Nice community park. If what makes you feel safe is law enforcement, this is the park you should bring the whole family to. The police presence is outlandish at this park. LAPD drives right through the park. LITERALLY! I get the community wants to be safe with patrol, but driving on the field is a bit ridiculous.

Its a tiny flat field with baseball facilities in two corners, and ringed by a dirt path of sorts. This patch of open space is in a cul-de-sac pocket of a small residential area and office buildings whose workers dont really use this park, so being tucked away has its pluses in that it doesnt feel overly used. Theres a corner area with some frames for exercise and a large shade tree which is magnificent. The concrete-lined channel of the algae-covered polluted waterway known as Ballona Creek (carrying runoff from the mountains all the way to the ocean) is the site of amazing toad calls at night during springtime if you care to listen. Most of the urban residents are deaf to that kind of nature, and are using the baseball and basketball facilities under bright lights.Given that Angelenos live with such incredibly poor public facilities and without access to open space dedicated to human and nature welfare (ironic given the vast road sizes and massive concrete parking lots here!) this park seems alright. There are a few homeless living under the bridge adjacent, that carries the Expo line trains that ply every seven minutes or less to and from downtown Los Angeles. They are the dark underbelly of that dreamy image of a sunshine state of which Californians are so proud!

Wide, grassy park with a baseball diamond and soccer pitch. Theres one tennis court everyone squabbles over and a concrete basketball court typically populated with skateboarders. Bathrooms, views of iron high rises, a passing train, the Washington Blvd Culver commercial strip and access to the Balona Wetlands bike trail are all on offer. Oh, and patio tables.

Great relaxing spot for use of courts or main large grassed area. Can find peace in a shady spot off of the main grassy lot. Very minimal people and only a bit noisy due to construction.

Love this park use it a-lot with my after school and summer camp students. No dogs are allowed on the grass area so great for picnics. Has two sets of play areas so pre school is separate from 5 upwards.

My best friend plays softball here every week and gone to see her play a few times. Our first time there, I noticed that the park isnt the easiest to navigate at night and its not well lit. Some places get VERY dark. There are fields closer to the entrance and the parking that are significantly brighter but as you drive along further (where her field was) it did get very dark. Theres a weird golf or tennis section in the back and the reason I say its weird is because its even darker and there are no signs. We found her based on her teams color. There was a surprising amount of parking at this field. The park look like it was well maintained and she didnt complain to us at all about the amenities.

Access to/from the Ballona Creek bike path which takes you all the way to Playa Del Ray. Access to/from the Expo Bike trail. Lots of space to run around, fly kites, play Spikeball, tennis courts, basketball court, softball field, as well as a small playground. Good balance of shade as well. Clean bathrooms are a plus. Lack of lighting at night is a minus.

This park is amazingly spacious, in terms of grass space. There are a lot of parks in LA, but this seemed to be made up mostly of space, which I like. There is a small picnic area, and even a basketball court, but I would suggest this place for a nice picnic, or grass sports.

Great playset. On Saturday mornings, a good amount of families go to the park and its really fun. Lots of engaging activities, a cool whale, and a mini climbing slope (not a climbing wall, a climbing slope). Ground is surprisingly soft and bouncy as well.My girlfriends 5 year old had a blast at this park and spent a good time figuring out all the different gadgets.

Nice neighborhood Park with baseball and soccer field. Popular with cyclists since its at the north terminus of the Ballona Creek bike path. Excellent for restroom and drinking fountain needs, and connecting with Venice Blvd for further urban cycling into DTLA, Griffith Park, or points north like Franklin and NIchols Canyons. Ding a point because the bathroom should be cleaned more often, but its passable and on the mens side its a three hitter.
