Very amazing place to learn the history of Lincoln and the history of Vermilion county the people there are very nice and Go above and beyond to make you feel right at home a great place to take the kids and teach them about so many things.... a great family outing without having to leave the comfort of town the museum is completely enriched with very hands on experiences of life size antiques from the past gives a real sense of being back in time.

Having come from out of town, it is always worth it to learn about local histories, so local museums are gems. Our tour guide was great, very professional/knowledgeable of course, but also conversational so it made the learning experience even better. The exhibits provided much insight to the town for someone who was visiting for the first time. Further learning about Lincoln added additional meaning to the area. Recommend to stopping by!

Three real attraction for me was the Fithian house thats owned by the museum. Abraham Lincoln stayed in that house while he worked in Danville, IL. There are some other interesting and even spooky stories tied to this 170 years old home.
