This is a great river spot so long as there are no homeless or sketchy people.
Awsome place quieter get away rite in town.nice river picnic areas. Close to stores
A nice little area along the river. Not much there, just a couple pick-nick tables, and usually locked bathrooms, lol.
Great place to walk your dogs
Great place to have a picnic and enjoy the Animas river.
Good fishing not to many people
Spacious, tranquil and relaxing.
Super peaceful place!
Sadly the restrooms are closed.
Decent enough way station for a quick and quit riverside woodland experience. The occasional rafting tour or boat launches interrupt peaceful meditation, but the tranquility of the rapidly racing waters bubbling along its course is dynamic enough to ignore all but the most persistent annoyance. Sunbaked & overused vault toilets make any prolonged visit to the park unpleasant.
Quiet when the rafting companies arent taking out with their passengers running amok and peaceful when there arent bums hiding in the brush around the perimiter of the park. The heavy police presence there could be a good or bad thing, depending on your motives.
This park is now a gathering place for the homeless and in the winter they don’t plow it
Quiet park riverside to the Animus in Durango, CO. Small with parking for a few cars. Has restrooms and picnic tables. Well maintained. Naturally beautiful. Right on the river.
Great little park with access to trails and fishing.
One of the best out of the way spots for a picnic lunch in Durango.
Dope place to have smoke sesh
Great little park. River access, picnic tables and restrooms.
Nice views of the river.
Nice area to enjoy the animas river.
This is quite you can watch people fly fishing.
Nice environment, the locals are friendly, the river is amazing.
Used to be better. Busier and many transients coming and going.
Great place we go 2or3 times a week. Beautiful view of the Animas river. Nice shaded and covered picnic tables
Has a rest room and a great view.
Great place for kids and dogs to play in the river.
Great place for lunch or dipping your toes in the Animas River. It is handicapped accessible however the restrooms are closed part of the year not even a Porta potty.
Nice place to take the family to fish or have a picnic by the river
One of my favorite parks in Durango because of the light traffic.
Really cool out of the way place.
Its the beginning, or maybe the end, of the Animas river trail - the show piece trail in the city of Durango. Dallabetta put in ( put out?) is an amazing end to your river adventures as well. Start at the 32nd Street put in and float your way almost 10 miles through the heart of Durango, ending your journey at dallabetta. An adventure that can be family friendly in low river, or an epic adventure through the Whitewater park that is world class during high flows. Tubing is only recommended when flows drop below 500 CFS.Enjoy!!!!
Clean and serene!!
Perfect 4 locals let the tourist stay
