Great course with elevated views. Good design and really enjoyed it. The down side is chipping area is small and they just gave up the bunkers and let the weed grow this year.

Played the course today for the first time. The course was in great shape, very challenging but fair. Courteous, friendly staff, worth every penny and can’t wait to play Fossil Creek again.

Amazing round today, course in excellent shape. Looks like greens were punched in August (typical for this area) but didn’t affect my putting lines at all. The course really makes you hit golf shots, not just bombs off the tee, challenging layout.

Attended a outdoors wedding & inside reception there recently. It was very nicely done. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everytime Ive played this course its been in perfect shape. It can be a challenging course depending on the tees. All aspects of the course where in good shape. We had a hot deal tee time from golf now at 250. We ran into a backlog around hole 7. Alot of twosomes( including us). I wouldnt have minded pairing up but the course didnt make anyone switch resulting in slow play. That would be my recommendation. We actually ended up pairing with two others and they were a pleasure to play with. By hole 18 we were on the green with about 7 carts waiting on us to finish due to it getting dark. I enjoyed the course and would recommend to play. Just pair people up and have a starter. The proshop said there would be one when we started, but there wasnt.

Great course, staff doesnt want to be there though. We got there at 5:35 and they wouldnt sell us a bucket of balls :/

Wish I could give 0 stars.I have never experienced the lack of professionalism from a golf course. I was having issues the night before playing with reserving my tee time online, so I called the course and scheduled for 7:00 A.M. the following morning.My brother was in town from Out of state, so we showed up 30 minutes early to make sure there wouldnt be any issues getting on the course OR SO WE THOUGHT.When we arrived & tried checking in; the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude and could not find our reservation. He hinted that we could not keep pace with the groups that were scheduled to play. (My brother and I are both single-digit handicaps.)We walked out the doors disappointed and I will not ever bring any business to this course.SAVE YOUR TIME AND GO TO IRON HORSE GOLF CLUB WHICH IS CONVENIENTLY A COUPLE MILES EAST.They got my brother and I on the course without a tee time with NO ISSUE.Would rather go play the construction site that used to be Willow Springs than this place.

This is such a fun golf course. This is my regular course and for good reason. The golf course at Fossil Creek is not the absolute narrowest, wildly placed bunker ridden, or water Hazzard riddled golf course, but that doesnt make this course any less difficult. This is a course with great greens, (somedays fast as lighting, others slower than honey dripping), that always provide a true golfers challenging delight.The golf course at Fossil Creek is a beautiful course that provides beautiful green fairways, lush roughs, and tough as nails to read the greens. This is a fun course to play from the pro tee box or the whites; mixing things up can actually be just as interesting.The staff is always very kind and helpful and they always go out of their way to help one have a great time, get on the course in short notice, and just overly helpful.This is a great course.

Played for the first time last week, moving into the area very soon. Excited to have this as my home course! Layout is unique and very challenging! Course is very well maintained, and staff was very kind and helpful.

Great Course for the Visitor.If your staying by the Alliance Airport area its worth the play.Decent prices, greens were running about 11. Fairways are cut perfect but if you get off into the rough, its definitely ROUGH.Not too much out of bounds but plenty of Water and Hazards.I played the Tournament and I am a 13 and it gave me a great challenge. No I did not shoot my Handicap.Pro shop is fairly stocked well and the food cart takes credit cards.The practice area for chipping was very small, about a 20x20 area. Putting green was small too, it was about 40x20. The range was very large, about 25 slots and hitting off the grass. Be aware they do have mats which I think they use as required. The bar is really a nice layout with a nice area for a party of about 20 people.They do enforce the no cooler rule and require 2 people per cart. So unless someone is walking in your group, you will be buddied up.Overall I hope to play it again and definitely improve my score.

Outstanding golf course greens and fairways are in excellent condition and prices are reasenble for this Arnold Palmer designed golf course

Went there on a Tuesday afternoon and there were no carts available until 30 minutes after reserved tee time. It took us 2 hours to play 6 holes due to poor scheduling and refusal to enforce slow play. Asked the marshal for a partial refund after 9 holes and said management would not refund our money. Lots of other golf courses in the area where I dont have to deal with that. Sayonara Fossil Creek Golf Club!

Nice place to play a round of golf. Very hard course. There were two things that I did not like...first thing we only seen the beverage woman once during the entire 18 holes and the second thing is the people that were playing behind us hit into our group 4 times. I guess they were trying to speed us up but you can only play as fast as the group in front of you.

Public course, well maintained, greens were very fast 2 days ago. Course is challenging but not overwhelming, great for fun but competitive golf with friends. Staff works hard to ensure you will be a repeat customer. Facility has driving range, putting green and chipping green, a wedding venue, meeting rooms, proshop and grill for bragging or whining over pub food and drinks. What more could you want?

We held our rehearsal dinner here and the Fossil Creek team did a fabulous job! The food was outstanding, the logistics were smooth, and the staff was very organized. If you are looking for a special event venue with catering, I highly recommend Julie W and her event team here at Fossil Creek.

Nice course with reasonable rates. But expect a 4:30 round. They still allow 5somes which blows my mind. The pace of play here is slower than most courses in the area. That is saying something because all of DFW has pretty slow pace of play.

Lovely area and great staff. We rented the clubhouse for a wedding and the coordinators were so helpful every step of the way. The staff members who actually worked the wedding were professional and very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place for events and my husband and I intend to come back to actually golf.

Every year I participate in the Adult and Teen Challenge golf tournament....and it just keeps getting better and better! The course, the staff, the food....what an incredible event! Thank you Teen Challenge Azle campus....you all bless me!

Went to my cousins wedding here, lovely ceremony. Staff was amazing, very polite, and helpful. The outside and inside is beautiful and great for any kind of party. Scenic and again amazing staff.

Great course that is very well cared for. Novice golfers need to know that it can be a bit of a ball eater with its many water features.

The Club House at the Fossil Creek Golf Club is very nice. It served as a beautiful spot for a small wedding. The course immediately behind the club were beautiful as well and added to the greatness of all the photos. Love this place!

Ive been playing Fossil Creek for 30+ years and always enjoy the course. Great dining room and great cart service here. Weekends are busy and I like to play fast, so weekdays are best. Im a middle tee golfer and its plenty tough in my mind. Good mix of shot making required and ball position in the fairway for sure. No problem, right? Better practice range and green here than many have. Good value course.

Have only used the range and practice putting greens. Cant wait to try the course.

Nice course though GPS on the carts are always helpful. Driving range is okay could use more yardage signage and the practice sand bunker needs some attention for sure. Overall course is in decent condition. Could maybe see the beer cart a little more than once a round. But maybe that’s why they have the little shack setup out there idk. This is my local course and one that do enjoy all the amenities offered as an arcis member.

This is our 2nd year having our annual Christmas party at Fossil Creek. We can’t thank Julie Williamson and her phenomenal staff enough, for all their hard work! They ALWAYS go above and beyond. Great customer service from Kayla and servers to Zack in the pro shop! Thank you for another fantastic party.

Zack Torres is a complete jerk. I came to the course before my tee time on a very cold day. They would not let me go off early even though it was one of those days where absolutely no one was on the course. I stood in their pro shop literally waiting to tee off. There was absolutely no one that played off number one the whole time I was waiting. I cannot say enough about how rude and unprofessional Zack and the entire staff are. Attitude always stems down from management so even though I didn’t meet Nic Edwards this day I guarantee he is not doing anything about the moral and empathy of his employees. They are all stuck up and horrible individuals. Why would you make someone stand there and wait if the tee box is wide open and was wide open for an hour. I will never come back to this facility again.

I love this place for any event. Good customer service and excellent staff. They really take good care of you. I recommend this venue to anyone.

Held my daughters wedding at The Golf Club Fossil Creek last week and it was amazing. Not the first event we have held at this venue. The food is always amazing, all the guests mentioned how good it was. Julie is the most helpful and patient person, we couldnt have done it without her! I highly recommend for your wedding or other event.

We always love playing this course. It is always in better shape than any other muni, and feels like country club quality. The bunkers are actual sand and not muddy, and the greens are in great shape, even in August.

Id leave a 1 star review everyday if I could. Inconsistent communication about open hours for the range. Depending on who you talk to youll get a completely different answer. 90% of the time Im here they only allow you to hit off the mats.I was just turned away bc they were doing maintenance. I was told this is done every Wednesday at 3:30 even though Ive been plenty of Wednesday afternoons with no issues. Its a 30 min drive for me to get here..They are supposed to hold frequent seminars for members although Ive only seen one such event on the calendar since I joined in July. For the one event that was scheduled no one was here when myself and others had arrived.Do yourself a favor an go anywhere else but here.

Have enjoyed Fossil Creek since it opened. Still in very good shape and offers a challenge to all skill levels. A lot of interesting holes and a great deal of fun. Well worth the trip.

Beautiful course. Greens are in great shape. Several holes are very challenging and will definitely test your shot creativity. Can get quite crowded so we try and tee off early and beat the crowds. Usually only a few groups of regulars play before 7am tee times and they play super fast.

I had my wedding here last night (outside ceremony) and was told my wedding was a private event and the golf course was closed off. I made sure to ask Julie twice about this because I didnt want to have golfers in my wedding photos or have them speeding around during the ceremony. Right before I was suppose to walk down the aisle I saw the golf carts and immediately confronted the guy who has been helping out during the wedding. He flat out told me he couldnt do anything about it. If i would have known the golf carts were going to be driving around during my wedding and showing up in my pictures i would have chose a different venue. If youre having an inside wedding this wouldnt be a problem. Other than that it was beautiful and the food was great!

Great country club and staff.

We came here for a small wedding, and even though the weather did NOT want to cooperate, it was absolutely beautiful. The grass was thick and green, the trees swished high overhead, and the setting was just lovely.Now, it was very hard to hear any of the vows. This was a wedding of less than a hundred people, but the ambient swishy wind noise overpowered the talking. Also, there was a long, very steep walk out to the lawn from the building, which was challenging for some of the more elderly folks. It was mostly paved, but too steep for most wheelchairs to handle. The room inside was OK, with a small dance floor, and a separate room for a BBQ buffet.

Great golf course played in the 11th Annual Ambassadors golf Tournament.

Course is in OK shape...a lot of target golf and typical Arnold palmer greens. Starter is usually 20-30 minutes behind, even at 7am. Worth playing if someone else is paying and you have 5.5 hours, but not worth the moderate greens fees compared to other courses in the area.

If I could give the staff a ZERO I would. Their attitude is that you are lucky they let you play there and not that you are a customer to be honored. With all of the courses in the DFW area why play at a course where the employees dont care about the customer? The fact that we paid $34 for a prime tee time tells me others feel the same way.The course is good and well maintained and the grounds crew is obviously professional and cares about their job.

The course is in great shape & the staff very friendly

This is a very nice course, always in very good shape. Challenging and fun. Staff is friendly and food is pretty good, too. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the pace of play. If you want to hope for a 4-4.5 hour round you need to tee off as early as possible. Despite all the talk about ready golf the course doesnt do much about enforcing it. They allow groups of 5 or 6 to go out. Members regularly just jump out on the course from their homes slowing down play. It takes more than talk and some videos on the GPS screen to maintain good pace! I still recommend the course, just be aware that a slow round is a definite possibility.

A good memorable layout in good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful too. I would recommend this course to others. It was pretty slow on a late Friday morning round. The carts are new with nice screens, but irritating with constant interruptions of the round with ads and gps controlled speed and locations allowed which actually shut the cart down and made me back up even though I was in the middle of a wide open field. Overall, I really like this course, though. It was well worth the price.

Fossil Creek is typically a good time but yesterday it took 6 hours to play 17 holes. We got up to 18 and their was 8 people on the tee box. As of late they have not been good about spacing tee times and the Marshal to speed up play is non existent. Guys at the pro shop are top notch though.

Nice course, that is well kept. Greens are in pretty good shape. Its pretty slow though. Always waiting around and when waiting you look for cart service...But they are nowhere to be found.

The course was amazing, but be prepared for a 5 hour round minimum on the weekends. Beautiful course though. It was in excellent shape and really makes you work on course management. Also, when you click on the above website link, it takes you to a gym membership site? Might wanna fix that

I love the golf course, but this review is based on the monthly membership program they have. I went in and personally canceled my membership and they have continued to bill me. I have called up there 3-4 times once speaking with with new general manager who told me he would look into the issue and call me back. Im still waiting on that call as I have left a voice mail message for him and a message through another worker up there and have still not heard anything. I will go up there personally today so I hope he is working.

This isnt my first time here and wont be my last. Course is in great shape as usual, probably best around. A lot of courses in the metroplex had issues with their greens due to the winter but not here. Friendly staff and great value. Nothing to complain about. You should check it out!

Great friendly staff, challenging yet fun course layout, and very well kept greens and fairways. Super easy to get setup. Took 3-5 minutes to get from car to tee box.

Incredble corse ... i love it ... always have ... it is in very good condition too, love the greens and challenging fairways, the staff is wonderful as well, i did have a bad experience there last time though - i left my sand wedge on a green and went back for it and nearly got into a physical altercation with a Latino who thought finders keepers, and knew nothing of golf edicate ... that is becoming more of a problem as population demands increase and education on corse edicate, corse management, and corse supervision is not as well maintained as it always had been for decades.

Decent course. In winter they are one of the few around that have green fairways overseeded with rye. Has some fun neat holes and a few that are quite boring without much risk reward. Wish they could clean up some of the trash and waterway areas. Makes a few of the plain holes look really dumpy. Greens are usually really nice and true. You can find decent deals but usually the time restrictions for those mean very slow rounds. Typically in the afternoon the course gets really bogged down to a snails pace.If you play before noon it is quite pricey but a lot less people. For the full rack rate price you can play at a few other places with more value. Clubhouse and bar area is nice at Fossil Creek.

I’ve given Fossil Creek many opportunities to show me a great, friendly staff - if you get there after 4pm you’ll find rude, inconsiderate pro shop help. Several occasions, in fact.I held the door open for a man carrying out a bucket of range balls tonight. I approached the counter amicably and the guy said “last bucket is sold an hour before sunset”. My iPhone showed sunset was 6:37pm, and I was there at 5:39pm - 58 minutes difference. After driving 25min, very disappointed.Whatever happened to taking care of people and customer service? I gladly would’ve purchased a small bucket instead. Awful experience consistent with what my peers have shared as well. Shame.

Any place that gives a bunch of no skill amateurs a bucket of balls and lets them drive into oncoming traffic is AWESOME. Would have given them five stars, but they wont let people hide in the bushes and throw rocks at passing cars. (Why one and not the other?)

From out of town. Stopped in one day to rent(demo) a club to hit some range balls. One employee said yes sure even gave me a price. Showed up the next day and another employee doesnt allow a club rental. So unprofessional to say the least !

This golf course is a hidden treasure. An Arnold Palmer design, its easy on the eyes, easy on the pocketbook. Friendly staff, good pace of play. Lady golfers are appreciated here with 2 for 1 ladies every day, and gentle distances for women. GPS on well maintained golf carts makes the experience that much better. The course is immaculately groomed. Theres actually white sand in the sand traps!! Theres always a beverage cart somewhere nearby. Theres a convenient snack bar that you pass twice and they are always grilling something tasty, try the jalapeño sausage sandwich. The location is convenient for anyone who lives on the Fort Worth side of DFW. Im a huge fan of this course.

Very nice course but spent $50+ on a round and it took us over 4 hours to get through 11 holes. We finally just gave up after sitting for 28 minutes on the tee box. We didnt see a marshall until the 10th and the only compensation they offered was a $20 round Monday-Thursday. Terrible experience and will not return

This is the second time in a row that I have had issues with the beverage cart staff. They will close your tab out with tip if they leave work early and you are still on the course. All without telling you. And yesterday, one girl refused cash payment because she would only get a 50 cents tip off a water, peanut and sandwich. She requested a credit card. What balls. All because it was slim pickings for her.

This is one of the nicest and hardest courses in the area. They also have GPS screens in cart. I havent eaten there so just put two on the food.

Nice course but marshals could use some retaining. Its not appropriate to interrupt a hole in progress especially if youre on the green!

Nice course run by awful people. Rude in the pro shop...cart girls pulling up to tee box while players in backswing...5 1/2 hour round without seeing a marshal all day. Called the pro shop and was told it was not their fault and there was nothing they could do. Might explain why there was a full hole and a half open ahead of us. Felt like they stole our money.

Course was gorgeous, challenging and awesome views. However, I am here on vacation. Wanted to play alone, and they wouldnt let me. I can understand its Saturday and youre busy but tell me that on the phone, Id have gone elsewhere. And since I preffered not to ride with someone I did not know (that they forced me to play with) they charged me $20 for riding by myself. The fact I wasnt told this ahead of time is real bs.Last, I asked ahead of time what their rate of play is on a busy Saturday. I was told its 4.5 hrs. I had to leave after the 14th hole, 5 hours 10 mins into the round bc of a previous scheduled engagement. A couple groups ahead of us left too. Based on the rate of play, it would have taken a minimum of 35-40 more mins to finish.If I was just rating the course, it would be a 5 star, but the staff and protocol on the course dont deserve stars. A real disappointment for sure.
