Truly enjoyed myself. Awesome staff, very polite and accommodating. Extremely safe. They pause operations for through cleaning. Take temperatures upon entering. If you dont have an appointment, no fear. You can still enjoy your wine and goodies in the picnic area. Benches are plenty spaced. Perfect for that Zen break

Orfila is great! Beautiful grounds with awesome views of their vineyards which produce their tastey red wines (they also have whites) good for groups or just a couple having a glass or two. Consider becoming a member to take advantage of their benefits that are also good at the Orfila tasting room and restaurant in Oceanside. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff too (Christian, Kathrine, Gilly, Jenny, Victoria, Luke, Chuck and everyone else). By the way the food at the Oceanside location is fantastic! Cheers!

Gorgeous views and wonderful wine. Just missing food options and they wont let you bring in your own. Its also frustrating you cant bring your baby onto the lawn. I understand enforcing the 21 year age requirement for the actual building but I was surprised I couldnt enjoy the winery with my infant. We were only allowed to sit in the back side with no view.

The winery was very well maintained and the staff were calm during this pandemic which is good because their priority is your safety along with theirs. I would say that it feels like a professional establishment, so if you are referring to this place for a more “fun” time with friends. Please consider the environment that you are in, people here are more for the family situations or date nights. My friends and I definitely were not taken as seriously unless we took the initiative to show that we weren’t young 21 year olds. However, I would say that this is quite a nice place if you are here for quiet afternoon or evening with friends. Make reservations for Fridays-Sundays. I gave it 4/5 stars because we tipped 20% and were treated quite poorly for buying two bottles of wine along with maintained social distance.

I had the worst winery experience of my life here, my group wasted money on a perfectly good bottle of wine due to the not so friendly staff. The winery has time slots you can come in to taste wines. Make sue you bring an egg timer to put on your table and set it to go off 30 minutes before your time slot is over. The staff will quite literally will snatch the glasses from your hands when your time is up.What upset me the most was they do not announce a last call or warn you when the time is close to being up. They literally sold an opened a bottle of wine to my group with 15 minutes left in our time slot. We poured glasses and were each about half way through our glass when the time was up. One of the workers came over and tried to take a half full glass of wine out of all our hands. When I politely asked if we could finish our glasses she immediately responded with I will go get the manager. The manager quickly arrived and asked us to hand over our glasses and told us our time was up and they needed to clean the table for the next group. I understood and asked if we could go sit in the grass for 10 minutes and finish our wine and then be on our way. He told us no and that it could potentially confuse the arriving guests. He then went and got us paper cups and had us chug our wine in the parking lot....I suggested it would be helpful if they announced a last call or something in the future and maybe not to sell and open wine bottles for guests when last call came. He rudely responded, we are all adults here we can all tell time. I was literally trying to help and the manager did not care at all.I have never been asked to chug wine out of a paper glass in the parking lot before and cant believe they literally confiscated our glasses out of our hands when time was up. I dont think they could have possibly cleaned all the tables in the ten minutes it would have taken us to finish our glasses of wine. They didnt even try to work with us....

Horrible experience, I would never go back. We took a four-day old 6 pound baby in a car seat to have a glass of wine and they chased us out saying it was 21+. Keep in mind we had made a reservation and they didn’t say anything during our reservation about being not allowed to bring a car seat with you. When I asked to speak to a manager, the lady sassed me and said “have a great day.” We have been members for years and will never be back.

Had a great tasting experience here as they opened on a sunny Thursday morning. We shared a tasting ($15 w/o tax) and throughly enjoyed the range of wines they had to offer. We learned about the history of the owners and the vineyards. They have a huge wine club (by Willamette Valley, Oregon standards) & have developed the tasting room and winery into an event venue, including an area that is family friendly (under 21). Stop & try these wines and take some home with you (we did!).

Were staying in Oceanside and wanted to experience visiting a vineyard and wine tasting. The Escondido area is incredibly picturesque and even if you dont care for wine its a relaxing and beautiful place to visit. An unexpected highlight of Orfila vineyard was live music by Joe Cardillo, a very personable and talented singer and instrumentalist. Well worth the 30-40 minute trip from Oceanside. I was surprised to see live entertainment on a Monday afternoon. Kudos to Orfila!

Love this winery! So much closer than Temecula and such a sweet little area to relax and enjoy an afternoon. Really delicious wine! My favorites are the Grenaché Rose & the Pinot Noir Sequestered.Today was my husbands and my first time at Orfila and we became members because of how awesome the atmosphere is. Seating is limited-ish but you can bring chairs to sit on the grass (noted!). I also love that they have a family area separate from the 21+ area. Can’t wait to come back! Also we LOVE jazz and there just so happened to be a live jazz band today!

We recently joined this beautiful winery and couldn’t be happier! They have Temecula-quality wine without the drive. They’re on a beautiful property with great views. As well, they have a separate area for families and children to run around and play without disturbing the adults who are there for some alone time with other adults! Best of both worlds! Their wine is also very reasonably priced. If you join the wine club, they do special events for members only. We love Orfila!

Pull up a chair so I can share my experience with OV&W. My daughter had her wedding there and I cannot state enough what a wonderful experience we all had. The wedding coordinator, Tania was fantastic! She had it all under control and whatever we needed she did it. I kept telling my daughter not to expect a perfect wedding because something always goes awry. However, I can honestly say her wedding was perfect with no problems at all and I truly believe it was all because of Tania and her expertise and professionalism. The staff that helped were all very friendly and professional as well. If you are looking for a venue for your special day or event look no further than Orfila Vineyards and Winery! And if you are looking for a wedding venue make sure you ask for Tania! She really is the best and will help to make your day special. I just cant say enough about her and her friendly professionalism on the day of my daughters wedding. She really made it that more special by taking care of everything so we could relax and just enjoy in our daughters special day.

We have been members since the tasting room in Julian opened (now closed) and the service at the counter in Escondido has been less than stellar since. For the second time in under a year we were left standing while the staff waited on people that came in after us. I habitually wear t-shirts and jeans so maybe they think I’m a loser (34 year federal employee) and the others were dressed to the nines however, should that matter? We have decided to cancel our membership as this is unacceptable.

I loved this place just loved it. I brought a friend with me after 4pm on a Friday and they had live music another plus. When you purchase wine tasting on Group on the price is $12 for two people. The staff (all the men) were amazing I love people. The one women that helped me once that night wasnt too pleasant but that didnt spoil the place. Inside the winery where you get your glass filled its like a little wine store with a hint of history and a lot of background. Being a member you get a lot of perks. We sat on grass area looking over into the vines. They dont serve food but they had a 5 start lunch truck. Im definitely going back. Also theres a area for picnics, family with kids and adult only area. A mix of ages but I would say more so a mature crowd. And I read a comment of people complaining.... I have no honest CLUE WHY ANYONE WOULD BRING KIDS OR CHILDREN FOR THAT MATTER TO A PLACE WHERE THERE ARE OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF ADULTS. (which means its not a place for kids to play its for adults to relax) if they have room for the kids then so be it but dont get mad.

Ive passed by this winery several times en route to the San Diego Safari Park with my wife. We finally managed to check it out on the return trip today. The atmosphere was nice. We each got the six-wine tasting, and split them, so we were able to try twelve. The pours were slightly small, but reasonable. Between the two of us, we tried six white wines, two rosés, three reds, and a red dessert.Unfortunately, I didnt record the names to match to our opinions of the wines, but I can safely say that we each thought about eight were average and two were bad. We each particularly liked the Petit Syrah and the dessert wine.

Unfortunately we visited this establishment for the last time recently, where our experience was negative for multiple reasons. Namely, it seems kids are now unwelcome in large portions of the property where they had been in years past, including the main patio area where one could relax and eat/drink wine. There is a grassy area on one side of the property that does allow kids, but on sunny days if you arent lucky enough to get a picnic table in the shade, it is sweltering. The patrons who did find shady places to sit inexplicably moved (I was told by a staff member) all the tables with umbrellas into the shade as well, which could have been better managed, in my humble opinion, for the enjoyment of more guests. While many seemed to be having a good time, what had been a nice way to spend the day has turned into something else in my book.
