Fun Point to stop and see some petroglyphs. I was in the spot bright daylight. Probably not the best to be able to see the markings. Hiking on the other side wasnt a smooth. The trails do not match up to the trails listed on the map. Nothing too difficult though just wander around and explore the area.

Absolutely amazing. The petroglyphs are fascinating. Such an incredible ancient treasure. We had our 1 year old with us and his stroller was easily able to traverse the petroglyph trail. The views were excellent. You also get a great look at the naval air base and if youre lucky, you might see jets doing practice runs.

There were quite a few different petroglyphs to see! The signs along the paths were very informative. There were many that were not marked so you need to go slowly and keep watching and looking along the paths. The hidden caves is worth going up to as well but tours were only twice a month on Saturday. But there are two smaller caves along the paths that were interesting and a few more petroglyphs up there as well. Very interesting place to visit! Easy walking if you stay on the trails, and bring water bottle.

A nice little hike around in the rocks looking at petroglyphs. The trail, about 0.5 miles is nicely maintained. My wife, who is recovering from broken ankle surgery 2.5 months ago, had no problems with the walk.Make sure to drive over and check out the caves while youre there. Those trails are more difficult, for a broken ankle, but are worth the walk.

Ancient native American rock drawings. This is a wonderful stop on Hwy 50 just east of Fallon. Informational signs in the parking lot explain the history. Restrooms available. A short easy trail leads through a boulder strewn field where many of them have designs and images carved hundreds or thousands of years ago. Sadly people have defaced some of these ancient drawings! What a shame.

De
Review №85

This place was so cool. Took my daughter for a short hike. I couldnt believe that all these petroglyphs were just right off the road and free to visit. In California this would surely be a fee area with park rangers etc. But theres nobody at this place. You can walk wherever you want. And you can watch the fighter jets take off and land at the Fallon Air Station and sometimes they fly right over your head like at an air show. I plan on coming back here and exploring some more in the future. Hopefully this place will remain open and free and unmolested for the near future and beyond.
