Ive been going to this park for over 30 years. I love the picnic table areas and set up nets for volleyball and badminton hoping to never lose the shuttlecock in the fallen eucalyptus tree leaves and branches! Good memories. I also love to frequent the great hiking trails available at this Park.

Theres a great hiking trail/loop here thats pretty much straight up and straight down that I like to do when I have limited time for exercise but still want a high impact workout. Its roughly 2 miles and 575ft elevation. The trail is heavily used, but not many people are out on a weekday afternoon. When you get to the top theres a nice view of the dam. I recommend it!

Very flat, large meadow, lined with eucalyptus. Many picnic tables and volleyball nets. Bathrooms were open. We hiked about a mile through the main loop. It was steep with loose gravel in patches and some good views.

Great picnic areas by the large grassy lawn. The grassy area can get fairly crowded, but you can call the EBRPD ahead to see if the area is booked up. Seafoam trail has great views of the reservoir. Its also a great hike to demonstrate the difference aspect has on the vegetation, the south side is sage brush, the north side Bay Laurels.

Beautiful place! The wide green lawn is lovely for picnics or sports, with a nice eucalyptus border. I recommend the lower seafoam loop for a great view of San Pablo reservoir. Going clockwise around it is advised on hot days - that way you will go uphill in the cool forest and downhill in the hot sun. A nice variety of landscape and very green with multicolored flowers in the spring.

This is our go to when it comes to a walk with our son. At 29 years of age he is very energetic. However not so graceful. There is plenty of paved walkway around the large grassy area. Once around is 1/3 of a mile. There is also a trail which wraps around a little higher but is still easily navigated for those who cant take on the steeper trails. This trail adds 1/3 of a mile to the walk, is a bit more of a hike and a little more scenic. My wife and I hike these trails occasionally and they are a slight challenge but fun and beautiful. There are additional trails which take you much higher and require more agility. All trails are marked and a map can be picked up by the restrooms.

Such a beautiful park, we were their for a friends birthday. I wish I realized they had Volleyball and horseshoe pits, I would have brought our ball and shoes to play with. Or the park offering to rent such items would be nice. They would probably make some good money. Dogs are allowed; which will be nice on the next visit to check out some trails.

Great big area for a picnic or maybe even a wedding with family. Not a great area for hiking, as I could only find one tiny trail behind the cottage. By tiny, I mean it was maybe a quarter of a mile long. I intentionally went to this park with my two dogs to hike, so having spent $7 (5 to park & 2 for having dogs) to wander around while people BBQd was a little odd.
