Paved trail that has great views of the foothills and the valley. Trash cans spread along the paved trail. Several benches along the way to rest including at the top of the hill. The dirt trail that leads up to the top of Bald Hill should be hiked with caution when wet, due to how slick the path can get. Always enjoy walking there!

Paved path is great in winter with about three miles there and back. When its dry enough, the hike up to the top also quite lovely.

Great place for a small hike through an old oak grove! An amazing view of Marys Peak at the top with a few old growth oaks for climbing (if youre into that sort of thing) Locals are a hit or miss; some are friendly, some are very cold. Great place to bring your dog or kiddo, and several trails to choose from. Either way, very easy hike with rewarding views.

Family friendly paved trail. Good for strollers, walking, running, bikes, and scooters. The out and back trail is 1.5 miles from parking lot to parking lot for a total length of 3 miles. There are also various unpaved trails to explore too.

Its a great place to go for walk, run or a hike. I enjoy the trails, I mainly come here for my runs. People are courteous, and a friendly reminder, make sure that if youre running or riding your bike, be courteous enough to notify the people for your own safety and theirs.

I love the Bald Hill area! There are lots of trails around and several access points, such as Oaks, Reservoir Rd, and the Fairgrounds. The area is beautiful at all seasons, and there is a lovely view of Corvallis from the top with some benches to sit. There are horse trails and off leash areas too.

This is one of my favorite public recreation areas in Corvallis. There is everything fromeasy paved trails to horse trails to mountain biking trails. The views from the top are amazing. Sadly, I stayed on the easy trails this time and dont have a photo from the top. Its pet friendly and has lots of places to deposit poo bags.

Im glad this place is not a housing development and that people in Corvallis value open spaces like this... Over all though kinda bland but good to get out so close to Corvallis... The murkey Creek trail is a good addition and I hope to see more in years to come...

Easily accessible from three different parking lots, as well as being walking distance from campus. The trail system even connects to fitton green and beyond. Great views from the top and just generally good for multi-use recreation.

I love love love this space. Ample parking at trail heads. Paved trail for walking, running, bikes, strollers and wheelchairs. There is a port-a-potty along the paved trail. There are unpaved trails as well for those wanting to hike to the top of the hill. Stunning views from all areas!

Beware of Cougars! That is my only complaint as I saw one on one of my runs. Otherwise a great place. Read the signs, if there is a cougar warning, do not take your kids off the main paved trail. Not the easiest hike, but far from the hardest, and the views at the top are rewarding. Allow 60-90 minutes from the trailhead to the summit and back. Great to have a nice natural area so close to Corvallis!

Great place to visit. There are hiking trails and biking trails all over the place. This is a beautiful secluded area in Corvallis for anyone who likes to take extended strolls outside. My son and I just volunteered to count wild turkeys there with Oregon Green Trust. This is definitely one of the jewels here in Corvallis.

Easy quick hike. All the trails connect so its impossible to get lost. The first trail you encounter from the parking lot (by the fairgrounds) is pretty steep but doesnt take long to complete.

Ro
Review №43

Crowded on the weekends....parking lot on Oak Creek Dr. Is too small and way too crowded to be usable on the weekend. No porta potties for a me or so up Midge Cramer (ideally, should be at the entrances to the park). Beautiful walk though and a lot of wild life to see.

Ja
Review №44

Good place to take a walk with opportunity to ascend to the top of Bald Hill (highly recommended). There are three parking areas to access Bald Hill. The Benton County Fairgrounds to the East, the NW Oak St. access, and the SW Reservoir Ave access. All 3 are connected by a paved walkway that leads to the base of Bald Hill. The walkway is multiuse; bicycles are frequently using the path, too. Keep your ears and eyes out for them. There are various trails that connect to the walkway which allows for a nice walk depending upon what you want to do. You can walk partly around the base, or even walk from SW Reservoir to NW Oak street and back. There is an old barn at the Northeast base of the hill. There is an off leash dog area hat is marked near the barn. A portable toilet is located there as well.A trip to the summit is not difficult and doesnt take very long. The West side of the hill near the top has a bench with a great view of Marys Peak and the Fitton Green Ridge. There is also a bench at the summit near the summit marker that gives a decent view to the Southeast. An important note: Stay on the trails. Private property surrounds the entire area, and in a number of places, the trail crosses a portion of said property. The property owners granted an easement to the county for all to enjoy, so the rules are pretty simple...leave no trace and stay on the trail.

A sprawling countryside feel, while enjoying paved and non-paved trails. Bicyclists, leashed dogs, skaters. Families enjoy outing with parents and grandparents. There are birds and wildlife to be seen, trails are well marked and connected. One of my favorite places to enjoy massive fresh air, some shade and sunshine. Parking can be a concern, there are 2 on either sides. Porta potties available, usually kept very clean , offering sanitizer also.

Jo
Review №68

Trails are marked well and mapped. Great options: paved or rough surfaces, short or long loops (around 5 miles), flat courses or steady climb to the hill top (maybe 400 of vert). Tough to get lost if you familiarize yourself with the trail map and watch the signs. My favorite place for a moderate run when were visiting the area.

One of my familys favorite places for long walks and bike rides for years. Very nice people there dogs are allowed on leashes friendly traffic Lots of nice nature to observe. The trails are manicured for the most part, and you can go on a long walk without getting your feet muddy, or choose to go through the woods risking the attack of mud but having a great time also.

Great hiking location, in a relatively central part of Corvallis being right behind the fairgrounds. Bike paths stretch all the way from campus to the base of bald hill. A plethora of different trails to chose from, all with different grade and technicality. Some are great for hiking, or riding horses (people actually do this here), and some are great for an easy hike. A scenic open barn-structure rests near the base of the hill and works well for table picnics or other activities. There are several bench-kiosks assuring you wont get lost, and several benches at the top as well. Visibility from the top is nice, however there is only a view of the western mountain range. For a much better view I recommend the nearby Dimple Hill of the MacDonald Forest. All of Corvallis is visible from this one.
