Great place. Relatively small. Only host about 150 people max. It’s located on the upper floor. Adequate parking in front of location. Sound system quality is merely satisfactory.

The Phoenix Theatre is the cat’s meow...it’s a hidden gem in Edmonds. They graciously lease out there stage to assist Dandylyon Drama summer camp when it’s not in use. I have passed this place a couple of dozen times, but after actually stepping foot in side and seeing my daughters play. I had to pull up the site and picked a few plays to see. I can’t wait to go back.

First time that my wife, daughter, and I attended the Phoenix Theater. We were greeted like we have been attending there forever. The staff was very cheerful and friendly.The musical The Heathers was featured. As the lights went down, and Veronica was standing all alone in the dark, I knew we were in for a great performance. I was not disappointed.The cast was SENSATIONAL, from the beginning to the end of the play. I was so captivated, I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting with great anticipation for what followed next.There were a few times they actually drew me into the scene. My wife had to hold me down, because I was ready to intervene in some of the scenes. Such scenes as:The school jocks were bullying the nerds, and making fun of Marthas appearance, size.The Three Heathers treating everyone as if they were beneath them.The one that really got me almost to me feet, was when Martha was walking on the edge of the stage like she was on the edge of a building right in front of me. She acted as if she was going to fall, and I lunged forward as to catch her. My wife grabbed my arm and held me back into my seat.There were a lot more, too many to list, but thats what made me enjoy it so much.Lets talk about everyones sing. Those voices, they were so strong, passionate, and very, very heartfelt. I could understand every word, and it actually felt as if they were singing to only me.In my opinion each and everyone of those young ladies, and young men deserved the standing ovation they received. My only regret was that I was not able to give them one myself.If asked would I attend another showing I would DEFINITELY, if I could.My hat is off to you all.

Just saw another excellent production at this theater. I love this place, the shows, the actors and the audience. The small space makes every performance special and intimate. The actors are comfortable in their roles and make you practically forget you are watching a stage production. You should go!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of attending the closing night of, Ripcord! We laughed and laughed! The actors delivered their lines with perfect timing! Attending the Phoenix Theater plays is one of the highlights of living in Washington.Whether you are a tourist or a resident, attending a performance at the Phoenix Theater should be at the top of your entertainment choices!

A small but bustling professional theater that produces comedy. I am totally biased because I volunteer for them. But its run by good people and they put on good shows.

The actors here are all top notch. theres captioned performances once or twice a month. accessible to all mobility aids.

Nice little venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Acting has been good in both the plays Ive seen. Beverages available and free parking on site.

We just saw the play The Foreigner tonight. It was hilarious! Very nice staff, good refreshments, and reasonable prices.

A surprising intimate gem. We saw a short play calle God of Carnage with a cast of four. The small theater allows everyone the feeling of being in the front row making the play a very immersive experience. On the second floor of the building. Small concession with a bar. Great performance by all. We will be coming back.

Great little (95 seat) community theater. The theater is on the second floor of a 1960s strip mall, but if you dont do well with steps, there is a handicap entrance around the back alley that will put you right at the main floor level.

I love live theatre and this is where I come to feed my need. Melanie Calderwood has made my dream come true at this little gem. Small and intimate with actors who strive to entertain.
