This place is great for family, friends and people of any handicap and is open to the public. The staff and customer service are great, the marshal was nice and tried his best to meet our needs, and the starter let us off early. The course is in great shape, the greens are well taken care of and the scenery is amazing. The front nine is easier than the back because of the back has holes that are more high risk high reward. I highly recommend this place for residents in the area or for anyone on vacation. The price is reasonable with a great junior rate. You will not be disappointed.

What a beautiful course that is maintained immaculately maintained . Has to be one of the best courses in the Florida panhandle.I do recommend getting there early. Traffic on 98 is notoriously bad and now its under construction . Also take advantage of the driving range and putting green .Staff is super nice and accommodating.

Played here July 27 2020. The review is simple!Outstanding course conditions.New greens and bunkers perfect condition! Fairways in tournament condition with medium length rough that made accuracy critical to scoring.The level of service from welcoming to post round was 5 star. Finally, pro shop was stocked with incredible selection of polos and gear.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!This course was a wreck!Greens were awful. The pace of play was a disaster! SLOW!There is construction EVERYWHERE.The construction is interfering with the course and they still charge a premium price.Believe me when I tell you there are far better courses in the area for much better value!I could go on and on, but DONT be fooled by the pictures, they are mostly from hole 18 which is beautiful, but thats the only one.Huge disappointment to say the least.

Two weeks ago my sons had a golf tournament at Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club. The course was very good and was in excellent condition. The layout was unique and challenging, but fun at the same time. The service was great. Overall we had a great time and would recommend it to others.

I have played here a few times since 2000, while on vacation and it was an immaculate experience. So much so that I have went out of my way to insist that folks play it when they are in the area, always with confidence that it would be great. I raved over the conditions and said even the best courses in my area were no match for this one. I cant do that again, my friend texted me these while they played last week and told me I would never get to reccomend any more golf outings for them. I was embarrassed. If this had been the Oaks or Pines courses I would have said oh well thats what you get from a municipal sometimes, but this is 140 dollar Regatta Bay. Before I play it again and I will give it a chance, I will have to go personally see it for myself to make sure it has returned to form.

Amazing golf club, in perfect condition. Right now there is a lot of construction going on, therefore Im already curious on the outcome of it. Staff is really friendly and helpful, only issue we had is that the carts have a display showing the position of itself but not for the carts on the same hole.

Absolutely gorgeous course. Cant wait to come back. Staff was very friendly, driving range and chipping/putting greens were in perfect shape, the greens on the course were immaculate. The people here know what theyre doing, and I cant wait to come back and play it again.

Very nice course with great views but had a terrible experience. The greens sucked and were firm but furry, very slow greens and could not even hit a wedge in without it bouncing off the green. Also lost a jacket( very expensive one) and it took me 6 calls over 2 days for them to even give me any information on where the lost and found was. By the 7 call they told me they didn’t have it. I left it in the back of the cart, they should have found it. Played at windswept dunes the next day and it was much better. Greens were nice and well kept, service people were very nice and welcoming and the course was in great shape.Update: they found my jacket, very thankful for that. Course was very nice but greens were a little more firm than I would like.

Regatta bay is the best golf course in the area. The owners just went through a huge renovation last year. The greens are a little firm but to be expected for new greens. They are currently rolling very true and quick even though they aerated recently. The staff is very friendly and the food is great too. You will not find a better golf experience on the emerald coast as the course is in great shape.

Nice track, had issues with tee times and being double booked and charged for a no show a week later. They handled the issue although changing times became a hassle. In good shape and fun layout.

Visited the emerald coast on early June 2018. After looking at multiple courses we settled on Regatta Bay. I am giving it 4 stars. The course was in great shape. The fairways were like carpet and the rough was cut appropriately to punish you just enough. The greens were pretty sandy which made putting interesting and it covered my ball with each putt. The bunkers were properly placed and added some difficultly which I enjoyed. The carts included GPS which helped judge distance. The driving range was closed so we didnt get to warm up which explains why the green fee was discounted since the range balls were included (would have been nice to know that ahead of time). I blame my first hole triple bogey on the closed range. There was a cool little putting and pitching green right next to the range which was in good shape too. My group was a twosome and we were paired with another twosome which I hate but is standard operating procedure. They squished our newly formed foursome in between 2 threesomes which forced us to let the group behind play through. Overall I loved the course and would recommend this course to any golfer at any handicap.

Updating my original review. Played the course again on 3/2/19 and theyve lost most of the greens. Really bad shape and I wouldnt recommend playing here. I was told theyre closing during the summer months and hope to reopen near the end of summer after replacing the greens. Wait until then to play here.Regatta is a really nice course with a great layout. When reviewing courses I try to take cost into consideration and when I played late May 2018 the conditions just werent what Id expect from a course that charges $129. There were two greens that had pretty bad dead spots (one pictured below). Other than that the fairways and greens were in good shape.People were very nice and Id come back and play again in the future for the right price.

GOAT PASTURE. Not worth the money. We paid $69 for 18, 4 of us. They have lost the greens. Only one green was playable. It is unfortunate as I have played here many years . We were not told of this problem until we had paid and were on the first green. When we finished I complained to the cart boy and he apologized repeatedly for our experience. I complained to the manager and his attitude was very dismissive. He said the discounted rate of $69 reflected the conditions of the green. REALLY. When you cant even put. A feeble apology at best from him. Money is better spent at other courses. When we left the cart boy again apologized to us. He actually cared.

Stunning. If you’re looking for a round in the area you won’t be disappointed. I’d recommend booking a super early tee time or a late afternoon tee time on GolfNow for the best rate. As a golfer Regatta offers the best of what you would expect. Beautiful clubhouse. The check in process was simple, friendly, and informative. Get there about an hour before your round so you can enjoy the practice greens and phenomenal range. Range is included in your green fee. GPS in carts was a very nice feature and I always found the yardage to be accurate. The course itself is in immaculate shape. Tough greens but obviously well attended. Lots of undulations that challenge you on the approach. Tee boxes were perfection. Lots of options for players of all levels. From tee to green the course is well designed. The right amount of risk reward. Great bunker complexes! Loved hitting out of that sand but watch out, there’s some steep lips on some of them that challenge your next shot. Great par 3’s over water are an absolute peach to shoot in to. If you’re a lower handicapper I think this course is great to play at the back tees. You’ll be hitting over water more and really have to drive the ball accurately. Higher handicaps can easily move up and eliminate hazard for a more enjoyable round. Hit em’ straight!

Always wanted to play here, and finally did. People were great, fairways great. Temporary greens stunk (took all defense the course had away), but everyone was VERY upfront about them. But just looking where the greens were you can tell this is an awesome course. And the fact theyre rebuilding shows the folks in charge care about keeping it nice. Will be back to play, hopefully greens will be back and running.Update (July 2020). Greens were up and running and course was as great as I thought it would be. Good folks working there.

Would have loved to play here without temporary greens but our group knew that going into the round. Course was still in great shape other than the greens. Cant wait to play when the course is fully constructed. Clubhouse is very nice as well.

Great course even with temp greens, just plays a little shorter. Loved that I got to use different clubs than I normally would. Fairways are in wonderful condition and no two holes are alike. I strongly recommend, especially at the discounted rates for greens under construction. Cant wait to play the upgraded course and new greens in the fall. Staff is superb, worth the golfing experience.

We sponsored a team for a great charity tournament they put on a few months back and we had so much fun! Friendly staff, good food, well-layed out course, and an awesome venue for hosting such an event. Our work crew just went back to play virtual golf in their new Trackman golf simulator room. We had a blast! It is like playing Golden Tee but you actually hit your own shots and play whatever course you want. They have a lot of construction going on right now and we look forward to playing there when it is complete. It looks like it will be amazing. Temp greens for the summer, we didnt get a chance to play on them but heard its just a shorter course for now and still lots of fun. Highly recommended establishment!

Just played Regatta Bay today. We were not made aware that work was being done on holes 5 & 6 and that #7 was made into a par 3 due to construction before we played. Have played here a few times before and had a pleasurable experience. We also had a walking player just show up on number 5 out of nowhere. He did not offer to let us go ahead as he was just getting to his tee shot in the fairway. On balance, the price was not comparable with the golf course condition. Under the current construction circumstances, Regatta Bay is not a good bargain.

Best course and best people in Destin! Beautiful layout and newly upgraded. You can’t beat it.

My family and I played a round here while on vacation about 6 weeks ago. The course is fantastic. Very well maintained and a golfers course...challenging but not too difficult for the casual golfer.I bought a few things from the pro shop including a shirt that I realized was the wrong size only after Id gotten back home (6 hrs away). The head pro Chris was kind enough to let me send the shirt to the pro shop and he mailed me back the correct size. He went above and beyond in this regard. I would highly recommend playing Regatta Bay when in the area. Their course, clubhouse, and staff are all top notch.

This was my second time playing Regatta and it was just as perfect as the first! The course is outstanding, with many beautiful sights to enjoy while playing. Grass is always perfect and the greens always roll consistent. Staff always goes over the top to be friendly and as helpful as possible. The breakfast from the grill was outstanding as well. I will always come back to Regatta when I’m visiting Destin!

We were a group of six couples (3 foursomes) playing golf at Regatta Bay. The day started our well until the starter and the towel guy started harassing each of our groups about playing slow. Our group plays 18 holes in around 4 hours, routinely. One group was told they were 6 minutes behind. Another group was told there were 2 open holes in front of them and we should speed up. We were playing best ball which is much faster than 4 people playing their own ball. When we started on hole #1 there was no one in sight. We caught up with a group on the back nine. I will never play this golf course again. Our entire group was upset about being pushed to play faster. We aren’t slow players or beginners. We all live in golf course communities. The only thing we can surmise is that the twosome behind our 3rd group was upset about waiting for 4 players. It just wasn’t the fun day we had all expected to have.

Outstanding course. Very picturesque! Id say the course features a moderate difficulty level. Im only an occasional golfer, and I pretty much stunk it up, but I wasnt there to obsess about my score or improve my game. I was there to have fun, and have fun I did. I really liked the iPad with the GPS on it in the cart, and the scenery, as I mentioned, was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly staff as well. I would definitely return if given the chance. People were nice. Greens were slow. Course overall was in great shape. Greens kept me from giving it a 5 star review & the price. Regular price is $125. We had a deal for $105. I believe $105 is steep for Regatta. Id say $90 would be fair. Ive played here many times & the greens have always been better than this.

I went to Destin on a work trip and Regatta Bay was recommended to me. This course was fantastic, very fun to play. They layout was beautiful and its proximity to other attractions in the city was perfect. We ended up playing it a few times. Very friendly staff, good food, and the Head Pro there was awesome. I squeezed in a lesson with him after he gave me some good tips on the driving range, this guy really knew his stuff and was superb at teaching proper golf mechanics. I will definitely be going back next time I am up there.

My husband and I played Regatta Bay last week on our vacation and it’s now my new favorite golf course in Destin! Incredibly beautiful and pristine. Memorable holes.. I’ve never seen such amazing sand traps. One hole imparticular has a beautiful green on a peninsula with a sand trap almost all the way around it on the water side. Just gorgeous! The staff at Regatta Bay was also amazing. As soon as we were getting our golf bags out of our car, someone pulled a cart right up to our car to load for us. Nice driving range and practice green as well. I also appreciated the efforts by staff to keep the pace of play moving. They were driving around the course to make sure everyone was keeping time. Honestly my favorite golf course I’ve played in a long time. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Awesome experience from the moment we arrived a staff member came and grabbed our bags from us. Price was fair. Everyone inside the club house was very polite and professional. The starter was very informative and funny at the same time. Course was in great shape and allowed almost any handicap to play, Im a single digit and I played the whites with the rest of the group and was still challenging yet allowed playability from almost anywhere on the course. Will definitely be coming back if Im in the area again.

Such a scenic course in a beautiful city! On a trip to northwest Florida, Regatta Bay was recommended to me by a friend who lives there. We were very impressed with the natural beauty of the course and its layout. Nice, challenging, and in great shape. Staff was awesome and treated us great. They have a nice and private Golf Academy section at the opposite end of the range (in a secluded area). I was able to sneak in a lesson with the Pro there and he was just fantastic. I was able to see my swing on the Trackman technology they have. He broke it down to me very well and even got the results on a disc to review. Cool stuff, will definitely be going back...Highly recommended!

Called the course prior to booking to ask if greens had been aerated recently. I was told they were healthy. We arrived and greens had been very recently top dressed. Holes hadnt been changed in several days. Greens really froggy and slow.On back 9 we ran into a group of 5 women. They did NOT let us play through....we were a twosome. Marshall passed them more than once. I made sure the golf pro knew what happened after our round. All he said was that was our members, they never let people play through.If you open tee times to the public, your course is obviously not viable being private. My suggestion would to start treating folks better and taking care of your greens if you want to charge 130 bucks.

Before we even walked inside, the staff was already taking care of our clubs and welcoming us. The service here is far and away heads above ANY course Ive ever played. The warm up session got us ready to play this absolutely gorgeous course. After our round, the drinks were reasonably priced and the service again was incredible. My clubs have not been this clean since I bought them, the staff cleaned them very well. Great place to play and relax! We cant wait to go back!

Wonderful and gorgeous establishment! I have family who recently retired in the Destin area and it is a very beautiful city. We went there for the first time this last holiday season and came across Regatta Bays website and decided to check it out. My husband absolutely raved about the course and we had a very nice meal on their clubhouse deck. Staff was extremely courteous and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend them to all!

Great golf

Truly amazing course, I loved it! I went there for a business trip and squeezed in a couple rounds of golf. Regatta Bay was recommended to me and I am so glad it was. The course was immaculate and challenging which is more than I can say for most golf courses these days. Staff was great as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Every time we visit Destin we make sure that we book at least one tee time if not two. I Love everything about the course layout and how it makes you use every club in the bag. The greens are very true and will challenge your game. The thing the won me over most was the chilled apples on the first hole. Keep up the excellent service!

In keeping with its next door neighbour, Kelly Plantation, the also immaculately presented course here at Regatta Bay, rated 4-1/2 stars, is another of the Emerald Coasts gems - the layout expansively roams through a forest of tall pine trees, occasionally passing some discreetly tucked away, upscale housing, and seriously flirting with several small lakes and ponds along the way.

Regatta bay golf club is a golfers dream come true! This course is challenging and a lot of fun. I am looking forward to my next visit down there so I can challenge my game at regatta bay golf club!

This is a very nice, interesting golf course to play. Some tough driving holes, some shorter holes where you have to high hybrid or long iron to set up a good approach. And the staff were very friendly. The big issue was the greens were in horrible condition. Had I known that we would have went elsewhere and certainly wouldnt have paid the high rate that we did. I guess they aerated 3-4 weeks ago and for some reason the greens havent recovered yet. Would love to see the course when it is in excellent conditions but not sure Ill be back.

The course was great, but the experience was terrible. This is a members course, meaning they let back-to-back member 5-somes play, even at prime hours during the week (which held up the entire course). Ive never really seen a course do this. If youre going to allow it, then just close it down to the public or give a disclaimer when booking the tee time (and reduce the fee). We will not be playing here again.

I have family in Destin, FL and kept hearing how beautiful the city and beaches were along with some great golf. We booked a few rounds at Regatta Bay Golf and Yacht Club about a month out ( 8 of us). What a beautiful and challenging course this turned out to be. Every hole was different and a golfer will need pretty much every club in his bag, which is a treat. They let you go out with a bang with a remarkable Tin Cup style 18th hole. Staff was great, food was great, will definitely be back here on next years trip!

First let me start by saying that I was very hesitant in booking a golf trip to Destin, FL. We always do an annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach and was reluctant to change, thinking this would not stand up to Myrtle (boy was I wrong)!!!! We played several rounds through the days of our trip, with a couple of them being here at the Regatta. Not only was this an outstanding layout which was in outstanding condition, but the staff were extremely accommodating!! The head pro Mike Giammaresi was extremely gracious in getting us started as well as making himself available to our group. Then came time to eat, and the facilities as well as food were everything to be expected. Everyone on our trip could not say enough about this years experience, and needless to say we will more than likely be booking this again next year!!!

I booked Regatta Bay in January 2015, my wedding was 2/20/16. The back locker rooms were to be at our disposal pre-cocktail hour so that we would be able to get dressed and ready. The coordinator at Regatta Bay and I had agreed that cocktail hour would start around 5:30 (since that is when sunset was) on the back patio. Then guests would move inside to have dinner and dancing. During cocktail hour the groom and I would take pictures outside on the golf course.On the day of my wedding, I arrived at regatta bay to see all of my guests crowded in the foyer. Once my groom and I went on to the golf course to take pictures, I understood why. There were a bunch of random golfers on the back patio. We arrived at around 5:37. Then as my maid of honor went to place our bags/stuff down in the locker rooms she walked in on a golfer half naked trying to change. Then as my groom and I were taking pictures on the golf course a golfer came over rudely asking us to leave/move because he was trying to finish golfing. Then my DJ informed me that he was told to put the dance floor on the back patio. Because of this, the groom’s grandparents had to watch our first dance through the windows inside (they’re pretty old and unable to go up and down a lot of stairs). Thank god for the DJ because after that he was able to quickly move it inside. Now ordinarily this wouldn’t be a huge deal, but my groom’s parents happen to be dead so his grandparents are like his parents now.When confronting the coordinator she stated she had no idea about the golf tournament that was going on and she had just found out about it the day of the wedding. So either A) you suck at your job in the fact that you didn’t know about the golf tournament and therefore shouldn’t be put in charge of events or B) you double booked and collected money from the golfers AND me, capitalizing on both and ruining my wedding day which I can never get back.If your wedding day means anything to you, don’t book at Regatta Bay. It looks like a nice establishment but you don’t get what you pay for. Might as well go book your wedding in a barn, at least you would walk into it expecting a lower quality and paying less money for it.

Favorite course on the Emerald Coast. Beautiful greens, great landscaping and views along the Bay. Staff is awesome and courteous!

Challenging course. Well kept. Seemed a bit upidy since it is essentially a private members course that lets the public play too. Had an issue with my ATM card saying it wouldnt take it. The guy made me feel a bit uncomfortable like I was trying to pass this off. I told him it worked all week. Walk over to atm and pulled money out in front of this guy with no problem. They need to get there card reader fixed. After that BS I Played golf at 4:30 ish by myself with the plan to get as many holes as possible in. Dark earlier now and he said I wouldnt make it but charged for 18. Would think he would charge me for 9. Not impressed with customer service there at all. Played other courses on area and even though with all the hype, liked it least. Maybe the ATM issue got under my skin. Bad start.

Great course, fantastic staff. Terrible food, at a course as expensive as Regatta Bay I would expect better quality of food. Our group order hotdogs at the turn (not the most high faluting food, I know) we received the most bland barely edible wieners Ive ever had, and to top it off the buns were stale. The service is always impeccable, from the Gate to the Pro shop and beyond, but why do they serve bad food?! Ive had other meals here and wasnt impressed. Ill go back, but with a packed lunch. Dont get the hotdogs they are yucky.
