This is hau bush. Beach is beautiful. Visitors just be extra cautious being there are many homeless who live here. But the water, view and where you can drive up to the water line is priceless. Enjoy. Lived here all my life. This is a beach Ive come to since I was 8 years old.

Oneula has come a long ways over the past 2 years. There is still a lot more improvements to be made. Water actives such as surfing, paddle boarding and ect are popular. Investment in the landscape along with some authority to enforce the rules this park come become a premier location on the west side of the island.

The area is GORGEOUS!!!! Its definitely my favorite beach. The beach is open all night, but not very lit at night. Be cautious if youre venturing out late and bring a flash light because there are rocks on the beach that will tear your foot up.Pets are allowed if you clean up after them.

The view once in the water is OK. But this beach shouldnt be on here since its like reviewing someones backyard. Its a local thing.Other than that, Its just not--- not a family beach, not clean and land areas are Not beautiful. Not sure why someone would lead you to believe this. See pictures for yourself. Travelers can enjoy plenty of the other beaches that would be more suitable. I am not even sure why they are building houses nearby... not a good location and probably never will be.

Very pretty water and a great view of Downtown and Waikiki but there is not enough supervision. There were people smoking weed in the parking lot in front of families. Also, I noticed dog poop and cigarette butts along the beach.

Great area. Good people living there but not so good ones as well. Beach is usually clean but sometimes becomes a mess. Latrines and showers work.

Nice place. However, the homeless that are there should really be removed. They are taking the beauty of the beach away. Something should be done to help them relocate to a shelter.

Rustic unimproved beach. Not your tourist trap. This beach is good for year round moderate surfing, reasonable fishing, and wonderful views from sunrise until sunset

Known as Haubush to me... but its been dressed up more than when I remember it as a child, one major thing, the homeless inhabitants, Hawaii has homeless, but its particularly uncomfortable on the far end since there is a number of makeshift tents and so on. But if you use the left side of the beach, its beautiful, as the picture depicts, you can see honolulu from here.

This place is for moderate bodyboarders and surfers. The waves arent huge but they are a decent size to surf and bodyboard on and yet you still need to have some swimming experience. It is rocky beneath the surface so you have to be careful stepping out. The beach wasnt crowded so there was plenty of space to move without having to dodge people. Altogether, it was a great experience and the family had a lot of fun there! We will be going back!

Been through a lot of negative times from the good old days. Needs lots of TLC from all the abuse of a homeless camp area. No real restroom just portables restroom. Its just had its time from knowing how beautiful it once was. Not really a safe place in the evenings. Just a bit sad!

What blows my mind is that at the time of writing this has a 4.1 star rating. I understand that some people feel a kinship or a nostalgia that everything from their childhood is amazing, but its not always the case. Reviewing this completely subjectively the beach isnt up to par to compete with any of the others on island unless you go here for the light surf. Essentially this place is a homeless encampment with a nice view. If I were to guess I would say there are about 6 or 7 hundred pounds of trash in differing degrees of decomp littered around the area, either in trash bags or just floating around on the ground. The beach has a lot of potential to be a good hidden beach, but it seems that the locals who love this beach may be the ones that trash it. Cant blame that on tourism. Hopefully the locals gain a sense of pride and enforce their environment and clean it up, you know, keep Hawaii, Hawaii Im all for it, but for now its all talk and no action.
