to the educational component and the pairings. Incidentally, they do wine and chocolate pairings as well! When we arrived, there was live music and the place was hopping, obviously a popular stop.

Beautiful grounds, but my husband and I were looking to visit for a tasting. We were there for 10 minutes and never acknowledged by any member of the staff.

Puppies?! They have puppies today for an adoption event. Live music, free sausage and veggie dogs. Gorgeous weather. Wish the red wine list had more winners but the lady who served us was knowledgeable and friendly. Would come back and make an afternoon of this.

Was closed for a private event when we visited. The parking lot attendant did give us coupons for two for 1 wine tasting.That was nice of them. He also told us to check the website before visiting to see if they were open. Very pleasant experience but cannot comment on the quality of the wine.

We had Chuck serve us and what a lively good time he was and knowledgeable about their wines and the history behind it all. Well ask for Chuck next year for another fantastic experience! As for food, Caroline knows it all.

Excellent wine list for tasting. This place was extremely busy on a Saturday afternoon (just a heads up), prices were comparable to all the other cellars/vineyards in the area. Im excited to try the bottle of port I purchased, only wish they had ports available for tasting.

Come on 4.0 Cellars! We drove all the way out from Fredericksburg to purchase over $30.00 worth of cheese. No one there seemed to know how to sample or cut the cheese for sale. You have a whole counter there of nothing but cheese. Cant you figure out how to get someone on your staff trained to cut and sell the lovely cheeses that you have there? Why even have it if you dont have someone on staff on a busy Friday afternoon to help sample it and sell it? I have bought over $30.00 worth of cheese there 2 other times and I wanted to do it again because I make a lovely quiche with the cheese you sell there. I was very disappointed about your staffs reaction to my wanting to sample and buy some of the cheeses that were not out as samples. No one wanted to help me. The wines are ok, but your cheese is great and the only thing that makes you different that many, many of the other wineries. Get it together!

I have never been a victim of blatant racism until I went to 4.0 cellars. I walked up with my girlfriends and ordered a glass of wine with no problem and then my Hispanic husband walked up and the bartenders demeanor completely changed.She went from friendly and ready to serve me to cold and ignored me. I stood there confused and my husband finally came up to me and told me they wouldnt serve me and I needed to leave. I was so confused because we didnt do anything different than our friends but they not only wouldnt serve us but wanted us to leave. It was like being transported back to the 60s. I asked what we did wrong and the bartender wouldnt say she just said we had to leave. I asked if our friends had to leave and she said no just my husband and I. We did nothing and certainly nothing different than hanging out with our friends.

The friendly staff and stunning grounds make this a wonderful place to relax. They represent several Texas wineries, so the tasting menu is constantly changing. When I visited there were three different tasting menus to choose from.

Went during their Mardi Gras event. Wine selection at the tasting was basic, staff was nice, band played one song between breaks, and the food had run out by 2:30 when the event went till 5! We tried another winery down the road, and had more fun. A little disappointed.
