Beautiful and serene. Went there on a recommendation and I must say some spots are so calming that I spent almost an hour. Various options for people looking for trails. Limited parking available. I noticed barbeque grills and benches too. Good place for bicycle riders. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place, easy to navigate, awesome trails. The red blazed trail and the green blazed trail are both awesome for an easy to intermediate hike! My girlfriend and I are both new to hiking, and found these were challenging but felt safe during them, apart from a few run-ins with snakes. Definitely recommend!

Great place to spend some time, easy trails from wider paths to more wooded and rougher Rocky paths but nothing major. Decent rock formations to climb and kids explore. Very clean and peaceful. Went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Ill be back to explore more trails.

A good number of trails. Main trails are good and doable as an evening walk. Be careful about selecting the pink trail as it is long and doesnt make a full circle back to headquarters. It just takes you deeper into woods.

Good trails for a small forest. The trails are reasonably well maintained, and there are lots of interconnecting paths. I dont love that some paths require a little walking along/across roads, though.Youll find ladyslippers abundant in the early summer, and wintergreen on the pine hills trail.A nice quick walking spot, but no serious hikes to be found here.

Great place for hiking. A good variety of trail lengths and difficulty. It is secluded enough that you really feel like you’re in nature, and you don’t encounter a fellow hiker every few minutes, but not too long a drive from nearby towns either. The terrain can be rough, so be careful where you step, though that’s common sense for all hiking. Bring and wear plenty of bug spray.

Review №51

I just started an interest in getting out in nature (at 41 years old lol) and this was the first place I went to, being nearby where I live. There are probably much better places, but for my first time, this was perfect, other than a lack of parking. I went in Mid-October and around midday, so it wasnt cold or too buggy. I walked around their trails for about 45 minutes and worked up a nice sweat while admiring the autumn scenery.

Pretty good overallAs of today though some trails are overgrown, due for a trim otherwise you will get ticks on you as you brush by long grass and bushes.Mosquitoes can be bad as some areas are marshy. Many people have their dogs off leash, most of the dogs are the smiley happy kind that just want to say hi, but some people dont like that either. The dirt bike path is very rocky, some kid had to be airlifted out because of injuries last week. very easy to wedge a wheel and take a tumble down an incline onto rocks. The yellow marked bike bike path looks really hard for mountain bikes, but I see a couple people on it.The trails can go from easy to tough along the same route, so be prepared or just be ready to turn around if you have wrong shoes or whatever. Some trails are very rocky, like make your feet numb rocky if you dont have thick midsoles.maps are available as of now at the main station, kind of handy if you go far, otherwise you can get a little lost, only some trails are marked. The maps are just wrong too, so stick to the main paths unless you are prepared to get lost for a bit.The Bathroom is always locked!!!!! That is just wrong to have bathrooms for people and have them be locked. As a guy this is not a problem for me, I just need a big rock to hide behind, but for others this could be a big issue if you were planning on using it.

Very nice hiking spot. We have 2 young children and a small dog and they loved it. It is very clean and has a nice picnic area at the entrance. Be warned as there is hunting you want to make sure you are safe. A bright or reflective vest for animals and pay attention to any hunting signs. We heard quite a bit of shooting and even saw a couple of hunters. Safety first. That aside the hiking was very pleasant. The trails were very well marked and the terrain is great for light hiking. Like it a lot.

Review №77

Woodsy. Pretty. Trails are poorly marked relative to the map. We were lost even though we could place ourselves on the map. Usual gnats and skeeters. If you get to the lake its very pretty. Trails with moderate irregularities (roots, rocks). Lots of trails. You could walk for dao here.

Hidden gem that many who live in the area dont even know exist. Awesome mountain biking trails, hiking and even some light dirt biking trails. Lots of sloping hills with ponds and streams intersecting. Perfect place to get lost for the afternoon or go with a plan, and be out of there in an hour or two. Will take you years to really explore the whole thing. What are you waiting for? Go check it out...

Nice side, well-marked trails. However, there are a few trails that do not line up exactly with the map. Nothing steep or hard to hike. Beautiful in the winter; most trails are well worn and easy to follow. One downfall is proximity to the highway - I could hear cars most of my walk.

Great place to mountain bike. Lots of single track, and for less experienced riders plenty of fire roads and double track. Nice place for hiking as well, as there are well marked trails to do that. For bikers, theres a bit of everything here. Im a cross-country type of rider, who likes small jumps here and there, and this is one of my favorite places to ride.
