Large active retirement community. Pickle ball, tennis and shuffle board courts. Two pools, both heated. Workout room, billard hall and library. This place has lots to do.

Beautiful gated community! Reasonably high security. We definitely take comfort in knowing our grand parents are in Jamaica Bay.Very clean with amazing amenities & tons of activities!

Great Place great staff

Was going to buy there till I mentioned my 8 year old great grand daughter spends Saturday nights with me and we were told she could not stay overnight. He said homes in there were for 2 occupants only and the park would not allow. He lost a sale because my grand daughter comes first.

***snowbirds beware*** beautiful place, great security. With that said, lot fees have increased more than 30% in last 7 years, no longer making this a good value. Additional fees are designed to punish snowbirds and foreigners. For example, water fees run from Sept- March rather then Jan 1 to July 1, designed to punish those living there part time. There is no consultation on park improvements, the cost of which are passed onto the home owners. Cost assistance is available, but only to full time residents, meaning Americans exclusively, despite a third of residents being foreigners, which in turn just adds to everyone elses fees to compensate. Almost as if your punished for not being a local, despite the fact that if all the foreigners left, the park would be vacated of some 1100 plus homes in addition to those already on the market and still unsold. At which point, you would be looking at another 30% added to the fees. New homes are built by the park and often sit for LONG periods uninhabited. The cost of carrying these structures, are again passed onto to the existing home owners, helping to explain again, why the lot fees are spiraling out of control. Managements decisions will directly effect your wallet and as a retiree, this can be a recipe for disaster. There needs to be public consultation on all spending expenditures since its the residents that WILL be paying for it. This concept seems lost on current management. Buyer beware !!!

Trailer park. Mostly retirees and over 50s crowd. Very secure manned security gate visitors are allowed in only after verifying with hosting party. Very clean grounds reasonable lot rent convenient to everything in Fy Meyers.

I was a Snowbird for 24 years in the meantime I bought and sold and bought again and sold again and paid rent. After a couple of operations up north I came back down here bought a house I am now a full-time Jamaica Bay resident. This is the best place on earth this is paradise. If anyone is looking for a neighborhood to settle down and this is the place to come Jamaica Bay you can’t beat it.

Expensive place to live ,but, everything for life enjoyment. Two pools heated. New gym and equipment. Entertainment, dances meals to enjoy.

Management is negligent at enforcing rules they created. Im living next to a home damaged during Irma and its an ugly mess to look at daily. Management is well aware of this and little is being done (or enforced).Jamaica Bay is nearing trailer park status. Its a shame, as there are many fine people that live here. Management is 100% to blame!

Great Shape, good prices for living in retirement age. Pool exercise room,pool tables ,hot tub and shuffle board activities are available for you to enjoyment.

I visited during a special event. They have many events. The staff is friendly and courteous. The residents love to have fun. The public areas are extremely clean and inviting.

Jamaica Bay is the best of its type to live. Neighbors are great. Bay is helpful when needed. Gate guards are excellent.

Best place for retired couples. Tons of amenities.

I was there to close on a house. Been there a few times and its a very well kept community. The staff is very professional.

Went in to look at home sites and tour, receptionist lady, rude, acting like we were bothering her, we asked questions, She offered no booklet etc. Said there was no one around to show us the place, we gave her our cell number, she said we would get a call within the hour, finally got a call back the next afternoon.. by then, we allready found another place nicer in Naples. The lady that called us was nice, the receptionist lady was not a good personable employee for a position like that.

Expensive lot rent but very nice! Events going on at the main pool on numerous occasions. Fun to meet new neighbors and friends!

The HOA will try to ticket Guests/Visitors or tow you if you dont go get a visitor pass from the office that closes at 5pm. Which means after 5pm, you cant get a pass since they DO NOT hand out the passes at the gate or even tell you that you need to go get one when first at the gate. They wont be upfront with you as a guest about any of their rules either. They leave it to the residents to explain things AFTER you been hit with a violation refusing to post any information that does not pertain to poker or bingo.Typical HOA and 55+ community. Be ready for some headaches that they could of prevented.
