PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FREE PARKING. parking is 2 dollars for every 15min. First 15 min are free. This little Japanese garden style is beautiful. It definitely seems more designed for the employees of this small business complex. Super beautiful to walk through and sit down and relax. I was here on a Monday around 4pm and it was empty. A lot of wind channels through here so it can get cold. I really wish they would design more and bigger version of this peaceful oasis. Great for pictures and taking a second to relax your mind. I loved this place. The atmosphere is so precious.

One of my favorite gardens. I love it during spring/summer time because of the rows and rows of tulips in the middle of the garden. I also really like the rose garden, but I didnt see it this past Sunday when I went :( Its a perfect date spot to walk around and be in! I love the small orange bridge in the Japanese tea garden especially during spring time because thats where the Japanese cherry blossoms bloom! They also have a small train you can ride on, its pretty fun hehe.

This place is great botanical garden to visit! It is a fairly reasonable price, really beautiful! Also, a good choice to meet a nice place around Los Angeles for tourism. It is a hidden treasure in California. The place has a restaurant, restroom, gift store, tables for picnic. There is a good parking lot. You can walk around the house inside and take a look close to the windows. Enjoy! The place is reopened, but you should buy tickets by website for a while.

Beautiful and interesting garden with a forest, rocks, water, and a desert. Worth stopling by if youre in the area. The water is very clean and the trees look quite healthy. There are always people here, but it can feel tranquil due to the fountains and structures. Sitting in the benches in the forest is nice due to the shade.

Nice place to have your lunch, but not a destination in itself. The art work consists of a half a dozen pieces retracing a portrait of Southern California. Unfortunately it is sandwiched in between two corporate buildings without the scale, depth or tranquility needed to appreciate them.

Okay, I’ll be honest - I love art. But... there wasn’t much to look at here. There’s a guide to the pieces in that area, and a few games of cornhole set up around the garden, but it really didn’t seem like much of a thrilling venture. It wasn’t something to pay to park at, but cool if you’re going to the TGI Friday’s or any other building nearby.

Overall I would say that this Garden Park is interesting to see if you happen to be in the immediate area but not really worth making a special trip for. Seasons being are, one, the parking is atrocious and will set you back 12 bucks for only an hour of visitation, two, its not really a park or Garden in the sense that one would expect and is rather more like a semi tranquil area sandwiched between two high-rises built to serve the employees in an effort to keep them from going postal. Other than that, I couldnt help but feel the creators had maybe one too many Myst games and got carried away because the design and feel of the place seemed to come right out of a game.

I visited several years ago and spent time looking at each piece. Of course, titles are often an afterthought of such organic pieces as these. My partner was not so much interested in the pieces in the museum but enjoyed those in the lovely garden. I liked being here again. If you cant relate to organic oriental garden structures, skip this. If you are curious, do come to this space in a neighborhood where such a studio could be possible.

I have came here a few times over the years because there is just something so relaxing about this place. The few installations here are quite impressive and really show how art is really subjective. Even though it is a small garden, there is a lot going on here. Its best to come here when the sun is directly on top of this garden as this place is surrounded by large buildings, so the lightning can be a little bit tricky to work around. As for parking, I have parked in the cafe nearby because I came here as it was closed. Im not sure where to park legally but if you want to be safe, parking at South Coast Plaza or the nearby parking structure is fine as well.

I was looking for some hiking opportunities near my hotel during my visit in Southern California. The Wildlife walk around was perfection. While most of the displayed works came from Noguchi, a few pieces on display were created by other artists. The works are entirely abstract. I don’t recall seeing anything by him in the exhibit that one could call representative. If you let your imagination go, all kinds of things come to mind. A rather long video tells the story of his life, family, and development as an artist, but it’s worth the watch. It’s out of the way but worth the effort.

Created out of the powerful collaboration between the late, renowned sculptor Isamu Noguchi and SCP developer Henry Segerstrom, the California Scenarios sculpture garden reflects the unique alchemy that occurs in the relationship between artist and patron. The garden is more courtyard than plant life, but the forms that Noguchi created tell distinct stories about California. His Spirit of the Lima Bean is a joke on Segerstroms family history, before they turned their acres of lima bean fields into a legendary retail and real estate empire. But once you get past the joke, its still a beautiful piece, as is the water feature running through the courtyard that mimics the vast aqueduct of the central valley.

This is a small but beautiful work of art that I fear is often overlooked. Its a fascinating display of seven large sculptures set on a wide plaza. Each sculpture represents a different part of California, from the desert, to a river, to a redwood forest. Because its overlooked, there arent many people there, so its very peaceful. I couldnt understand why one of the sculptures represented The Spirit of the Lima Bean, but learned that the businessman who developed the South Coast Plaza complex built it on his familys lima bean farm. This sculpture display is tucked amid tall office buildings and parking is limited. But its worth the drive, and a good place for photos. I noticed one couple taking engagement photos there.
