We really liked it here. We’ve been to rodeos before but in much larger arenas. This place was great as we were close to the action. During the barrel racing, a little dirt was actually kicked up on us in the stands! It’s also nice to see the animals so close up. It is patriotic (started with a prayer & the National Anthem) which we liked. Perfect for a 1st rodeo or if you’ve been to rodeos in larger places. Don’t miss! (splurge on the box seats if you can)

We had a great time. I was surprised that it was open because of the pandemic. They did a great job to remind us of the rules. Everyone stayed 6 ft apart in seating. It was great to be able to be in a Little normalcy. All the people in the stands were friendly and understood the rules. The staff were very nice and helpful. They took our temperatures at the front door and that man was very funny and very inviting. Again it was a great time.

Pretty cool rodeo. The only negative is that it finished early and we didnt feel like we got our moneys worth. there wasnt even a formal ending like other shows -felt weird. Otherwise Id give it another star. Enjoyed the historic stockyards town though.

We had a good time. We wandered around the stockyards a bit before the rodeo. Theres a lot to see around the area. My kid who doesnt sit through ANYTHING really enjoyed it and made it to the end (about an hour and a half for us) For first timers, it was pretty confusing. We had a hard time finding our way. We definitely know more for next time! The station is full of stalls for shopping and cheaper eats, but its almost tucked away. We ate at a pricey steak house before we found out that we didnt have to. If you park in $5 event parking by Coopers pit BarBeQue (we probably should have just eaten there) just keep walking! Youll find everything eventually.

Went with friends as a birthday event and enjoyed it immensely. Gained a new respect for the animals, cowboys and cowgirls that do this every day for a living.Although it was for entertainment, there is a risk for each one that participate as was evident in this performance. One of the cowboys was injured during roping competition and had to be taken to the hospital.

I was attending a conference in nearby Wylie, TX earlier this month with my husband and we were looking some fun ways to fill some of our down time. The Stockyard Rodeo was a GREAT way to do that! We had so much fun! You should know that it is indoors, so weather isnt an issue. If youre in the area, I highly recommend this for a couple or for an entire family.

Rodeos in this venue are more fun because everyone is close to the action. One word of warning to newbies visiting an inside rodeo for the first time...the air is definitely earthy and country. If you have a sensitive nose, take a perfumed hankerchief with you or put a bit of Vicks Vapor Rub under your nose.

I have been 2 hundreds of rodeos in my time. The rodeo itself wasnt the best being that there wasnt a ton of contestants, but it was a great time for a newbie I would say. The facilities and the atmosphere are worth the trip within itself. I most definitely plan on going back when Im in the area. The Stockyards themselves or a great time and my wife did plenty of shopping. If I had to offer a suggestion, it would be not to get the box seats. Especially if you have children being that they are the same price as adults and are $15 more than General admission. We actually sat on the very top row and the seats were excellent. I usually have VIP passes to rodeos so Im usually right on the ground floor but being that the facility is smaller sitting up top was a good experience.

Great fun! They have shows every Friday and Saturday. Good for the entire family. They have a few snacks and drinks, not terribly expensive. The entrance fee is a little high but you must do it at least once if you live in Texas or visiting. There are several restaurants and bars on the same street of the Rodeo. Its fun and safe at night. Parking is at the very end of the street but the walk back to the Arena isnt bad at all. Wear your boots and your cowboy hat. Youll fit right in!

First of its kind experience for us. The place looks like a small stadium with stadium type seats. They have different shows , playing with a lasso, championship games with various animals, some fun stuff.Animal lovers and vegans should avoid as they will feel that it is animal cruelty. My daughter didnt like it and got agitated.. slthe best time was less than 8 seconds from the time the animal was released, the rodeo puts a lasso on its neck, Jumps down, take the animal to the ground and tie its legs.. amazing feet...Overall, interesting experience.

The only complaint is I purchased a bottle of water for $3.50 and it wasnt even cold. I do want to mention we initially had tickets for the week before and didnt realize the event had been canceled until it was time for the doors to open. The website was not updated indicating the event had been cancelled.

Went to the Friday night rodeo with my wife and had a great time watching some quality rodeo events. On the night we went there was roping, team roping, bull riding and barrel racing, all of which were good quality with the crowd especially getting behind the barrel racers and bull riders. Our seats were great, drinks/food were close by and not too overpriced, and the atmosphere was terrific. Slight disappointment was the lack of bronc riding, my personal favourite, but given the tourist heavy audience the events chosen were understandable. Good event both for first time rodeo-goers and veterans, though the quality is a bit lower than PRCA events - would definitely go again

Animal abuseMe and a friend went to see this show for the first time ever. So excited to see why everybody is talking of this american rodeo thing. And what an enthusiasm for this sport.BUT what a disappointing show! The sound system was so bad that you could barely understand the announcer. Most of the show was spend on commercial and sponsor breaks. A lot of unimportant waiting (bought tickets for a rodeo show, not for listening to beer and local business commercials)The show itself confirmed my concerns for these poor animals. Afraid calves getting chased and tied up, stressed out bulls and horses with a strap tied trying to escape it.What a live for these animals.30 children in the arena chasing a calf to get a sticker placed on its back. What a great way for the kids to learn the respect for animals. This was my first and last time. I will NEVER watch rodeo again!
