I actually like Forest Preserve. I utilize it mostly as a quick and easy bike trail. It has different phases, all different but challenging to ride. It has a soft gravel portion, a wooded area, and plenty of hills to get your heart rate up. If it had more shaded areas it would be a perfect beginners trail for riding.

Beautiful but I didnt like the gravel for my bicycle so we went back to the asphalt.

Three mile loop through a variety of habitats...prairie, woodland, etc. 2 stream crossings and a pond with a floating dock.

This park is pretty freakin neato. I made a bowel movement in their restroom and it plummeted about 20-30 feet below the ground. Never seen anything like that before. The complimentary toilet tissue was superb. Would go again.

Dont mind my rebellious dogs off leash. This forest preserve is beautiful and well kept. Would reccomend bug spray in the summer. The path is typically not crowded. There are bathrooms halfway around and water fountains. I love having the freedom off walking our dogs and hooking them up when others approach. Must see time is fall. The wooded areas are GORGEOUS. Our go to spot for family pictures.

Nice 3 mile loop, well maintained trails, and a bit off the beaten path. Enough hills to keep a runner/ bike rider in for a good workout.

Great forest preserve for hiking, biking, and dog walking. There are many different types of plants, and a small creek runs through park of the preserve.

This natural prairie reclaimed from farmland offers paved or mowed trailsRight now, the summer crop of coreopsis, bee balm, milkweed sunflower and other varieties are eye candy for walkers bikers and horseback riders. Beautiful!

I always enjoy walking through Fitchie Creek Forest Preserve. It was a beautiful day and there were lots of other people out there enjoying the trail today. Great place!

Easy walk

Great relaxing place to walk, jog or walk your dog. Beautiful preserve, peaceful and safe. All ages walk there including mothers and kids jogging, young couples, teens and older adults.

Lots of song birds, and a hawk. Lovely trail.

Love running here for the scenery, the horses, and the peacefulness. You can park in the lot on Russell, and every 2.23 miles you are back at your car for water/gatorade/bathroom,etc. It works out great for those long mileage days. The problems that I wish they would address, are the flooding by the creek (paved portion) whenever there is rain....any kind of rain. Also currently, there is a ton of loose gravel sections where is it like running or biking on coarse beach sand. They even put up signs (Loose Gravel) in one place (instead of just removing the gravel), but there are at least 3 other sections that are worse. Could easily bump this up to 5 stars if something could be done about those 2 things.

I run here regularly and its never too crowded or busy. The shaded area creates a good 1/2 mile to cool down and if you have a dog, theres two creek crossings that your puppy can cool down!

Excellent for walking or biking. Nice area, feels safe. Will have standing water in paths if theres a heavy rain.
