A pleasant place for a family hike. Plenty of water fowl (geese and ducks) and signs of predators (rabbit head and another skull). The trails are in great shape with solid drainage on a fairly wet day. Some gorgeous, giant Plains Cottonwood trees and Narrow Leaf Cottonwoods. Lots of adventures for my 3 and 4 year olds.

Walking in the morning in this place is gratifying, appreciate the climate of the beginnings of autumn where the warm air and the sky dance with the welcome of the birds in your path is to thank one more day of life.

Nice park to walk to the dogs in the area. Or a little small, but theyre are a couple short trails to get off the pavement for a bit. The lake is nice, and always abuzz with ducks or geese. The dog park is lacking in that the dog water is outside the park, and unavailable in the wintertime. Ive also lost a TON of balls over the fence as they put a bunch of hills inside (which is great for dogs, not so good for bouncy balls!)

Im a tourist looking for a nice park to enjoy for a few hours. Other towns need to take note, this is how you design a park and a community. Separated paved and dirt trails from main traffic. Linking all the nearby housing, 2 schools as they are also a cornerstone of a community, and a fire department. You can tell some serious thought went into this area, kudos to city planning.Didnt go inside the main building, but the trail around the lake was great, skate park was a bit small but well laid out. Though I had more fun just exploring the trails.

Took the kids for a fun filled Saturday afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My boys played basketball on the open court while I got to take a stroll around the park. My only qualm would be the lack of toilet tissue in the ladies room. Well definitely return though (equipped with my own handy dandy tissue roll!)

Not a bad dog park. A little small, and doesnt have any water for the dogs on the inside. There is a water fountain outside of the park but the knobs had been removed. Good park over all especially if you are looking for a place to throw a ball for your dog. I strongly recommend bringing water and poop bags.

A little on the small side as far as play areas go, but it has lots of amenities: skate park, large pond w ducks, woodpeckers, blue herons, etc., rec center w pool, football field, bball courts, and tennis courts. There are also a couple of trails around the pond, paved and gravel. The only thing missing is an open grass field for kiting, picnics, etc.

Amazing park! I wish we had one like this close to me home. We visited Denver and walked the parks trails. Its well cared for, has so much natural landscape and such beautiful ponds and trails. It has a rock bridge for crossing on foot. Great for all family members - it has something for everyone!!!

What is the point of paying for the lights to turn on weeks(months?) in advanced if you dont turn it on for us? We reserved a soccer field and put in a lot of effort to figure out the logistics of getting many people from all over the state to come play. Not to mention the double confirmation calls during the week of to the officials who were insistent that the lights would be on at 7:10 pm. We stayed till 8:30 pm in hopes the lights would turn on, and it did not. We hope we get at least a full refund, but can you incompetent folks compensate us for the time and efforts involved in organizing our event? Terrible city organization. Seriously, if you simply did this well, you would have had our loyal business for years to come and received many referrals. Now, due to the lack of simply doing youre job, you will not only lose future business from our organization but every network of players who were present. Incompetency has a price. I will personally ask every discontent player and fan who was present today to write a negative review. Way to ruin our holiday weekend.

Its a nice park, we enjoy the lake, birds, playground and water fountains but we particularly werent fond of the local teens hanging around after their time at the recreation center. Like any other groups of teenagers, they were loud, aggressive, and foul mouthed in front of younger children as well as attempting to break play equipment. The teens are the only reason we wont be returning anytime soon.
