Cutest museum ever! Very informative. A good balance of childish exhibits vs informative exhibits. The play areas are awesome and all have something to teach. Its also every inexpensive. My favorite thing has to be the Corpus Christi history area. Glad to know they are teaching their home towns history!

Cute place to kill time, my family had fun and were interested in many parts of the museum. The part my kids were looking forward to the most was, of course, the science section/kids area. As soon as we got to that section, a class of children and an adult came out of a room and into the kids area. Signs clearly say no running, and these kids were running wild, bumping into my 2 yr old, no masks, touching faces and touching little blocks and other toys located in this area. No social distancing. The adult who was supposed to be watching them was not. The class left zero space for my kids to explore, even after waiting 20 to 30 min. They still werent gone. So disappointing. It felt clean, except this area. It smelled and felt dirty. Highly touched areas were obviously unclean.

This was a great museum for its size! There was plenty to look at and experience. It had a little bit for everyone. My kids ventured from DNA to dinos to the history of Corpus. The staff was over the top nice. This museum was a 9 out of 10 for COVID friendly. They checked our temperatures and went over mask procedures on the way in. Everyone was socially distanced and there were cleaning supplies every where. There were a ton of things to touch and touch my kid did. It wasn’t built to be touch-free and that’s okay.

I had a great time at the Museum of Science and History! I honestly did not have high expectations due to a few bad reviews and really just not knowing anyone who has been. I am very impressed with the exhibits. The first one we looked at was Geology. There was an amazing amount of rocks and information about them. My boyfriend saw a review that you could get through all of the exhibits within 15 minutes. Whoever posted that much have just been walking through. We spent between 2.5-3 hours in there and honestly didnt spend as much time on every exhibit. I definitely recommend this museum to anyone who has any interest in history especially.

My daughter has attended the museums summer science camp each summer since 2013, at her request each year. The kids are exposed to tons of fun, while simultaneously learning and developing inquisitive minds about the world they live in. Even in this years COVID environment, they did an exceptional job keeping the kids clean, safe, and mentally active. Kudos to the excellent staff, counselors, and to all the museum backers for providing an outstanding community program to kids, all at a reasonable camp price.

It was great, hardly anyone there, felt like we had the place to ourselves. Theres a large geological exhibit that is interesting as well as an exhibit featuring findings from a ship wreck. You can see everything in the museum within a few hours depending on how long you spend in each area. Masks are required and there are hand sanitizers through out the entire museum which is very convenient. The collections are not as vast as say the Houston museum but it is still nice. I would recommend it to anyone who hasnt been before and we will definitely return.

While in town for the weekend, my family of five (3 adults and 2 kids) visited this museum on a whim and we were not disappointed! We paid a total of $27 for entry. The museum has a huge historical section complete with a life-size ship. They also, surprisingly, had a rather large children’s section that was interactive. Our kids were able to climb through a huge climbing structure, build with life size blocks, construct DNA, enjoy a small planetarium, climb a rock wall, and walk up and down stairs made of piano key steps that actually played tunes as you take steps! I was so surprised that on a Saturday afternoon during spring break, there was no crowding. Our kids enjoyed the exhibits without having to battle other kids.

Seriously fun for parents and kids(ages 12, 10, 5). There was so much more to do than we had time for in our 3.5 hr visit. We were lucky enough to visit on New Year’s Eve for a dollar days discount event with extra fun activities including a noon balloon drop, resolution post-it wall, games and display tables with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Outdoor xeriscape garden was beautiful, educational, and a nice place for a family photo ;)

The place is not worth the time or money. Half of the interactive exhibits did not work and no one was even trying to fix them. The planetarium was malfunctioning so it created a double vision. Exhibits were still being set up and moved around. Took only an hour to see everything since so much was not working. Kids were bored (ages 13 and 8). I was seriously disappointed in this. The whole thing of going to corpus was the excitement of going there.will not ever waste my time in going back.

I was really torn between a three star and a four star on this one. The local history section is pretty big and very informative and the nautical archaeology section is very interesting. Decent display of gems, the dinosaur sections a little small as is the wetland section. There are, however, a lot of guns. They do feature some live demonstrations and have occasional special events which are interesting. The main reason I gave it a three is because they have a very big interactive hands-on section which has a lot of potential but on this last visit quite a few of the hands-on displays didn’t work properly or simply didn’t work. Kind of a letdown when you have kids with you. My understanding is that they sustained damage during hurricane Harvey and are in process of receiving grant money that should be able to fix these issues.

It was okay. Kind of pricey. Was upset because everything that they have for kids to play with was broken or not functioning properly. There is an area with nothing at all. Could use some updating and proper cleaning. The outdoor play area is kind of small but nice. The music things they have out there needs to be maintained properly, my kids didmt get to enjoy because it was covered in dirt and bugs. The water feature is cute but again full of bugs. There was a field trip going on and the kids were running everywhere, and not being mindful of the little kids that were there.

I want to like this place. The dinosaurs exhibit is broken. Half the hands on exhibits are broken. The outside playground is nice. I am disappointed that they dont keep up more of the hands on things for the kids.Thank you for the response. While I understand that with kids and adults coming and going that things get broken, it seems like an overstatement on your part to say everything is 100 percent operational. Maybe I should be more clear as to what is broken. The dinosaurs exhibit only one side works. The side that did work in the dinosaurs exhibit was spastic. The balance act exhibit, when you put matching weights on either side and it still didnt balance out correctly. The exhibit that you shoot pingpong balls, half the balls where broken and out of the three launchers only one works. Next to the indoor playground the flip the rings exhibit the paddles are broken. Maybe my expectations were set to high for your small operation to keep up with.

Lots of interesting and educational exhibits areas. Covers the history of the area quite well. Also has very well designed displays on the oil industry, including a refinery model and powered oil well pump. Extensive and well labeled displays of rocks, minerals, metals, plants, animals and much more. Many hands on items for children, as well.Pricing quite reasonable. Spent three hours there and could have spent more. Only minor negative was we had a little trouble locating it as it is sort of hidden behind a huge local event center. Driving signage needs to be improved!
