Beautiful, advanced, primitive trail that weaves through the side of the ridge. Several offshoots lead to private property, so be careful not to trespass while walking along. Perfect for summertime roaming. The trails are unimproved, stitched together with tree roots and fallen trees. Many parts can be treacherous after the rain, so plan accordingly.Parking is sparse, with enough for 3 vehicles without obstructing traffic.
Beautiful woods, pleasant walk! Kids get tired, but that’s the point! Took a couple hours to do a loop with a large group including infants and children. Either going up or down, not flat. Strollers not impossible but also not recommended because of roots. Thanks to borough parks and rec for including this on the trails challenge, I’ve lived in Fairbanks my whole life but had no idea it was here until doing the trails challenge a few years ago. Have enjoyed it from time to time since, nice to add variety to our walks!
Great wooded trails. Some exposed roots can be hard on the ankles so be careful.
Quiet, beautiful and full of good elevation change.
Beautiful scenery with plenty of birch trees and wildlife to see!! Highy recommended to anyone hiking in Fairbanks!
Lovely ridgetop walking through birch forest. Would love to see these trails expanded. Check FNSB Borough website for trail maps as there is no map at trailhead.
Have to walk pretty far to get a decent view but its a beautiful and quiet place
Nice hiking trail, but it is fairly unmarked... More signage would have been nice.
An easy walk
Trail was pretty rough with garbage stuck in the trees.
Great trails
