This place is simply superb. Located in a neighborhood and yet very close to the main road; calm and serene. Though the name says Rawhide park, it actually is more of a trails. A small, narrow lake runs along the length of the neighborhood and on either side of it green grass and trees bordered by the walking trails. Its not crowded, so it would be an ideal place to have some peace and social distancing ;)

Great and simple park with multiple view points, and areas to enjoy your outside activities and good foundation sidewalk trail with multiple distance roundabouts for walks, running or biking. Includes, fountains for people and pets, free public library, bike repair station, various seating areas & bench swings, playground, nice water creek that you can fish at with crossing stepping stones, large well maintained grass areas that include shaded areas, dog friendly with doggy bags and trash cans, and 2 outdoor exercise areas. Lots of ducks, geese, and migrating birds will fill the area during the right seasoned months. Note: main parking lot can be limited with sharing with Farmers Branch Library. You can also park along whole park or near baseball fields.

Beautiful Park for a nice long walk. Great playground, plenty if benches and a great river that runs through the middle with water features

Great long walking trail with three sequential loops so you have multiple cutbacks and can walk however much you want. Youre always alongside the creek, and if theres been rain in the past week you will hear waterfalls every hundred feet or so. The one thing that really hurts the place is that there are so many incredibly horrible dog owners that leave poop all over the place in the grass. I wouldnt dare walk in the grass here, even though I strongly prefer natural ground to the cement path.

Its a nice park with a nice trail too walk, walk with your dog, walk with your kids, jog or exercise, or just sit out and enjoy the day. Not a huge trail but definitely big enough for a good workout.

Really nice park for walking. Its quiet and calm. Only thing I dont like is people dont pick up their dogs poop on the grass.

Its ok. Seems like they are adding lights throughout, which will be great for late night or early morning runs

Well maintained. I love the map that shows the different routes you can take with the mileage included. I enjoy seeing ducks, turtles, and other animals there. Its a great place to walk. A wonderful place to take your kids because they have a small park and library right there. One of the places to feel at peace.

Exelent Parks all around This

We love Rawhide Park because of the conscience to where we live and it has great walking/running trails and descent playground for kids. The only negative is there is no fence around the playground area and it’s near the creek water and busy road. The walking trails require crossing over main roads but there are crossing lights in place for safety. My main tipis to go when the weather is nice or when the sun is going down. There are shaded areas but the majority of the playground and trail is in the sun!

Born in Farmers branch and been going to this park since I can remember. Im 30 now and I love bringing my kids to this park where I grew up. My favorite place in the world!

Beautiful, peaceful, loving inner-g. He took me here and I fell deeper in love with Texas. The beautiful trees, birds, ducks, water flowing, and the swing bench. Just a real life romantic movie.

Beautiful park for a walk or a run!! Combine this 2.27 mile trail with Oran Park Trail and it’s a nice run! I’m training for a half marathon, so I will definitely be back! I loved running by the library. There were 25 baby ducks!!!! It was the sweetest thing. Sunset or sunrise runs/walks are the best. Love having beautiful parks in Farmers Branch, Texas. Plenty of parking, plenty of water fountains to replenish and rehydrate.

I love running at this park they have swing benches and its so Serene and you can just swing on the bench and look at the ducks swim down the canal it is simply relaxing!!!

Ill always remember Rawhide Park. This is the last park my dog and I walked together. Love you Dallas. I still miss my silly dog.

Great place to fish for pan fish.

This is an awesome trail along this drainage channel. I believe the bird is a Crested Night Heron. I am amazed at the amount of wildlife one might see in an urban community. It is really awesome.

Rawhide Park is a popular park for exercise and/or walking dogs. Wednesday, I enhanced my lunch from a favorite restaurant by turning it into a picnic at Rawhide Park.

This is a wonderful place to walk and work out in the designated areas. I never see many kids on the playground though. Webb chapel church does a 5k every year the Saturday after Valentines day, and its always a fantastic experience! Farmers branch does a great job maintaining their parks

Very cute park. It has some places for kids to play and lots of wild life to observe. The park itself is fairly narrow but makes far a good walking trail. There is plenty of shade and drinking fountains as well. The park also backs up to the library, so you can pop in grab a book and enjoy the weather.Bonus: if you play Pokemon GO there are quite a few pokéstops along the walk path.

I went only once and liked the walking area, it had cameras in parking area making it feel safe for cars.

Its a fairly nice park, that has an ok playground, a good swing set, and has some good trails that stretch about 2 miles. The library is right on the edge of the park, and theres also a pleasant duck pond that stays fairly clean. Its in a low crime area, and feels safe also. Its not the best park, but all of its plus sides make it one of the best in the area.

There are nice parks and little areas designed for working out. You do cross a major intersection if you walk along the trail. There is a little zipline at one of the parks.

An under-appreciated gem of a park. Mutant appearing muscovy ducks roam along the cedar strewn banks of a little drainage stream Rawhide creek. A metal faux steam engine, fort rawhide climbing structure and weird sheet metal tee pees add character to this little park. Our favorite park in Farmers Branch, TX
