Not to mention that they have cranes ducks geese and I feel like Ive even seen a pelican there. Very cool. Theres an area where people just sit in their car cant quite figure it out but its a thing there...

Garland Park is not a very nice place to be. The day that we were there there was Riff Raff and hoodlums running through the park begging for change panhandling and other things they almost need security at the park and this was happening near the ball fields. Besides the problem with the panhandling. The rest the park was a nice park very well maintain ball field.

The park is nice. It has a water reservoir, which attracts a lot of birds. If is always fun to watch them. It has a little playground for kids. And areas to play different sports (volleyball, football, soccer, tennis, etc.). What I don’t like about it is power-lines. Besides the power-lines it is an okay park.

Good park with multiple playgrounds, bathrooms, running and biking paths and a small lake. Been here a lot over the past 4 years and always looking into the water for signs of fish life. Im pretty sure there is nothing in the lake. Dont waste time fishing it. The water is really low lately and the level of pollution in there is high.

This is the site of my ultimate Frisbee games, and I love these fields! We can fit 4 ultimate (similar size to a soccer field) fields on the flat area here. They also have running/biking trails, tennis courts, softball fields and a lake. Theres a lot to do at Garland park! The only complaint I have is parking can get difficult because the parking by the fields is all street parking.

We rented a picnic area for the day and it was nicely shaded. However, there were chicken bones and rib bones littering the ground that I had to pickup by hand to keep my dogs from getting them, and this was extremely frustrating. Volleyball courts are nice, playground is solid, and lots of parking and walking trails. Will go back, will expect there to be bones.

Its a large and pretty park with water, which can be a treat in Denver. There is plenty of parking on the north and east sides, even when the field is in use. However, I am not from this neighborhood and ultimately did not feel comfortable even getting out of my vehicle to hang out on the grass. After parallel parking at the front of a line of cars, another vehicle pulled in front and backed so close to my vehicle that they had to access their trunk from the side. The person looked at me through my windshield twice with a what can I do? smile. I had to R-D-R-D-R-D out of the space, though parking was plentiful. I resisted the urge to throw a water balloon, but I did feel very bothered by the interaction. I wont return, but maybe that was the intention. 4 stars in case that driver was an exception to an otherwise lovely and conscientious neighborhood.

This is an awesome park. Its HUGE, and has places for many different activities. There are sand volleyball courts, softball fields, tennis courts and a basketball court. A nice paved walking, biking path and psyched off trees for shade. We especially liked the big pond and the very modern playground that had a fun tree house theme to it. Lots of fun to be had here for all ages.

Nice big park. Tried fishing but absolutely no luck. Very windy today. Very, very disappointing that the bathrooms were closed! Please explain what a senior citizen is supposed to do when theres no bathroom? Seriously? Its not like its the dead of winter - the grass is still green for goodness sake! How about figuring out a way to leave the bathroom open since this park not close to any public establishments where a person could use the restroom. Come on - fix this situation! Employees are still available to open and close the doors daily for the convenience of the park visitors.

This is a great local park in Virginia Village, a neighborhood in south-east Denver. Garland Park is located at the intersection of Holly and Cherry Creek Drive & is directly adjacent to McMeen Elementary School. The park features a large body of water entitled Lollipop Lake. As well as its walkways that encircle the lake and traverse throughout the whole of the park, situated upon its highest point there is an engeniusly positioned playground. There is also a small facilities building which includes seasonally operatiobal bathrooms, water fountains & has storage area for landscapeing/maintenance equipment. Garland Park is local landmark and all those who visit the area will enjoy their time there & theyre sure to never to forget the Lollipop Lake!

I would give this park five stars if theyd just clean up the debris around the park and clean the playground equipment more quickly when necessary. There was literal vomit on one of the pieces of equipment for three days and two weeks later you could still see the outline, like it had dried and flaked off but never been cleaned.
