Closes way too early. I like to go the movies and get bubble tea after. What’s the need to close at 6 o’clock. It takes away their business. Please reconsider the closing time. I really love it here. I can’t give it good reviews if I can’t dine here!

Great place for specialty teas, finger sandwiches, and desserts. We went to a Harry Potter High Tea which included getting sorted, butter beer, specialty teas, finger sandwiches and desserts. I liked the Golden Snitches cake pops. The Harry Potter High Teas are running through March 2020 so book before theyre gone.

We are a family who enjoys afternoon tea. We have done tea at all the usual spots in around Boston and this one definitely is the most unique and fun. I should caveat that this tea is very much kid focused and my kids are aged 5-10. The magical color changing drink was a big hit with the kids and they loved their finger sandwiches and treats that came with their kid tea package (most places we go they are forced to have the adult faire). The staff also are very engaging and keep the theme going. All in all we had a great time.If you aren’t used to afternoon tea you may get sticker shock but the price is actually very reasonable compared to most places ($50/person is typical and this was more like $30). Also it comes with a lot of food (just put into lots of small portions) so come hungry. The one area of improvement I suggest for the owners is to ensure that the water for the tea is boiling hot. For a hard core tea drinker the water was on the cooler side. And after asking this seemed to be the best they could do.

This is, honestly, one of the nicest themed restaurants I’ve been to. I’m a bit picky and was not sure what to expect, and Alice in the Village blew any expectations I had out of the water. My son and I came today for a Harry Potter high tea. It was better than Universal. I understand Universal has a high volume and turn over so this isn’t a slight on them. The butterbeer was fantastic, the food was wonderful, the desserts so lovely! I think I was most impressed that a little girl coughed (She was fine! Just a small cough.) and a server immediately asked if she were okay...that level of concern is endearing to see! Will come to this place regularly, every time they have a new pop up. I’m so impressed. Highly recommend and worth every penny.

We’ve visited Alice twice, and both times it was an amazing experience! The food tasted great and there was a large variety within the high tea offering. The first time we visited was for my birthday and we had the traditional wonderland tea—it was fantastic and they even played very merry unbirthday for us. It was a great experience. The tea was excellent, atmosphere is beautiful and the food is delicious.Today we went again for the Harry Potter event, unlike what others have said, I thought the food offering was on point. Everything was really delicious and the staff did not hesitate to ask if we needed anything, even when I asked for another drink the waitress said “Of course! You can have anything you want!”We had a lovely experience and looking forward to going back for our anniversary in a few months. For the two of us it was A LOT of food, we left stuffed and totally happy. You won’t be disappointed I promise!

So cool! If you are looking for a special outing with your friend, daughter, mother, sister, wife or husband, this is the place. I think most little girls grow up having tea parties. This is a real-life tea party. My husband (what an amazing man!) surprised me and took me here for lunch today. There were more tables with adults than children. The food was very good, the service was fabulous and you can choose from over 100 teas. It was pricey but worth ever cent! I wish my Mom was still around. She would have loved this. My husband and I will be back. P.S. He enjoyed it too.

First time doing an afternoon tea. Didn’t know what to expect except that it comes on a stand with different finger foods :)Well, it was an amazing experience. First the setting is beautiful, the tea room is decorated as Alice in Wonderland and it’s very creative and fun. The servers and staff are very friendly and helpful. My friend and me choose the Wonderland afternoon tea and it comes with a pot of tea that you need to pure into a strainer. It took the food about 20 min to arrive and oh my goodness, what an amazing presentation. The food comes on a 3 tier stand with sandwiches and slices of quiche on the bottom tier, tasty scones on the middle tier and delicious desserts (beautifuly decorated) on the top tier.Everything was fresh and delicious and you can’t finish all the food.Don’t be mistaken by the name afternoon tea, this is a full meal you can have as lunch or dinner so come hungry.I’m planning to come back soon for the holiday tea with my daughter, it was a wonderful experience.

I have been at this establishment a few times and each time, while we lived the atmosphere and decor, we were left with a bit-great taste in our mouths. The first time everything we tried to order in the menu was not available. There was one server working and it took a while for our entire meal. Then we went back to give them another try and this time it seemed like the entire staff was having a rough time. We ended up leaving after just our tea. The last time we tried because a friend wanted to go, there was a manager treating the staff in an unkind manner, and a staff person visibly upset and crying. I understand the idea of how cute it is, but going into a place that’s supposed to be fun and cheery and seeing the treatment and unhappiness of staff is a huge turn off.

While this place was absolutely beautiful and has an amazing menu, our experience here was horrible. We saw a sign for the tea house at the skating rink also in the Gillette shopping center and decided to try it out. We made the walk up and we’re amazed by all of the beautiful decorations and interior. I looked at my group of friends and asked if they wanted to sit down. The very unfriendly woman at the counter gives me the dirtiest look and says super rudely, “no actually you can’t, we’re reservation only and there aren’t any chairs right now.” I was 100% okay with not sitting down to order and drink, however we were new to the business and should have been greeted and informed in a nicer way. I was automatically turned off from this business. While my friends ordered drinks, I felt as though this woman’s horrible customer service and lack of friendliness was enough for me to not give them business. This woman stared us down while we waited for our drinks to be made giving us the nastiest looks. My friends finally got their drinks and she rolls her eyes at us and says extremely sarcastically, “have a great day.” My friends said their drinks were delicious and they thoroughly enjoyed them along with the adorable cups they came in. Find a new face to represent your business, the blonde woman at the front desk definitely should never work in customer service. She made your business look horrible in front of several customers.

First time at this location.Wizard Tea review:The entire family is obsessed with Harry Potter so we decided to go ahead and try their Wizard High Tea.It was amazing!!!!First you are being sorted into your wizard house using magic potions (my kids favorite) , it’s actually really cool as you see the water change color after you say a spell and shake the bottle.Next you get your butterbeer hot cocoa with marshmallow to hold you until the food arrives. In the meantime, they have fun wizard characters that interact with you in a funny and wizardy way.The food was amazing, lots of tasty food, from soup and sandwiches to amazing Harry Potter themed desserts (loves the chocolate wand and pumpkin pasty). The kids also get a magic cauldron that reveal their wizard powers and magical tea potion. Also, if the dark lord try to recruit you, go ahead and join the death eaters - it’s worth it (won’t say anything else).Overall it’s was an amazing magical experience that is worth the money. This event ends March 31 so you should hurry up and book your reservation as they were completely booked!Amazing!!!

Ive been to both locations and was happy to have this one closer to home. Went to Harry Potter event last night. We had one of the last reservations of the night. The place is very cute but not for Harry Potter. It was barely decorated, they didn’t really have much merchandise for sale and the food was not good. Bread was stale, calutrons were on half full. They gave you a drop of jam and cream for 3 big scones. You got a shot of hot cocoa and a shot of butterbeer. The staff were not even in costumes. It was very very disappointing and so NOT worth $50 a person.

Great idea but overpriced. Be careful booking with others. If the entire party doesn’t show up they charge you $30 for each person not present. This is something that should have been relayed when the call was made to let them know the reservation was changing to fewer people. Not in the middle of a full dining room. Nobody should be put in a situation like that. Especially in front of their children! I watched this unfold today and felt terrible for the woman that was there trying to have a nice day with her daughter.

This establishment is a great concept and is well executed. But since a new manager was recently hired - the owner is much less hands-on. And as a result, the employees are treated unfairly - at best - and worst - sometimes do not walk out after a shift with all the tips they earned - only to be told it’s their own fault for working and/or doing what they are told to by the new manager - instead of cashing out their tips within a certain time frame. A policy that is not explained to the employees until after they get screwed on one shift’s tips. Their servers and counter employees are happy, loyal, and very hard working. Only to be retaliated against if they stand up for themselves. One walked out without $30 tips she EARNED that night. She stood up for herself. They gave her $20 of the $30 that she earned - and treated her like they were doing her a favor. Then cut her next weeks hours down to one shift. And the week after - was given zero shifts. Same scenario just happened to another loyal hardworking server. She stood up for herself in some small disagreement- and was given zero hours for the next week. So she put in her two weeks notice, as she needs to be able to depend on a regular paycheck. She went in to work out her 2 week notice, and was instead fired on the spot. Seems legit. NOTI think the owner needs to wake up and pay attention to the fox that she let into her henhouse. That new manager is not treating your loyal hardworking employees fairly. And as a result - you have frequent turnaround. Oh, but the manager’s son has a new job there now - doesn’t he? You continue to treat your employees this way, it will corrode your business from the inside out.UPDATE: first server who was denied the $30 in tips she earned that night, because she was told to go help the dishwasher - and in turn was not able to cash out her tips in the allotted time frame - (policy not explained to employees as they are hired) was not given the $20 they agreed to give her as a “favor” - because she was not given any hours for the next week and then was fired. So she did not even get the $20 of the $30 tip she earned.

I dont know why the reviews are so negative - or why the low stars.I saw the Harry Potter pop-up on the news and knew, this is where Im taking my wife for her birthday. Until this point, I had not heard of this place. Made a reservation for 4, wife, her 2 best friends and myself. First, the decor is so cute. It was quiet, the staff was incredibly pleasant and polite. The food was yummy - the Harry Potter treats were delicious! One of us ended up getting sick after, but since the other 3 are fine - were not 100% sure if it was the egg salad (only 1 of us ate it) but the rest were fine. Not going to blame Alice in the Village. The Butterbeer was interesting, but since all of us are spoiled and have had butterbeer from universal, we were a bit judgemental. for someone who has never had butterbeer before - you might enjoy it! :)All in all - very cute. I would dine here again! Worth the 49/pp for this pop-up!Very cute - plenty of parking - yummy treats!

Everything was fresh and tasted amazing.I cant say enough about how amazing this place is.Customer service was amazing - they had some issues in the beginning with ansewring the phone but they explained that they have a full time person now whos dedicated to customer service. The whole experience was so worth it - you absolutely get a lot for your money!

Had such a disappointing experience trying to book an event at Alice in the Village in Foxboro, MA. At first, we could not have been more excited to hold an even at the Foxboro location. The place seemed absolutely perfect for our event with adorable decorations and perfect food and drink options. We sent multiple emails, visited the location personally, provided my personal phone number for contact, yet we were left with no answers on how to plan or book the event. Throughout the experience, both the owner and event coordinator wouldnt provide any actual answers to questions and kept pushing off providing answers for 3+ months (we still dont have any answers). At first it seemed to be an issue because they had recently opened and just needed time to organize themselves to prepare events/parties. This would have been understandable, however as time went on and others from the party even tried to contact the owner, we quickly realized that their lack of professionalism was beyond growing pains.Their lack of responses ultimately resulted in us having to book the event at a totally different location. I honestly dont know what I would have had to do to give these people my money. They just acted like they didnt even need it. I cant imagine how this place is making money with such poor customer service.Im writing this review not to bash the business (thats really not my goal here), but instead to warn potential good paying customers to save your time trying to book parties or events at Alice in the Villiage. If you do attempt to book an event here, you will be met with nothing but disappointments and loss of time to find a back up plan location.
