We had a great time performing at Sheil Catholic Center’s sock hop fundraiser 2018. Everyone had a blast!! Father Kevin came up and sang Blue Suede Shoes with an Elvis wig on .. he did a great job too .. it was too funny Dance instructor Dan was teaching everyone how to do the stroll, jitterbug and hand jive. The 50’s where a fun era for music and dancing. I can’t say enough about how Natalie Conrardy did such an outstanding job on all the decorations and organizing the event. She had every detail down and it made you excited to be there. She is the best!! I was kind of hoping that they could leave everything up and we can do this 50’s dance once a month; I think it would catch on. This place feels like home. The community is incredibly welcoming and non-judgmental. Its one of my very favorite reasons that I love living in Evanston.

Another beautiful Holy Roman Catholic Church, with such rich history; right in front of the Northwestern University and bus stop and few 100 feet away from CTA stop.Open all through the day, late evenings too.Parish Priest is always full of joy and vigour and welcomes everyone who open that door.Church has a big crucifix and the natural lights gives the most enhanced serene assuring look of Jesus Christ from the crossThe library has good collection of Christian books, CDs e.t.cTheres always college kids sitting and studying there but they do maintain silence (like unsaid words & understanding)Keep yourself warm with coffee or some snacks from the open gathering spaceMany many activities are being held throughout the year for youth, kids and adultsIf you are into fellowship and wanting a meet people, hop down to the basement for some games (children and adults)I invariably end up inside the Church after the University and through this Church, Ive done PRISON MINISTRY tooCome in, you will surely take something with you from this Holy Church

Communion is the baked bread, like at St Clements. Parishioners follow the wheat/ water recipe to bake it properly.
