Peter Feldman Park is located in downtown Ft. Lauderdale in the Flagler Village area. This area is currently undergoing redevelopment with the creation of F.A.T., Flagler, Arts, and Technology, a shopping, gallery, and art walk area located not too far away. The park is named after Peter Feldman, a developer who put money and attention into this struggling area of Ft. Lauderdale. He passed away from cancer at the age of 54 in 2009. He championed the redevelopment of this area for 20 years and was held in high regard as a city pioneer. The park is a small patch of green among the urban landscape. Although it is not large it is very attractive. There is a playground for kids, art, park benches, picnic tables, a walking path, and water fountain. One my visit I saw a guy eating his lunch on a bench as four yellow butterflies circled his head. Its nice to have a green space so kids can run and play, people can eat a picnic meal or just to have somewhere to walk their dogs and exercise. On the second Friday of the month the Food in Motion event is held here. Its billed as an after dark green market. The event has an artisan food market, fresh produce, food trucks, music, and shopping. The next event will be held on August 10 from 5 until 11 PM.
