Very nice park with a fun disc golf course . Mostly par 3s and moves along fast . Well kept , there are trees and rough but not the disc swallowing kind. Fall is perfect time for colors and no bugs .

Im originally from Denver,CO and now I live in FL but was here visiting with my girlfriends family. Honestly it was fantastic, the river is beautiful and not super over crowded. There are plenty of places to put your boat in the water. Everything was clean and well maintained, overall a great experience in Illinois and I especially love the natural areas, you can tell the people that live in this area really care about their common spaces.

I love that place my whole life weve been doing our family reunions there for over 40 years my grandmas favorite place in the world is that part of family has a lot of memories and we have a lot of good memories and good times there The park is basically the same as it was when I was a kid they just have a new updated playgrounds to play on I cant believe they still have the original miracle round! He dont seem many of the old school miracle rounds anymore and usually the newer ones that you said on top of that are all plastic and yes spin the wheel in the middle I still like those school ones! If youve never been to this park you should go you dont know what youre missing out on! if you want some theres sunny spots and if you want shave theres a plenty of that around too and you can also go fishing while your kids are playing at the park! Best park ever to my family and friends.

I consider this a city park and it may not be. But either way it is well maintained and has gorgeous grounds and views. One of my favorite parks to walk or picnic. I love that it is take out what you bring in. I would have given 5 stars but there are 2 points I fell need improvement. 1) needs the concessions building reopened 2) primitive camping would be a huge bonus !! But I really do recommend a visit to Lowell park Anytime your in the area and everytime I come back to this part of Illinois I always stop. Whom ever cares for the grounds....keep it up ! It is a beautiful park and your pride and efforts are much appreciated

One of the family favorites. A large forested park with trails for all ages and endurance levels, river front and boat launch, shelters with floors and roofs available for reservation, picnic tables aplenty, playground equipment is spread out but well rounded including swings, a slide and a merry go round. Expect to see wildlife including deer, turkey, indigenous birds from wrens to woodpeckers, and fish especially during the natural roosting seasons of mentioned wildlife.
