Came to Redline today for their monthly Brown Bag Lunch discussion. The event was held in their library and gathered artist advocates from a variety of organizations for a talk on issues facing artists and venues. Before the event I had a chance to walk around and view some of the art on display. This is an art gallery/workspace for artists. The display art was unique and interesting for their theme (something about corporate life, I think). There were also various workspaces for the member-artists to create their pieces, as well. There were few parking spaces in the area that werent street side, so access might be an issue on a busier day.Everyone I spoke with was extremely friendly and open. Id definitely return, assuming my schedule is accommodating.

Went with a friend to see her kids school who did some art. Absolutely wonderful place, its great to see that they have an open door policy for the students who work their so they can create with one another. Also I might be going down for some free art classes for the homeless.Bought two small pieces of art that were done by a homeless woman. So amazing

A unique and interesting gallery/ venue space. Many of the installation pieces at the time of my visit were digital animation shown through a projector and displayed on the wall. The whole building has that artistic and creative vibe that makes you want to stay and examine each piece. Its great that Denver has so many artistic outlets, I want to explore them all.

This former warehouse has been beautifully remodeled into a huge gallery space surrounded by about 16 studio spaces for resident artists. A wide variety of programs combine youth education and community outreach with artist residency and exhibitions. There is a strong focus on social change and response to the local neighborhoods.

A must go place in Denver! Redline is a non profit community-oriented art space. The exhibits are well curated and feature local artists. The space is fully accessible (ramps, wide rooms, accessible gender neutral bathrooms, have a parking lot). Redline allows the community to rent out various rooms for events! And Redline is so generous that they even givw space to some nonprofits for free. They are staffed by lovely, hardworking, and caring people. Highly recommended.

Brand new to the area, about a week into living here. Heard nice things about this place, walked by and was appalled to see a huge tent city full of trash and pollution, as well as 6 large men arguing and one had a gun out threatening another.I am a young woman going to metro who is 18. I was scared for my life and called 911. please do not allow this to happen to your property, it is such a shame. I am minoring in art visual art and would love to make this place my new home, but it looks like a lot of other people who are interested in promoting crime have made it their home.I see on your webpage that you help homeless which is so needed in this day in age. But this is enabling crime. Thank you,Alexis.Feel free to contact meid love to check out this place if I can get escorted inside safety.

I drove all the way from Highlands Ranch on my one day off -with my 5yr old son, since I heard great reviews of your SAFE creative space for the community.Walking by the Arapahoe side of the street there was an entire tent town of about 7-8 tents and 10 people camping outside of tents. I feared for my own life as a single mother and my young son.I saw a drug deal happen, as clear as day outside of the building and I have footage and photos to post. I have already contacted the police, and some even arrived on the scene while we walked by! with a loudspeaker yelling at the drug users resting. I have no problem with homeless people getting by, but this is drug traffic and unsafe for a community that is trying to change. These people are not homeless by accident, it is a choice for these - as you can see very clearly with the crime rates posted on your own page/ this 5 point area/ and a local facebook page that was on channel 6 news. I will never return to redline, this is not a homeless shelter, this is beyond any right to rest. And I will make sure all my art friends know about this place and how unsanitary and unsafe it is. I own a gallery in Cherry Creek. I would love to speak to the owner of the building, not the manager, and since you are non profit I will research your investors to give them my footage and video. I am getting to the bottom of this unnecessary dangerous conditions, right across from a charter school to boot!caution do not go here day or night alone or with kids! not safe not kid or single woman friendly at all!

This is an updated review. I have seen quite a lot of exhibitions here. All of them I have enjoyed. For being only a single level, they pack in as much as they can. It still is small but I dont see it as being negative. The only negative is the last time I came by which was a couple months ago and when I was leaving, there was a homeless woman who approached me. I had got an Uber and she opened the passenger door to the car and I was unsure what she was going to do. I thought maybe she thought she was going to go with me or something so I quickly told her she isnt going with me anywhere and then she moved out of the way. But then she asked the Uber driver and myself for money. I dont give money to the homeless or panhandlers but the Uber driver gave her some change. There needs to be something done about the homeless population around RedLine because I would hate to stop coming due to it.

Redline is a rare example of how creatives thrive in a thoughtful environment that is conceived, created and developed with the full trajectory of an artist/creative in mind. Every time I visit I am pleasantly surprised to experience new art and stortytelling that is unique and engaging. I use Redline as a model during my lectures on the creative economy here in Colorado and beyond. GH

First I want to address the one star NIMBY review by Jessica below. Im a mother, who along with many other mothers and women, who go to Redline regularly and feel totally safe visiting the AMAZING Redline. Its in fact a haven for women and children who want to explore the arts. Ive never seen drug dealers, experienced any harrasment, or bevies of homeless marauders. Jessica clearly has anouther agenda(buy new condos downtown and demand empty suburb streets sans people of color). Please dont hesitate to visit Redline. I wouldnt want you to miss out on a great experience and fantastic cause.

Previous reviews on RedLine are outdated, so dont let them spoil your opinion before you give this place a try. RedLine was very new and getting its footing when previous commenters visited or rented the space and has since grown and blossomed into a premier artspace with international exhibitions and local contemporary shows alike. The resident artist program allows visitors to look in on the studios of professional artists, see what theyre working on, and sometimes chat with the artists themselves. Educational and community programming provides art and culture for all ages and demographics, from 3-year-olds to adults, from art-making and figure drawing to curating and yoga. The staff (different personnel than previous commenters encountered) is knowledgable, enthusiastic, and helpful. Many events, programs, and rentals fill the space in the evenings and on weekends. Admission is donation-based, which means that no matter what your budget is, you can afford to enjoy RedLine, and there are lots of ways to get involved in the community through its volunteer program, events, or other opportunities. I really encourage checking out the space, or if you went a couple years ago, try it again!
