This is stop one on an auto tour of Monocacy National Battlefield. On its own, its worth a visit for the rich history but unless you manage your expectations, you may be disappointed. Its a beautiful standalone farm with informative signs. The drive in is gorgeous and being surrounded by cornfields is stunning.
The farm is historic and quite a beautiful spot but there arent any trails to walk due to signs indicating closed due to emergency situation all around the perimeter of the property.
Its not known nearly well enough. Two momentus events in American history in such a tiny space.
This is a beautiful area to walk and learn about the civil war that occurred here. A new site for the national park.
Great place to get a feel for the battle of Monocacy. Just up the road is the museum and the battlefield is described in detail. The entrance to the museum is free.
Beautiful historic home and farm
Great place to hike.
