A fascinating piece of functioning history! The gift shop has a good selection of relevant items that you actually want to buy, which is refreshing nowadays. The tour guides are knowledgable and enthusiastic. The lighthouse tour includes a climb up a 78-step circular staircase, so it is not for the unfit or those scared of tight places and/or heights. But, for those that can enjoy the trip to the top, I highly recommend it! It is a view that you wont soon forget!

Lighthouse closed this time of year, but it was still impressive to view, even on a dreary rainy day. It has gone through many improvements over the years and attracts a lot of attention. But dont miss out on the sidewalk trail on the other side of the road. The fall leaf colors were peaking while I was there and I was literally surrounded by natural beauty.

To go inside of a lighthouse you have to pay $3 and to go to the top of a tower its $6.The view of the lake and the beach itself are beautiful behind the lighthouse. One of the best ones on the Isle. They also got a tiny souvenirs store, where you can find some handmade products and t-shirt . The prices are pretty high though. I would go back to the beach hear. Its a crowded area, but you have many options to choose from. Explore your surroundings!

Such a cute place! We visited in the beginning of May so we were unable to tour the inside of the lighthouse, but it was stunning nonetheless! Its a cute place to walk around on a nice day, maybe walk through the sand a little. If you skip down the beach a little, there is a tiny stick house on the beach! Definitely worth a visit. We were one of the only few around the lighthouse and beach. It was still a nice breezy, sunny day even though we werent touring or swimming!

This place was so very nice after being on the road for several days!! Lots of nice beaches right off the road and a really cool lighthouse at the end of the park. Restaurants as you go into the park and some entertainment also. Love this place and will make an effort to return, solely to visit here, instead of a drop by.

This was a very nice lighthouse. My wife and I went walking on the beach behind it and found some beach glass. There are driftwood structures on the beach behind the lighthouse as well as a lonesome tree growing on the breakwall.

Cute island with a ton of things to do. In the summer hours youre able to visit inside the lighthouses. There are bicycle, boat, and boat house rentals. Plenty of hiking trails and a ton of sight seeing that is worth the while. Clean and quiet with helpful staff roaming around that is more than helpful!

This lighthouse and surrounding area are beautiful! I was able to walk around the lighthouse, drive around the park, and skip rocks on the water. It was peaceful and not crowded when I visited on a Sunday in December. While there’s not a ton to do at this site, it is still worth the trip for a picturesque drive and scenic stop.

This place was worth the stop. We had to wait about 20 minutes until it was our turn for the tour, which gave us enough time to walk out to the beach and explore the downstairs portion of the lighthouse. The map of shipwrecked boats was really neat to see and the gentleman who was working that day was very knowledgeable.

We finally had a chance to visit and climb the lighthouse this year (last time it was closed). The house tour was 15 mins, and the lighthouse tour was 15 mins. Tickets were $6 per adult, which is okay since it goes toward maintaining and updating the lighthouse. The view at the top of the lighthouse is beautiful!

What is there to say about this place? To be perfectly honest, we have been up there 3 times within the past 2 years. Not only is it beautiful and picturesque, but it has a decent beach right there that isnt always packed like some of the others. But hobestly it is a nice place to have a little getaway with you and your significant other or head up there with the family for a nice little day of it, you wont be disappointed.

We stopped by here for a fun detour on a road trip and we were not disappointed! The drive there was a bit lengthy. We found out that they offer tours where you can climb to the top. My kids are too young to enjoy that now but older kids definitely could love that. The beach here is also great. It feels so private. The gift shop was cute! Definitely a great stop on our trip.
