Cool mini half pipe but the park itself is too small. No good flow and gets crowded fast

I adore this park, primarily for the skate park built in one corner. Its within a nice weather walk from my house, but thats a personal perk. The skate park portion is a decent size, fenced in with a gate, and has 7 different elements. The elements start with a small funbox with an attached grindbox and top rail, great for newbies who want to start learning ramps/pipes. There is also an independent straight rail for practicing grinding. Next there is a 4 ft tall (guesstimated by my height in relation) banked quarter pipe, a banked half pipe (4 ft. tall), a 7 ft. tall banked quarter pipe with a central mini quarter, a 6ft to 7 ft quarter pipe with a roll in, and a second larger funbox (directly in between the last two quarter pipes) with rails, grindboxes, ledges, stairs, and banks. The flow of the skate park is fairly good, and the set up allows for separate runs for two to three groups to skate at the same time. Ive never seen more than 5 or 6 skaters at a time, but there constantly seems to be at least 1 or 2 there. Ive skated with mid 40s skate punks to 5/6yos on their first boards.Ive been teaching my 8yo and 10yo to skate, and when they get tired of skating they like playing in the playground while I get some skating in. The different elements allow skating at any skill level. The park also has a rather large field for playing tag/ soccer/ football/etc, a very small pavilion, and a newly (ish) updated playground area. The playground has swings, several slides, a climbing wall, a play structure, and a weird looking upside down teeter totter. Great for the 4-12 crowd. This is one of my favorite parks in the area. I love the fact that the high fence prevents skateboards from flying into the street. There is some spill over from the playground of kids wanting to just climb/slide on the ramps and people letting their dogs run around inside the fenced area, but they usually leave once asked. My one and only (very mild) gripe is that one side of the park is on a rather busy street, but the layout of the park means the fenced skate park is between the high traffic road and the playground. The park is also very well lit at night and well maintained by the city. No public bathrooms or water fountains, though. The closest public bathrooms are at the Gail Borden Library.

Good place to take younger kids to play. My nephews loved it here. The one downside is it seems to be a makeout spot for early teens. Luckily they didnt stick around to long after we arrived.

We were lucky to visit this park when no one else was around - we had the whole park to ourselves! The park has 2 playground areas - a large one for bigger kids and a smaller one for little kids. Theres also a skate park here that would be great for teens.

A playground sits here in a neighborhood square. The playground looks alright, and kids are there mildly often.I enjoy the skatepark there; however, one of the quarter pipes is excessively waxed, making it slippery and maybe dangerous. One of the rails for the halfpipe also sticks a lot. There is often a bit of litter, and one time broken plastic. If youre around here and feel like being a good person, pick and and throw out some of the trash laying around.
