What can I say about this place. I grew up cleaning this place with my family. First time I paid to go inside the movie was great. Popcorn was fresh. And the butter was hot!All the new upgraded are super cool. Once I got in I was rushed with a lot of memories! Thanks for all the good memories I have with my family here. Cant wait to come back.

Loved this 5 screen movie theatre. It generally shows first run art films and certainly first run movies. It hosts m as my special events. Adult admission is $6.00 until 5 pm. Free parking.

Gotta give 5 stars for this theater playing the latest indie and art house films. Concessions a steal! Cash box office but they have made exceptions for me. Usually a good crowd thats quiet and into cinema.

Current movies are showing as well as special events such as ballet, opera and foreign films. They have hearing aids available at no charge. The kids behind the counters are polite and helpful. This place really adds to our community. Senior rates are $6.00 which is a true bargain these days.

They are one of the few area cinemas that exhibit slightly off the center first run films but at what cost. Depressing, drab interior with less than properly maintained seating and flooring. The price is right, though.

A cultural treat beyond anything in Delray Beach. The selections are so far above the large budget films...what else can I say? avoid Sundays as crowds are a bit much..Seating up front is surprisingly comfortable and easy, especially when there are subtitles which is frequent..a delight!

Mondays are good for less crowded conditions if you go in the afternoon. The interior was updated last year and comfortable/attractive interior etc. They get the latest movies including opera and art films. Usual refteshments plus wine and beer also available.

It was my first time visiting this theater. Typical theater. It was clean and the popcorn was fresh. Staff wasnt all that friendly, especially the lady selling tickets. But other than that good experience.

No ceiling lighting to help guide people to there seats! Would be best to have dimmers during the show.

Theater is newly renovated. The seats are very comfortable.they always have a great lineup of newly released films, foreign films and independent films. Try to catch one of the offerings hosted by Shelly Isaacs. Interesting discussion before and after.they also show simulcast of Opera and Broadway. Ticket prices and concession snacks are reasonably priced

Cool little theater with friendly people. It has a bar with alcohol when you walk in which is nice. Its not like a high-end IMAX or those other chain theaters but its very nice to catch one of the picture shows. Ill be back

The seats need to be upgraded theyre as hard as rocks hafe way through I was in psin very uncomfortable, instead of investing in electronic posters they should be redoing the seats instead you cant enjoy a movie when all you can think about is the lousy lumpy chair that you cant wait to get off of and never see again! It used to pass but that was people didnt know any better, but now of things change.

Great movies, comfortable seating. Did not receive 5 stars because all movies start the same time. This means that the movie goers are either standing in the rain or the heat waiting in line to get in. Strange arrangement

Best of movies at a very affordable price. I go there atleast twice a fortnight. Not the cleanest but its tolerable.

Beware only take cash! No debt cards. Had to go dollar tree to get cash. Not convient. Small theatre. The only thing was ok was price 6.00 bucks. But to only except cash is crazy!

I really shouldnt do this because most likely by giving them a good rating Im going to be waiting in line longer than usual but on the other hand its an old theater but its great the movies are current and the price is lower than the fancy theaters that are out there. The seats are excellent

We love going to the movies and Movies of Delray is literally 5 minutes from our home. It is a homey place that not only has interesting foreign and Independent films for just $6, but offers the Met Opera series and other Fathom events for only $20 a ticket. In my estimation, Movies of Delray is the best and most reasonable entertainment source in the neighborhood. We are blessed to have it so close to home.

Aging small theater in an aging area. Prices were reasonable though for show times and concessions. Staffing was limited so during peak times expect a line with to get in and for concessions. No stadium seating but the screens are mounted high enough it shouldnt affect your view. Theater seemed clean and well maintained. You can also get wine and beer in addition to regular goodies. Note: Bring cash or buy a lot. They do not accept credit/debit for purchases under $20.

A gem of a little theater! The decor is beautiful and the seats are quite comfortable. The tickets were surprisingly cheap (nearly half my local theater) without any loss of quality. It seems to play more independent/art house films. Wish I had somewhere like this in my town

Good movies and inexpensive.

Nice theatre, but every movie started at the same time, so huge line to buy tickets. Took 3 people to deal with our Movie Passes. Good popcorn, nice clear projection and good sound.

This theater can be a decent value. Come here knowing two key things: one, they *DO NOT* take credit cards; and two, it is an old theater, so do not come expecting a modern cinema experience.That being said, the place is locally-owned and the owners actually thanked us for coming. That was a nice touch. Would I go back? Probably not, simply because I prefer big screens and stadium seating. But, it wasnt terrible and for those looking for a good value, this place fits the bill.

Great place to enjoy new movies for cheaper. They only take cash before a certain time which we found out the hard way. Dont expect an elaborate Cinemark theater-more a local little fun theater.

Good prices for snacks and drinks and ticket prices. The theatre is a little bit dated but still good.

Its a nice little movie theater and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, they play foreign films youve never heard of him probably dont want to see and independent movies youve never heard of in dont want to see. The snack selection is abysmal. They could improve a few things and make this place so much better.

The place was nice, but when the movie was almost starting, a BIG screen says to shut off your phones. Not sure if the old fokes can see that or just ignorant. During the movie there phones are ringing. Rude.

Inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Theater filled with elderly folks who talk much during the film. No stadium seating.

Interesting film selections, not a fancy cinema. During quiet moments, sound bleeds from the adjacent film.

They show a lot of indie films. Its not the prettiest of theaters in the area. But I will be going back up to the Delray from Tamarac to see what is shown there. GREAT MOVIES! ugly theater.

Update: I had left a review 3 years ago and have since been back. They have renovated this theater and it is wonderful. The prices are low and the staff is very friendly. It is no secret so you will likely see a lot of people there.

Honestly has to be one of the best movie theaters Ive ever been to. The whole atmosphere is substantially immersive. I went in to watch a war movie and by the end it was as if everyone in the room had died as well. 5/5

CASH ONLY! Once the lady in the box office finishes her text message, then she will acknowledge that you are standing at the window. If youre looking for an indie film, this is one of the few options in Palm Beach County.

I probably average going to this theatre at least 30 - 40 times a year for showings including The National Theatre and Shelley Isaacs foreign films on Thursday mornings. Unfortunately, last night my husband and I went to see BOUNDARIES which is a movie that the theater had previewed. The movie was vulgar and stupid. We decided that we couldnt sit through another minute and requested a refund or complimentary tickets. We were rudely told that we chose the film, too bad. Although I rarely have left a film early, other theaters do make the customer whole if he/she is not satisfied with the film.

A nicely redone older theater.

They certainly know their market. The movies they show here are tailored to the older Jewish community and the film we saw had closed captions to help. The theaters are long and narrow but projection and sound quality was fine, even from the back.
