Great place. Every Sunday the place is rented out and turned into Cornerstone Church. Family oriented. I love Sunday service there.

Went here last summer with my daughter and she is counting down the days until the pool opens again this year. Its small, but great for younger kids and there is a deep pool also for adults and older kids. The water temperature was good and not too cold, and the facilities are clean. The staff and lifeguards were very friendly and helpful.

This is my rec from times past. So welcoming. And theres 2 adjacent courts outside with the famous pool. Its certainly a mainstay and definitely worth the hours of fun offered. At least three professional sized fields, work out equipment and two jungle gyms!

Loved the pool area. The deep pool is 12 and 1/2 feet deep, with a full size spring diving board. Also in the kids pool there is a water slide and a whirl pool area. The actual building is good as well.

If you aint got your hood card, dont bother. Trust me. Other then that we ball over here. Theres a very large weight room. Plus the staff is great. Its a very good community center. Everytime I go theyre feeding people, who need fed. Keep up the good work La Alma.

Came here for a self defense classes offered by the DPD. It was awesome! The rec staff were really kind. Awesome to see how the neighborhood has become quite nice too!

Pool seems nice but Ill never know because the management used a telescope to spot lightning somewhere over Utah and deemed that as good evidence to close the pool and resume jerking off.

Weight room equipment is barely maintained. staff just sits there and chats all day. They did not try to break up a fight I was having with a psycho. Im not coming back because this place is trash compared to the rec centers up north east.

Best place to go, and get your workout on. Its very peaceful, cool staff, fun place. Also free showers on certain days for homeless.

Absolutely disgusting how the manager of this place (last name Medina) treats the kids that go in there. This is supposed to be a safe place for children and that creep followed and 11 and 9 year old talking stuff as if he was going to fight them. What a poor excuse for a man. I’d be ashamed if I raised a man to be like that.

Very sad that such a nice neighborhood pool is out of control with bad behavior. My sons and I have gone to this pool the last three years and it has progressively gotten worse each summer. Today in the span of one hour there we over heard at least 3 people wanting to get into fights, talk of gang affiliations, drug deals and overall crude language. We ended up having to leave earlier then planned because of violent threats from other patrons when we tried to help their injured child. It is not family friendly and it is dangerous. I hope the city takes note and makes this facility safe and accessible for all citizens!!!

Great place to hang out in the park and enjoy the sunshine. There seems to be a good community presence here with lots of families with kids.

The staff at this center are among the rudest people I have ever met. They have yelled at me to not show up do close to closing despite the fact I promised to make it quick. My phone was stolen here while I was taking a shower. Not one staff member offered to help me try to locate it, report it nothing.Instead they threw me out because they didnt like that I was so upset and showing it. I called the head of Denver recreation through the 311 & city help line but they couldnt call me back because I had no phone. I called them and they told me I could continue to go to any Rec Center in Denver. However I was denied entrance again. I have called the head honchos again to try to straighten this out.Channel 7 is following the story also. I will let everybody know what happens. In the meantime steer clear of this horrible place a very mean spirited individual runs named Chris and his flunky ass. Manager run very poorly.

They have lots of places to shop

I walked in after checking out the park outside. My 6 year old needed to use the bathroom. We were both denied access as there are no public restrooms. What?? I asked again. The excuse was drug addicts use the bathroom so they are trying to stop that. I told him I am a 58 year old man with a 6 year old that needs to use the bathroom and I am not a drug addict. I was again denied.

That Park used to be cool even for the children but today drug dealers and fighting drunks homeless kind of really messed up that park with the children playing in the park our eyes have to be fast on them because theres so many things going on around that park now it is growing around so is that Park safe for children anymore?

This is My local gym, Squat racks are nice, barbell bench is meh, all other pieces are new and nice, replaced in June of 2017. Plates and clips Arent great, a mix of old and older. Hours are not great. I suppose that’s to be expected given the limited number of people using the facility. to be expected for intended use of the facility-- lots of kids using the place, that’s cool.Membership is by far the cheapest in the neighborhood. Worth paying if you are looking for a decent weight selection, some cables, and a adjustable squat cage. The big guys up front are kind enough - they don’t really do or say much. Except when someone is deadlifting, they’ll comment about that.

Place had a very strange vibe to it. I think I will stick to Rude center down the block.

Used to be great, family-like, but everyone is gone now :(
