This place is about 5 minutes drive from Voyageurs Landing Forest Preserve ( photo I shared earlier).Tyler Creek is a tributary to the Fox River, and starts at a point very near to this place ( close to Judson University) and flows for about 11 miles or so and vanishes abruptly somewhere along Illinois Route 72 ( at least thats what the map shows). This is one of the most lovely, peaceful and quiet places that I have visited in Elgin. The footbridge in the photo runs over Tyler Creek, and there is a cute bench at the end of the bridge where you can sit and watch the water flowing :). The Creek at this point is very shallow, and from time to time, I have seen many children and even grownups get into the water and play around :) There is also a park, picnic area at this place.

This is a really great place for group events in a peaceful, natural setting. It may look small from the front but you can cross the creek to find a nice place for walking in the woods. Great for families, romantic walks, or just taking the dog out for some exercise.

I havent been to Tyler Creek in a while. I went there expecting to go to park in the back lot. To learn the back lot was gone and it was turned into a lovely Field of Flowers. I cant tell you how beautiful this was alongside the creek and sound of the running water. Boy if you have some time in Elgin this is something to see.

We’ve held a family reunion here annually for years. The pavilions are spacious and include electrical outlets and there are enclosed, permanent restrooms and water pumps.

Small quaint area with hiking area and stream. Occasionally a shady character looming around. Nice picnic shelters that can accommodate large groups. Lots of noise pollution from nearby expressway.

I grew up going to this as a kid during the YMCA its a crazy place with some really good trails theyre kind of small its not really large but if you want to feel like youre in the woods for a minute you definitely feel like that there when I was get it felt super large I went there recently and it really wasnt that big I was surprised but its a good place to take your kids to enjoy the wilderness
