Creamers Fields in the perfect place to go for a nice and easy day hike with the family. They have a wide variety of trails that are mostly stroller accessible for those with little ones, and some that are slightly more challenging. The boardwalk trail is amazingly beautiful, but has some areas that are difficult to traverse as the boardwalk is broken in some places and requires you to jump to the next section. Lots of fun though and doable with small kids. If you have not been to this gem of a place yet, you are missing out! Very easy to social distance despite the amount of people who visit. This place is also incredible for bird watching, and has a lot of local history with the old barn and farm house! Go check out Creamers Field today!!

While visiting Fairbanks, our family needed to stretch our legs, the hike along the trails here was very pleasing and diverse. I enjoyed the section near the ponds, with birch trees reflecting in the water. There are viewing stations and blinds to see the migratory and local birds.

This is a fantastic place to connect with nature and see the migratory birds. There are some nice raised platforms that you can climb and have a better view of the birds. Bring your binoculars! We like to go early, when it is less crowded.

The most beautiful place with alternative trails for different length walks; it must be a required destination for bird and other wild fauna and flora watchers. The same goes for those who are just a watchers of natural, quiet beauty. It’s also a good spot to watch the Northern Lights in clear moonless nights. While there, look for Mark Ross and ask him to show you his impressive work. He has dedicated his life to observing and drawing the natural life there. That’s pure love at work.

Beautiful trails are gravel and meander through the forest and out into the firelds. See sandhill cranes, geese, and a variety of other wildlife. Dozens of information signs describe the wildlife and habitat. Restrooms appear to be closed for the covid season. Not too busy on a Sunday afternoon in July. Bring mosquito repellent!

A wonderful place to enjoy nature right in the middle of Fairbanks. There are several groomed trails of different lengths. On the forest trails, bug spray is a must in the summer. The visitors center has a cute local gift shop and if you have an opportunity to participate with and of the guides I highly recommend it. They are very knowledgeable and you will definitely learn about the local ecosystem.

Unfortunately only Outhouse bathrooms near The Visitor Center Center, but for some reason the ones by the viewing deck were locked? The grounds are beautiful, we saw lots of ducks and geese. The Visitor Center building was suffocatingly warm, I took a few pictures inside but couldnt enjoy really looking at everything since I could hardly breathe. It was only about 50° outside. I came from Texas to Alaska to enjoy some cooler weather!

This is a great place with great paths its some place to go for a walk our bike ride that is really convenient and close to town its also connected to a lake that is in the back you have to go down one of the trails near Wedgewood Resort then you will find it. One thing they can do that will be very helpful to the people that enjoy creamers field is cut the grass near the paths more often

This is a huge field for viewing northern lights during winter. It is very convenient and very close to city but its secluded that there is very little light population. We were able to catch beautiful northern lights on our trip to Fairbanks from this field. Please do carry warm clothes as the temperature is pretty low.

This is my number one recommendation as the place to spend a day in Fairbanks. I visited in the summer, but I am certain each season at Creamers Field brings its own magic. I love the history of the place, and the active learning opportunities, and the delightful pathways through the property. This is great for individuals, families, groups, everyone. The most beautiful, natural and so pure place in Fairbanks! All of the events they create are really interesting. Place gives you that primitive feeling of true connection with nature and what surrounds us. Take a mosquito/insects spray before you go! Dead serious for this. Beautiful trails, wildlife is amazing. I walk here almost every day with my wife and our dog. The trails are well-maintained, I never see trash or rubbish to detract from my enjoyment of the gorgeous natural environment. The trails get fairly busy during the day / evening, but everyone I come across is friendly and outdoorsy. While I spend most of my time walking along the wonderful trails through the woods, the bird-watching opportunities in the open fields are astounding and offer unique views of many different bird species. Fascinating to watch.

This place is a gem all year round. Most people just visit the pullout during spring for the migration of the swans and geese but this place offers so much more. The cross country skiing, dog mushing and snow shoeing trails are great in the winter or spring. The spring is even great for snow trail running. The actual building has community events and I’ve gone to them and even built a bird house and all of the materials were complimentary.
