I was pleasantly surprised by this. We have lived in the area a while and I dont think I knew exactly where it was. Its amazing what Glidden did for the town, community and beyond with his invention and dedication. They had souper Tuesday and my granddaughter and I sat down with others with great soup, cornbread and fruit. I appreciate their knowledge and hospitality here!
Been here once but it was closed. I could only walk by the front of the house and garden. Its only a 5-minutes stop, if you deem it worth your time to visit. There are some photos posted on this review section by other people who have visited- and thats about all I saw, too. No interior home photos, just pictures of the outside of the house.
Interesting place to see what an old hardly changed by the centuries homestead looks like. Plus you get to learn about how barbed wire changed the American farmland.
This is not to be missed. A Dekalb gem that is well worth a visit.
