We never saw anyone from the office in 3 nights. Found a site on our own. The neighbors were all great and it was very quiet. Good luck!

First of all, the facilities are disgusting and never cleaned. Holes in ceilings and floors with rotten wood. I would never use these facilities and would much rather use the restroom in bushes then this bath house. Second, old and run down trailers make up 60% of their sites with many of them unoccupied and housing stray cats and other rodents. The stray cats swarm this park because of the ample coverage due to these trailers. Third, the owners , very old in age, discriminate based on age and made judgments on me based off the fact that I’m young. After 4 months of stay we were told the rates are going up for season and that since we are young we must not understand how business works. I was blown away that after months of paying like everyone else that I would be talked down as if my age constitutes for knowledge or funds.Fourth, sites are run down and poorly managed. Several neighbors complained of unkept sewer hookups including myself. We notified management that our Sewers were clogged. Our waste has been pouring into the grass under the RV for over a week and still hasn’t been addressed or a new site offered to us. I went to renew my monthly lease and asked for a new site until this one was fixed and it was not an option. I now have to leave on a moments notice because management lacks compassion and hygiene management for its customers. The only good think about this park would be the location, however there are over 3 near by parks with excellent facilities: Grooves RV park and Gulf Air RV Park for example are less then a mile away, have full facilities and pools, plus well kept sites.

Pretty awful. Id give it zero stars if I could. We made a reservation months in advance for our 40 foot motorhome. No one was in the office when we arrived and there was no Welcome Envelope left for us. A fading, old note on the office door said to See Patty at Site 6 so we went there and rang the mobile home doorbell. No one answered. (Indeed, we never saw anyone from management the three nights we were there.) We found a site on our own. The park is filled with decrepit, dirty mobile homes. The vacant sites are strewn with debris. If we had been able to find another place to stay, we would have left right then and there. The next day we spoke with a friendly fellow motorhome resident who told us this story: the park was hit hard in one of the recent hurricanes. Some of the damaged mobile homes were cleared out and FEMA brought in 18 trailers. One of the FEMA residents was a real trouble maker (noisy, dirty, harrassing other residents). Management evicted him so he came back in the dead of night and poured concrete down some of the sewer connections. Things went downhill from there. The old man owner doesnt want to give up control. His son and daughter are trying to take over and the whole family is feuding to the point where one refuses to be on site if the other is there. The only thing this park has still going for it is a convenient location.

Google, Please flag the four old reviews (2011) as disrespectful.first review--Customer is not truthful . He (Jeff S.), our records show, was returned his $100. deposit by check and cashed. We did not rent to him because of his past. The second review---customer, an old Lady, age unknown, wanted to rent in season using the annual rates. The owner, an old Gentleman, age 83, was not going to let it happen.Third review--- Customer exiting his site in a motor home failed, so we were told, to disconnect his water line. He made a mistake, we forgive him. He thought, I believe, we would charge him. We though who would believe us. Thank you Google for allowing us to clear the air. We are a Adword client and this is doing us a great service.fourth review ---- is sad.We watched a family of three generations self destruct due to drugs before our eyes. We had to act. We acted..

Everything was full and we got a spot here at McGregor. Nice place, quiet. A little steep $$ money wise, as there is no pool, no fire pit no wifi but close to everything else.

Do not listen to a word any of any of these reviews say. Go elsewhere!!! For the amount of money they charge a month you could go somewhere with WiFi, cable, pool and an actual camp ground staff. You will regret paying the crazy rate for just a spot to park even if it is close to everything. Also takes them a long time to cut there grass for some reason.

The best thing about this mobile home park -- it certainly is not an RV resort or even a campground -- is the circular drive that enables you to leave as easily as you entered. We wouldnt stay here, even as a place to stay while looking elsewhere. Ug! And, the sister facility, Calusa Cove, isnt any better -- just a spot in the woods. They even borrowed some of the same pictures to put in their ads.

Our family RV vacation at McGregor RV Park: As a 18 yrs. old girl, thought it would be boring. Well, in spite of having brothers do their thing, I was allowed to go to the near by beach by bicycle which was less that a mile away. Its called Bunche Beach. Its a bit private, which I like. Has a long sandy beach. I waded almost to the Sanibel Causeway. I also biked to the Tangers Outlet where there were great stores to shop. The bike paths also allowed me to go Fort Myers Beach, only three miles away and to the Lee County Library, where I was able to get my required summer reading books. There were great lunch places along the way: Rib City - great ribs,Chinese at K-Mart Plaza, Japanese on San Carlos Blvd., Mexican, La Casa, also at K-Mart, Burgers - Five Guys, Pizza at Lil Cesars and Pizza Hut, Wendys, McDonalds, great ice cream stores and Skip One for the best shrimp dinner I ever had! Met some FGCU students and plan to check out the university there. I really had a good time and the RV Park was near to everything. I took the Lee Transportation Bus uptown one day and went to the Edisons Home. Got enough material to write a few essays come September.

Wow! The McGregor RV Park will soon open primitive campsites on an island in the Caloosahatchee River near the Sanibel Causeway. And while staying at the RV Park, our kids and us will be allowed to use Big Shell Island (which they own) to camp on. Guess what, it is primitive and we will feel like native Calusa Indians. Only a port-a-potty, no running water and no electric and a small fire pit at night. The rates will start at a donation of $ 1.00 to $1,000 suggested. Whatever, it is worth. What an experience for the kids. Only problem no beer allowed and you might have to listen to a lecture on florida history. P.S; no electronics, you can count stars.

A small mom and pop park with lots of friendly people...not much in the way of amenities, but you could not ask for a better location...just down the road from beautiful beaches and Sanibel Island...and the best prices anywhere near here...if youre looking for shuffleboard and a pool, its not here...if you want an inexpensive place to stay while you explore this beautiful area, youve found the right spot!
