This tour was soooo eye opening. You never realize what all goes into making a vehicle, all the people, moving parts. It was a truly amazing tour. Our guide was amazing as well. I wish I could have remembered her name. It did feel a little rushed but was a really enjoyable tour. I walked out wanting to get a new truck!

Cool factory with lots to see. Entrance fee was not too expensive. Corny video about Fords, felt like I was watching a Ford commercial.Tour guide gave us lots of in-depth knowledge of the plant and its history. Being able to see the assembly line for trucks were cool on its own.

This was a very cool and educational visit. I like how the short video they show you actually mentions some of the issues with the strikes in the past. The F150 plant is very nice and advanced. I had two issues with the tour. The first: the guide was very smug about how GM and FCA accepted the bailouts. The second: they try to make it seem like ford basically invented automation and robotics in car manufacturing, which was funny because every robot in the plant had japanese branding on it. It was the americans that learned from the japanese with automation. Other than that, the tour is worth the price of admission.

The videos were good. If you dont like loud and strobe lights, then you will have a difficult time with 2nd video. Well set up and easy walking. Would be easy to access with wheel chair. Most sections you are not permitted to use camera, video, or cell phones.

No photos allowed in the factory, so all my pictures are cars in the lobby and views from the observation deck. The first 2 parts of the 4 part tour are a movie and multimedia presentation, designed for school age kids, but they are brief, so even if you dont find them riveting, youll be on to the good stuff shortly. Part 3 is an enclosed observation area on the roof, where you can see a metal fabrication plant in the distance, then a stamping and cutting plant, followed by a paint facility, and finally the assembly plant. The highlight is part 4 - a catwalk that extends around the perimeter of the actual plant, letting you watch fully customized builds take place as pickup truck cabs, doors, and beds all make their way through the process. The best part, in my opinion, was having friendly, knowledgeable Ford employees stationed along the catwalk, able to both describe what was happening at individual stations, and answer questions. The amount of organization for having the right parts flagged for the specific vehicle appearing at a station is staggering. The combination of descriptions of what was happening and getting questions answered as we watched the work being done made for an absolutely compelling tour.

I am a Henry Ford Museum Member and I have visited this place more than 8 times. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME, I am just so moved after watching the first two movies.. The movies along with the content, the history of the company and the plant, the vehicles, the passion of employees at the plant who make the F-150 make me feel so emotional and proud that I work for the Blue Oval. This is definitely a must-see for anyone in the Detroit metropolitan area and visitors from all around the globe. The scale of the operation which takes place is something left to the imagination of the visitors.Just imagine the F-150 and its size. Imagine a plant so big and efficient that a brand new F-150 is coming out of the plant every minute!!

Great educational experience for kids on field trips & adults. Amazing Ford F-150 presentation. Ride up to the top and learn about the factory grounds. They grow gardens on the roof tops. Tour the assembly line and see how cars are put together. Bravo to those working the line! They do the same repetitive move all day long.

We wound down our visit to the Motor City as we took the Ford Rouge Factory Tour, the worlds largest manufacturing complex at one time employing 100,000 workers. Few photos allowed inside and absolutely no photos allowed of their assembly line! We were really impressed at their efficiency, where they build their Ford F-Series Trucks. They currently have 4,000 workers, 2 shifts a day of 1,000 workers, four 10 hour days, with 3 days off, 1 truck is built every minute or 60 per hour, 600 per shift! 7,200 trucks per week all are pre-sold and built per the customers specifications. Ford Built Tough! GO USA! Well worth the cost and your time to tour! Manufacturing is still alive and going strong in America!

This an amazing tour done at Ford, here you will attend 3 halls during each you will discover something about the company from history till modern state. At hall2 you will love the 3D show for the truck F150.Me and my brother attended the tour with an electric Engineer (Ali Yassin) who recommended it, and we never regret it.After the 3 videos in each hall you will be allowed to go around the factory while the trucks being assembled (for our bad luck we went at a holiday, so we went inside but no trucks on assembly tracks )You can take professional photo at the end of your tour and you can buy gifts while exiting.Parking is available, photos and mobile use is not allowed always (they will strictly inform when you are not allowed to do)

All I can say is it is really cool to see. Once inside of Rogue you get to watch a few documentaries to make you aware of the history of the plant. Once that is finished you are taken to an area that basically robots and a laser light show happen in front of you, it is indescribable to say what I saw. Needless to say, it was fascinating. After that is completed you are allowed to watch the complete assembly of an F150. To me, I had zero idea of how they were actually assembled, what went into it, and the people that are able to do that job. I give it to the actual factory workers and doing a job that I would never be able to do. Plenty of factory workers that I believe are retired that you can ask them about each station you see from the sky platform/catwalk. You even get to see the final inspection when they come off the assembly line.Eventually, you go to an up into a sky view of the plant. They have a Ford representative there that explains to you about the overview of the plant, the line in the parking lot. This was well worth the time to watch and see what they have to offer.

This place offers a wonderful experience to see the manufacturing of the ford pickup van F150 as some piece of steel transform into a absolute piece of engineering. The two video about the history of ford motors and the innovation of F150 are also crafted and present beautifully. Don’t miss it if you are visiting nearby. It could have been more enjoyable if they would allow to photograph and preserve some memories of the visit .

Informative but costly experience. Happened to be there on Easter weekend, and the tour guide did not let us know upfront, that workers would have shortened hours, so we did not get to see assembly in action, which was very dissapointing! The tour leaves from the Ford museum and lasts about 2 hours, where you would have to spend up to an hour in the tour bus that gets you from the museum to the plant and back to the museum. Not allowed to take pictures of the assembly line! The tour includes a short documentary, then a short stop at the lookout on rooflevel of the plant( Green roof), assembly line and a small museum on plant premises.

I liked the factory tour, which lets you see how the most sold vehicle in the States is assembled and how the process is seamless, but also, the two theater shows at the beginning were fantastic. The first one shows the history of the factory, while the second one... well, I wont say much so I wont spoil it, so its better if you discover it yourself ;)

The tour was really interesting. Several reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star: 1. There is NO mention of Edsel Ford in the videos. It’s almost like he was intentionally left out. It was all about Henry. 2. I almost had hearing damage from how loud the videos were - bring earplugs.Overall it was very fascinating!!

The tour begins with a bus ride from the visitor center at The Henry Ford then after arriving at the plant, continues with two videos. The first offers a historical perspective of Ford and the Rouge facility, and the second is a cool laser/sound show featuring the F150.After the videos you go to an observation area on the roof where you can see the entire complex, stamping plant, paint facilities, the living roof on the assembly plant and even the Ford World Headquarters in the distance. This is not a full plant tour, you dont see any chassis assembly or body build up, but it overlooks part of the trim area and is an accurate representation of what the assembly process is like.

Horrible experience! Would not recommend anybody to endanger there family on the shuttle busses for the factory tour. They are Sub contracted out to People’s Transit of Romulus. —Speeding 50 mph in a 25mph zone— Running up on cars until they moved over.—Cornering at a dangerous speedI had to confront the bus driver on our trip about his driving behavior. The 20 guest on the bus where scared and thanked me for demanding him to slow down!! I believe him to be on some type of drug by his behavior.Henry Ford, Rouge Factory tour when first confront at the front desk said “there not part of us. You will have to fill out a comment form.” Never addressing the driver at the time but instead letting him endanger more lives.I don’t like writing reviews but had to when my 8 year old son was scared to ride the school bus when we got home. He asked “what if the bus driver starts bouncing me around and I can’t hold on”.Rouge factory tour representative after calling and emailing. “The bus driver has been with us a long time”, “we will look into this”
