Softball ,/ baseball fields are in excellent condition though the fields are small for a mens softball league. There is a field house with restrooms that are well-maintained and clean and the parking lot is quite large. This complex attracts family-friendly nice crowd and also a crowd that place pick up games of soccer.

I went there on Fathers Day. Lots of people grilling for day. Park was not taped off. Few kids in park. Then after 2 kids started off playing in park more came. About 10 kids in park after spending an hour in park. According to Mayor Lightfoot of Chicago parks are not open and equipment has not been disinfected yet. So use your own judgement when letting your kids play. James park is in Evanston.

Community park with six tennis courts without lights. Courts are exposed to the wind from south. In the back multiple soccer fields with a lot of traffic on weekends. There is a pretty large hill on the southwest side that can be used for cardio training. Walk or run up or down, vertical height probably around 50-80 ft.

I cant believe how much trash (specially broken glass bottles) are spread on the hill towards the sledge area. All that hill in any path you take to go up or down. Be super careful if you have a dog. I so hate when people (and park authorities) cant keep clean a public place.

Nice park with extensive baseball fields and very large soccer fields with a playground and basketball court and a track where you can run and walk.

James park is a much used public space in Evanson. It has vast open flat fields groomed for soccer, and some very nice baseball diamonds, so if you are there for an organized sporting event its great. If you bring kids to play in the playground area, I found it was full of trash, and the equipment is very limited. As parks on the Northshore go, this one has few trees and is just not pleasant.

The field and the lights. The way to get to the fields is a little confusing and the bleachers on the visitors side do not allow good viewing of the field

Great place, environmentaly friendly, build a great physique. Used to do toboggan slides here as a youth. Mount trashmore is a landfill turned rec area in winter. Perfectly manicured fields. Safe place for kids. Athletes who want to step up game can practice.

This park is huge! It has five or more base ball fields three or more soccer fields, 3 hugs mountain to climb up to get a great view of the Chicago skyline! A beautiful park for the lil one to play. A small sandbox. Parking, a basketball court. A one and a half mile jogging track. I could go on and on. This park is the best in Evanston!

Tennis courts could use some maintenance (slippery sandy surface in spots) and resurfacing, but otherwise are good courts

An awesome park! It is really there for everyone. It has a path all around for jogfing biking and even walking. There are 4 baseball feilds, and 2 soccer feilds. And 1 giant hill great for just about anything you do on a hill.
