What a lovely, winding prairie path! Perfect length and level for our 3 year old, yet engaging enough for our 8 year old. Well-manicured grassy paths, cute little bridges over babbling brooks, fun wildlife to discover. And a horse pasture nearby to say hi to our equestrian friends. Very gentle, easy hills and well-placed benches to rest or rehydrate. Well definitely be back!

Very clean and grass trails maintained. Hiking could average about an hour or more depending on pace

Not as many trees as I thought. You can see houses from pretty much anywhere on the terribly-kept trail. Good for walking dogs but hardly a nature preserve.

Beautiful views, quiet and lots of birds. One of our favorite spots as a family to have a picnic and take a nice walk.

Lots of butterflies and wildflowers. It is a nice relaxing experience. I would bring bug spray for the mosquitos, but otherwise had a nice time.

Lots of sunflowers lining the paths. Nice peaceful walk. Good for dogs.

Great place to walk with surprising hill climbs for the area.

Wish they had markers explaining wild life and plant life. Otherwise very nice to visit

Clean, well maintained trails and beautiful vegitation. Much better in person than viewed from satellite.

Nice off leash area in the north portions of the forest preserve (during ground bird nesting season in the spring, Merritt is 100% on leash).

Loved the old Town Hall is still there.

Rustic no restrooms or water. Nicely groomed trails through the prairie.
