Place is for sure different! Very cool thou. A big ol tree with thousands of shoes! I wonder why the first person put a pair of shoes on this tree. Very cool. Good place to stretch & experience something no one has ever seen before!

Too funky! I stopped here a couple of years ago because from a distance I thought the old tree was a roosting place for buzzards! But turns out it is a resting place for Nike, Adidas and even a few pair of boots. There are many more shoes among the branches, and this stop I discovered the windfall graveyard at the bottom of the tree!

I pulled the motorhome over just to take a break and stretch my legs. And there was a shoe tree right in front of us. We seen 3 or 4 of these in our travels. But this one was packed with every shoe you could imagine. They are all kind of cool, and it is amazing how many shoes can be launched into a tree and stay.

An interesting place to see if you are driving Highway 50. I’ve passed it twice now and I would recommend visiting in the cooler months though because when it’s 32C the smell is nigh on unbearable.

Very cool! Thousands of shoes!... its worth the quick stop its not just to see the shoes to get out and stretch your legs on this lonely Highway. Its a cool place to take a couple pictures and if you got an old crappy pair of shoes...get rid of them

I drive past here daily and I suggest if you stop, please pull off of the highway as far as you can. Ive seen too many close calls and I never want to see anyone get hurt while enjoying something so unique in a rural highway.

We discovered The Shoe Tree by missing our turn. I am glad that we missed the turn. The Shoe Tree is a fun social experiment to see. (If my husband wonders what happened to those air conditioned sneakers he keeps wearing, dont tell him to look here.)

I read that the shoe tree was cut down about nine years ago by some Vandals. They have replaced it with a few smaller trees that were growing near by. Evidence of the old shoe tree is still there
