The Churchill County Museum is great in the sense that its incredibly informative and much larger than it looks. My fiance and I are getting married in a month and are having our reception there because we loved it so much. Theres a lot more to Fallons history than you might think. One of the best things about the museum is that its free to just go in and take a tour of everything and they have some interactive exhibits there including a really cool Covid-19 exhibit. Definitely recommend a visit.

Awesome museum with a lot of history and it is free! My favorite artifact was the mochila which is a leather pack that goes over the saddle. It was used in 1860 by the Pony Express to carry mail! I also loved the quilt that was made by some of the staff members of the museum. They have an interactive area for children and a cute gift shop too. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

This is a neat little museum with friendly staff. I really enjoyed the cool arrowheads on display and how they were displayed.

A must see if you have some time to spend, even if for just a few minutes. There is no admission fee, but they do have a donation box. This is a family friendly place with a dedicated childrens area. In addition to the informative and well kept displays, there is a giant floor game with huge tokens for up to four members where each player is trying to travel from New York to California along Lincolns Highway. When we visit with our grandchildren, this is on the To Do list.

The staff are friendly and courteous. And theres so much to see fun for the whole family!

In Fallon for a visit or just passing through. Either way treat yourself to a nice meal at one of the local restaurants and as your digest why not stroll about the local museum. I have lived in Fallon for several years and I will promise that this place will not disappoint. Churchill county is part of the high desert of western Nevada. Sure it is lush and green now but it was not always so. Pioneers of bygone years have spent their lives working, living, loving and dying to make it so. That vast expanse of sand and sage that you have just easily sped through in your air conditioned auto to get here took them months to traverse in wagons, on horseback, or walking. Their story is one of hardships and perseverance. Yet it is rich in warmth and sacrifice. Stop in and visit with them for a short while. Learn about your own history from their story. Chances are youre ancestry is somewhere out there in that sage and sand too. The price is only a small gratuity and a little time, but the joy and new found knowledge far exceeds the expense. By the way, Welcome to Fallon enjoy your stay and please stop in again anytime you can.

Museum was close and the person who answered the phone was extremely nice and knowledgeable. Told us to check out Grimes Point.

Very friendly workers and a really nice museum with lot of great history

It is a very small museum detailing the history of a very small place. there are a good variety of exhibits for the size and it is a good to learn about the history of the area. but overall you could probably see everything in the museum in 90 minutes and theres really not much of a reason to come back.but I would recommend it for anybody who is new to the area or visiting and is looking for something to do

Nicely done county museum that does well capturing the local and regional history of colonialism as well as the native American tribes. Definitely worth the visit.

Ive taken my kids there a hand full of times, interesting to learn the history of Fallon. Our last trip the kids lost interest quick

I took my daughter here and we had a really nice time. This museum does a good job of giving the past of this wonderful city. Not the biggest, but definitely one of the most interesting.

The museum presents a lot of area history. It is, unbelievably, free! Totally worth a visit; there is so much to be surprised by and to learn!

Omgosh! This is by far one of the BEST museums Ive ever visited. It is much bigger than it looks. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. It was absolutely amazing. Its free to enter, but they do ask for donations. Gift shop is small, but very well stocked and the prices were not outrageous like so many are.

Visited this wonderful museum, February 2016. There is a building behind the museum that has all types of old vehicles - not just a few but a lot. There are many, many items behind the glass cases but not one case is crowded or jammed.If you ever have the chance and have to drive a little out of the way, take the time to see this museum. Id say a lot of love and care went into making it what it is today.

To anyone reading this from somewhere other then Fallon, its well worth the time to visit our little museum, it has quite a few great exhibits, and for a town of this size its very nice
