This is a great river spot so long as there are no homeless or sketchy people.

Great spot for a picnic or just getting down by the river. There are covered tables, and restrooms here for your convenience. This would also be a good place to get the dog out for a run fetch in the water.

A nice little area along the river. Not much there, just a couple pick-nick tables, and usually locked bathrooms, lol.

Decent enough way station for a quick and quit riverside woodland experience. The occasional rafting tour or boat launches interrupt peaceful meditation, but the tranquility of the rapidly racing waters bubbling along its course is dynamic enough to ignore all but the most persistent annoyance. Sunbaked & overused vault toilets make any prolonged visit to the park unpleasant.

Quiet when the rafting companies arent taking out with their passengers running amok and peaceful when there arent bums hiding in the brush around the perimiter of the park. The heavy police presence there could be a good or bad thing, depending on your motives.

This park is now a gathering place for the homeless and in the winter they don’t plow it

Quiet park riverside to the Animus in Durango, CO. Small with parking for a few cars. Has restrooms and picnic tables. Well maintained. Naturally beautiful. Right on the river.

Its the beginning, or maybe the end, of the Animas river trail - the show piece trail in the city of Durango. Dallabetta put in ( put out?) is an amazing end to your river adventures as well. Start at the 32nd Street put in and float your way almost 10 miles through the heart of Durango, ending your journey at dallabetta. An adventure that can be family friendly in low river, or an epic adventure through the Whitewater park that is world class during high flows. Tubing is only recommended when flows drop below 500 CFS.Enjoy!!!!
