Park with playground and several benches, both covered and uncovered. Lifeguard station on the beach right in front of the park. To access the beach, you take the stairs at the back of the park, which also provide a little bit of shade down on the beach. You can also drive on Daytona Beach, but it’s not accessible from this park. Bathrooms are decent and there’s also an outdoor shower and foot wash located at on the sidewalk after you come back from the beach. Parking is free.

Beautiful park! Right next to Corporate Station for Lifeguards! Great place for kids to play and have fun! Seagulls frequent for seeded bread from tourists! Please no moldy bread though!

I live right by here and love to bring my daughter, but all the homeless people in the south end right by the splash pad are getting out of hand. They’re laying all over the family picnic area. It’s be nice if the city could clean up public areas

It has a pretty large free parking lot, with access to the beach, quite a few bathrooms and showers where you can wash the sand off. The beach is a flight of stairs away, and its Daytona Beach so what more could you ask for.

Its a shame that this wonderful park has become the haven for homeless folks. Unfortunately, the city of Daytona Beach cannot do much since it is a county property. Too much drugs and alcohol going on there. Looks like the homeless found a loophole and Volusia County isnt stepping up. Signs only go so far. I dont think they care about rules.

The best view Ive seen yet. The beach was so clear and the sea was not salty like coco beach. The breeze there is amazing

Great place to park if theyve closed off beach access or you want to save the beach access fee of $20. Showers at the bottom of the stairs to rinse the salt water off and the upper deck has the spouts to rinse your feet if needed. Its also fun for the little ones to play in. Benches and a couple grills available at times if nobody is using them. Only downside is the idiots that like to take up two spaces or park over the lines.

We visited from St Pete with our 4 kids. Original vacation was a week which we extended to 2 weeks and the splash park was amazing. Kids loved it and it was well kept.

Had my daughters birthday party there, it was nice as you could be in the splash park as well as enjoy the beach. There are grill areas and picnic tables.

Always crowded on the weekends...Just too many homeless there asking you for money, food and ice in the summer...Probably the least maintained park beach side...

I always come here when I want to chill on Daytona Beach. Reasonable distance to the pier/boardwalk, but far enough away that its dark and silent at night. You can usually find a parking spot. Hidden gem, really

Great park, Great use of tax money BUT it’s not safe for families. The homeless population had table top grills set up, loitering under all the shelters, laying in front of bathrooms etc. A family showed up to have a picnic in one of the picnic tables and everyone of the homeless / transit population refused to get up so they could use the facilities. It was very disappointing and I could never allow my wife/son to visit here alone. I was on guard the entire time

Sun Splash Park is always a nice place that usually has clean & well stocked restrooms. We go there often and would recommend it to anyone but I wont this time because parking is hard to find on nice days LOLSorry I forgot to get pics of the park area but did get a few pics of the ocean part of that area

It was pretty cool, I went with a friend of mine and his kid. What stank is the bathrooms closed at like 5:30, but then again we were told to exit beach by 5:30 as well...

Coolest seesaw at playground, enjoyed strolling along the beach with family and caught a glimpse of lifeguard training exercises. Fun time!

The park was well maintained. The lady maintaining the park was friendly. They had out door showers which was wonderful. The bathrooms were what you would expect at a beach. But the view could not be beat.

This is a fun, family friendly beach. My wife, toddler, and I had a lot of fun in the ocean and the beach is very spacious. They have a simple splash pad and a small playground for toddlers and kids. My only complaint is that the bathrooms arent kept up very well.

Too many vagrants lurking and smoking in the only area for washing the sand off of your feet and legs. The water was okay, but not really pretty. I dont plan to return any time soon.

My daughter and I grabbed lunch and just set in the parking lot with all our car windows down taking in the fresh cool salty Sea air. It was so relaxing but surprisingly few people were at the beach hanging out that afternoon. The weather was beautiful and the children were laughing and playing at the water splash park and on the playground. People were just chilling. It really is a great place to have fun and enjoy the Florida . Check it out and have a family picnic. Yes, Sun Splash Park has a small picnic area with grills. Enjoy!

I love this park because its free to park, bbq food, use the restrooms and the beach all at one convenient park.. Open from sunrize to sun set.. Ill be bringing our kids here for a weekend get away.. Excellent Beach with clear water and white sand. Best choice for a sunny day. Parking is free. You can find many hotels and restaurants along side the Daytonas beach. We had a blast. We loved this place more than Siesta key Beach. Highly recommend to visit this place.

I adore free parking close to the beach! They have a well shaded playground, grills, bathrooms, showers, splash park, and easy access to the beach. This has been my favorite way to visit Daytona beach for years.

I love this park, my family and I have been coming here for years and its free parking. Its very good place for people that also have families. It has a picnic area, a playground and a water fountain play area. The only thing some people may not like is that its quite a walk from the boardwalk and the Daytona Beach Pier, but I myself dont mind the walk. I love taking off my shoes and strolling the beach as I make my way towards the pier.️

I found this little treasure and Ive been telling my family all about it. My little grandson loved it!! This is definitely a place that we will visit again. Very clean and family oriented.

It was nice and fun, friendly and helpful lifeguards, but its not a five star because I spotted a portuguese man o war in the water (very dangerous jelly fish) we told the lifeguard about it and he shrugged it off basically saying yeah we have had a few snaller ones washing up on the shore recently, there are no warning signs saying they are there, we had to stop a guy from walking into it, if you ever bring kids here, please make sure you are in the water with them, keeping a lookout for what looks like an inflated ziploc baggie floating In the water with blue liquid inside of it it has a pink ish stripe down the back like a ziploc baggie, but look it up and look at a picture of it their stingers can be up to 50 ft long

Free parking, if you can find a spot. For some reason, the yellow curb no parking gets ignored and disrupts the flow of pedestrians. The bathrooms often smell so horrible here, and the homeless hang out here. Theres a no smoking sign, however it gets ignored. Right next to the lifeguard building for convenience!

Visiting from out of town and what started out as a relaxing day at the beach turned into gunshots 50ft away from me. I was playing in the sand with my 7yr old when I heard the first set of shots. After maybe the 2nd or 3rd shot I grabbed my son and just ran to where the rest of my family was, all just face planted in the sand watching the horror unfold as the panicked crowd screamed and ran in all directions.So grateful for our law enforcement that put themselves in danger everyday that were on the scene so fast. By the time we made it off the beach to the parking lot, Police, swat in full gear had the area surrounded. The whole thing felt surreal. I’m still in shock.We were all very fortunate to get out of the situation unharmed. Not everyone at that beach was so fortunate.Counting my blessings were all safe, but will not be returning to this beach ever again.
